8hours Post Delivery to 2 weeks Post. How time flies 🐣💙 Starting weight- 54.4kg 40 weeks pregnant - 73.4kg 14 days post - 60.0kg . If I lived by one mantra it would of being, Just keep moving. Reduce, Modify, Change, but Never Ever give up. . Logan was born an Incredible 57cm long and to this day I have no idea how he fitted in my belly. . I went from powerlifting/body building pre pregnancy- 30weeks to aqua aerobics & pilates to being so immobile i was seated on a chair with dumbbells and bands up until my waters broke 2 hours after a workout 😅 . Such a long road ahead to recovery but every day we spend together makes every workout mean so much more. . Ya’ll...can I just brag on my friend Danielle for a hot second?? She’s a mama to 2 very active girlies...works as a volleyball coach in Des Moines...and worked her tail off and she deserves a huge high five!! 👏🏻 . These results are after 8 weeks of our lifting and HIIT program....that she did from home in 30-40 min a day... . You guys...she lost 9 lbs and 5 inches 😱 and I couldn’t be more proud of her!!! . She told me this tonight: When I started this program....I thought “sure I’ll give it a try... I’m in pretty good shape” then I got on the scale, took the measurements and the dreaded pre pictures.... hahaha no, no Danielle you are not in “pretty good shape” 😂 . I stuck to the program, ate good food (I didn’t really use the containers just stopped eating bad things... minus pizza on fridays). I LOVED that this program was only 4 days a week so I could give myself some grace if I missed a workout when life got crazy and just make it up on a rest day. The biggest thing was I didn’t give up or let my excuses get the best of me. I have been doing workouts every this for a few years now and this was only the 2nd program that I completed from start to finish... that’s right 2nd!!! 😮It was by far my favorite and I will totally be doing it again after I finish the 6 week program that I just started yesterday!” . Gosh I looooove hearing how doable these programs are for anyone...and how now that she’s completed a program...she has no doubt that she can do it again!!! 🙌🏼💃🏼😍Music to my ear!! AND that she didn’t let her excuses get the best of her. Way to go!!!

Complete transparency, no Day Two of Transform:20 today for me. My sleep has been horrible the last few days, my digestion has been off and I am exhausted. Throwing an intense, albeit short workout at my body when I feel this way will do nothing but cause my Hashimoto’s to worsen. Today I am choosing to honor my body and REST. I am not a quitter. I am not giving up. I am doing my best. I’m here to tell you that you do not have to compare yourself to anyone else. Your transformation is yours and it may take more time than others. I don’t want anyone making the same mistakes I did in the past. You know your body best. I spent too many days, even months pushing myself to keep doing more than my body was telling me I was capable of. Tomorrow will be Day Two and I’m okay with that. Don’t compare your journey to anyone else. 💜

I've gotten asked the same question a lot this pregnancy.... • "How do you stay so active while pregnant?" • The answer, if I have to be brief • I change my expectations and do my best. • For me, that means lots of modifications. It means moving slower and taking longer rests. It means using lighter weights sometimes. It means sleeping in when my body needs the rest and not feeling the pressure to "make it up" later. • Ultimately, it means honoring my body thought this brief period and making the changes it needs, without the guilt of things I "should" be doing. • Pregnancy is a time to listen and take care of your body, not see how far you can push it. Trust me, it is already working overtime to grow a person, it doesn't need the extra pressure. #rewriteyourresolution

