I can't say I miss Portugal as a country just as much as I miss Timor, the Amazon, Colombia, or Iran (among others) - I live in the now as much as I can. So why returning? Ciało nie zna mięśni, ćwiczeń ani konkretnych dyscyplin. Ciało zna ruch i do tego jest stworzone. Tak jak z każdym narzędziem- gdy korzystasz z niego zgodnie z przeznaczeniem i prawidłowo o nie zadbasz, posłuży Ci na długo. Różnica jest taka, że ciało nie ma okresu gwarancji ani części wymiennych. Tylko w ruchu jesteś w stanie w pełni wykorzystać swój potencjał do bycia człowiekiem, podejmować się każdego zadania i aktywności bez ograniczeń i czerpać radość ze sprawnego ciała. It's Monday! So it's time to move a bit. Swipe left to watch the videos. As you can see from both videos, I got both my clients who are seniors to do a movement flow with a weighted ball. Below are some of the things that are being worked on while doing this flow. 1. Shoulder mobility when circling the ball around the head. 2. Spinal mobility (rotation) while turning the upper body 3. Single leg stability while doing the forward lunge. As we age, our mobility tends to deteriorate. So doing this movement flow helps keep the shoulders and spine mobile while we can work on single leg stability and strength as well. Lastly, thank you @mvolversg for introducing me to flow. It has helped my clients a lot and I'm now addicted to playing around with movement! Movement should be part of our daily lives rather than just in exercising, the more we move, the more mobile we get. 🧠 - The Cerebellum Cb (the ‘little brain’ - PART II) modulates & helps refine the quality of all of our voluntary movement. The cerebellum is responsible for: RATE, RHYTHM, FORCE & ACCURACY of movement. @the.brain.guy is an incredibly important brain structure. It’s a small lobe at the back of the brain & accounts for only around 10-11% of the brain’s volume, but it contains over 50% of the total number of neurons in the brain. ---- 🧠 - There are three functional zones in the Cb: The Medial, Intermediate & lateral zones. The Medial zone (or the Vermis) corresponds with motor modulation over midline structures & has direct connection to our vestibular (balance) system & communicates (with the vestibular system) 1 million times per second while at rest! When completing complex dynamic movements at high speed, such as in the embedded clip, this amount of communication would be exponentially higher! ---- 🧠 - The Intermediate (paravermis) & lateral (neocerebellum) zones correspond to proximal & distal joints respectively.