The government shutdown going on has my heart breaking...💔Hundreds of thousands of workers could go without paychecks and who knows for how long. I just can’t imagine one day my employer saying that they just can’t pay me but yet I still need to put the hours in. How will these people pay their bills, provide food and stability for their families?😥 . Do you have a second, third or more streams of income if this were to happen to you? They say on average, millionaires have 7 streams of income! I mean I’m no millionaire by any means but I am grateful that Joe and I have multiple streams of income, or “cushion” if you call it. Just in case...because shit happens. . My health and fitness business truly is a blessing. I can pick up and work anywhere I need to and without sacrificing my time with the kids. I've recently realized that #littlegirls start to lose their #selfconfidence as young as 8 and most are starting to lose it by the age of 12😥 That's a very scary stat if you ask me. What happens to little girls with low self-confidence can be very scary. Anything from anxiety, loss of resilience, lower effort at school, loss of interest in activities, self-harm and so much more. I've struggled with low self-confidence as long as I can remember and #mydaughter, now only 7, is already showing signs. She gets upset when she does her homework wrong, wants to give up easily on things that she can't do and gets anxious at many little things. It's frustrating and heart breaking for a parent all at the same time. Then one day it dawned on me that if I want her to be self-confident than I need to be the example of that for her💡 Duh! Over here embracing my mom body because the confidence needs to grow...more self love is needed...and there is no reason for me to feel any different after three kids....truth is....I struggle with this...& I want to be more comfortable in my own skin...and I had a great reminder today...⁣ ⁣ I was talking with a client today & she asked “how long did it take you to get back to your old body” 🤨....I explained to her this journey hasn’t been about bouncing back to my “old body” or about losing weight. It has been about being the healthiest and strongest I can be not only for myself but for my girls. I do have goals and I am fully aware of where my body is as right now and where I want to be in the future, but in the midst I do this for my health, my mental wellness, and for the love of nutrition and fitness I have. I have not one or two but THREE beautiful girls that look up to me as their mom and role model and I want them to see a strong and happy mom and grow up to become smart, healthy, strong, and happy women. I don’t want them to be followers or what society wants them to be I want them to be THEM. It’s not about what my body looks like. I have accepted my new body as a mom, I embrace it, my body has created three beautiful girls. My hubby and I are completely blessed to be their parents and the family we have created together. I have worked hard mentally and physically to be where I am and still work towards that self growth daily but it really bothers me how fast as moms our confidence as goes out the door because of loose skin and stretch marks and what society makes you think you have to do or look like after a baby, No thank you 🤚🏼 I will embrace every bit of my #mombody and live my life without caring what anyone thinks or says because at the end of the day I am healthy, fit, strong, and happy and under that loose skin there lies a story of each baby girl I have brought to this world. Don’t let anyone take away your confidence or down talk you because only you know the hard work you put in and only you know what your goals are. We are all in the same journey just on different paths ✌🏽EMBRACE YOU!

"There are few things more unpredictable than a newborn, especially their sleep schedule. My daughter was a notoriously bad sleeper through the first year of her life. Every night she'd wake at least two times to either nurse or require soothing. There were a few breakdowns where I whispered to my husband "I can't take it anymore!" Even though I knew I'd be right back to being woken up the next night, I never actually dreaded the bedtime process. . Now, clearly that sounds insane, but I promise, I'm not a secret masochist. I knew the middle of the night could be rough, but putting my daughter to bed has always been surprisingly easy. We've never had to do much coddling to get her to sleep. Even now, as an almost three-year-old, she easily occupies herself in her bedroom until she's ready to fall asleep, only coming downstairs if she needs to use the bathroom. He cried, he yelled, he tried everything to get me to stop working out and a few times I was tempted to just give in but it was just 20 minutes so I just let him throw his big ole tantrum and I went about my 20 minute workout. It wasnt pretty but it's done and I feel much better about myself for not quitting. I love my son and being a single Mommy means I dont have a partner to watch him while I take some time for myself. So I have to make the time and little man has to be right there with me. We did it and now we are all good, Mommy has been forgiven. Some days are just busier than others - that’s life! . Know how I make sure I’m prepared in times that I am just go, go, go & don’t have time to really stop and make dinner? 🥘 . Does it sound strange that lately I find calm in folding my children’s clean clothes, changing their sheets and cooking for my family? Sorta. Right? Since I have been a full-time, working mom, my kids have stepped up their responsibility. Most of the time, they wash their own clothes, change their own sheets, pack their own lunches and help me with dinner. My little Milly has been sick for a few days, which means I have been balancing caring for her, and also working from home. I am grateful for a job which allows me this flexibility. I love my job, but being home always reminds me to take a pause and remember these moments. Tasks, which may seem mundane, truly are precious. Folding and sorting their little (and big) clothes, has been good for my soul. Stop. Look around at the dishes, the lunches, and yes, even the laundry. And say a little prayer of gratitude. #momstrong #gratitude

This week we are learning about macronutrients! (proteins, fats and carbs!) Check out today's helpful info!⠀ ⠀ Why count macronutrients and the importance of balancing them:⠀ ⠀ So yesterday we learned that macronutrients are proteins, fats & carbs. We also learned that they play a huge role in our daily bodily functions.⠀ ⠀ Let’s jump into the importance of balanced macronutrients and why we should count them?⠀ ⠀ We will start with an example: Sally is following a restrictive 1200 calorie diet and her goal is weightloss. Her diet is made up of mostly carbs with minimal fat and protein. Sally doesn’t go to the gym because she is exhausted but has faith in her diet because she is eating so few calories.⠀ ⠀ Here is the problem, sally is exhausted because her carb count is too high and her fat count is too low. But she isn’t counting her macronutrients so she doesn’t know. She is also not having success in weight loss because her carb count is too high for her activity level.⠀ ⠀ Another problem Sally has run into is that she follows some amazing athletes on social media. One of the athletes share their macro count as part of their journey and Sally thinks that she can just adopt this macro count. However, everything about Sally’s life is completely different than the athlete. Therefore, again, Sally’s macronutrient count is not balanced.⠀ ⠀ The bottom line is: excess energy intake (food) leads to obesity or in the very least a plateau; which is EXTREMELY frustrating when you feel like you are doing everything right and not seeing results.⠀ ⠀ So what does one do? You work with an experienced person who will give you YOUR SPECIFIC macronutrient count.⠀ ⠀ So how does a macro count fit in with our daily calorie intake? GETTING YOUR BODY “BACK” AFTER BABY • Hey #newmoms (and not-so-new moms)! Are you thinking about getting back to fitness after newborn bliss? I’m going to explore five tips for doing so safely and effectively in this week’s series, so that you can look forward to being #momstrong! • 2. Consult with a certified postnatal/post-partum personal trainer. Not all trainers have this additional education for working with a “special” population (um, you just created a brand new tiny human being - I’d say you’re “special” all right!). Physiotherapists specializing in pelvic floor muscles are also a good resource for you. • Once you have made this contact, please heed their advice and recommendations. My wish for you is that you find a great resource who is hip (and sympathetic) to the challenges of early motherhood, including breastfeeding, sleep deprivation, wonky hormones and all the rest. My trainer was not - he chided me for my percent body fat! There might be some great male postnatal trainers out there, but you might have better success with someone who has actually been in your shoes firsthand. • I wish I was a certified postnatal resource for you, however, at this point in my career, I am not. I’ll provide some recommendations in the comments. Just one part of my “why.” Do I love fancy gyms? Yes. Do I love matching workout apparel? Heck yes. A few years ago when I worked as a health & wellness instructor and personal trainer I had an onslaught of cute, matching workout clothes and enough pairs of shoes that those would even be color coordinated to my outfit. I loved going to nice gyms with all of the amenities and meeting up with friends for group classes. But what do I love even more now? Wearing whatever is on top for workout gear, most of the time working out barefoot, meeting up with the best accountability partner under 3’ and being able to capitalize on the amount of time I spend at home with my family. One of my customers told me today that she loves beachbody on demand because it gives her the freedom to change programs if she doesn’t like one of them or press pause if either of her girls needs something. To pay $8-$9/month and have the FREEDOM to choose your workout, workout space, workout clothes AND workout partners is amazing!! While I love my early morning workouts, these afternoon workouts are my absolute favorite!! Especially watching Turner watch the videos and try to do some of the moves 😂

Happiness is an 8:30pm workout done despite my best efforts to skip ✅ . HAPPINESS is pushing past your million excuses, doing the work even if it’s late, and feeling damn proud as a result. 🙌💪🏻😍 . We set our alarms and hit snooze too many times. The workday gets stressful and then you’re too busy taking care of everyone and everything after work to take time for you. You’re exhausted by the end of the day. . I get it...health and fitness can be T O U G H. It’s challenging mentally and physically. Many days it’s a big step out of your comfort zone to do the work. So today was one of those rare days in Vegas when it literally rained NONSTOP. ☔️ I mean we are talking so much fog was created that the mountains disappeared from the skyline kind of rain. 😳 . It’s super easy on days like this to be extremely UNMOTIVATED. 😔 The weather is yucky, you can’t go outside, it’s cold, and all you really wanna do is curl up on the couch under a blanket in front of a fireplace and get warm. 🔥 (I guess I’m still a Michigander at heart). . The point is...There will ALWAYS be circumstances and things that you can CHOOSE to let get in the way of your goals. You can talk yourself out of doing something faster than you can talk yourself into it. 🗣 Motivation will not always conquer all if you don’t develop a HABITUAL LIFESTYLE that’s centered around what’s truly IMPORTANT to you. 💗 . What do I do as a coach?
