Someone posted a picture of ramen last week and I've been wanting a bowl ever since. Didnt realize how calorific the noodles are๐Ÿ˜ณ the calories on the packet were very misleading. I fried my bok choi and mushrooms in one tbsp of sesame oil, but didnt count it as I didnt use the oil packet in the noodles. Anyway. We both had folded quesadillas, more like a pizza inside using a ww wrap hexb with tomato pureฬe, 30g @ilchestercheese applewood cheese hexa and 1 tbsp reduced fat @asda green pesto 1.5syns, I fried mine off in 1 tsp of flora light as I find it gives a nicer golden softness rather than just fry light and is worth the extra syn! Served with a side salad for speed! Albi adores finger food like this so his was the same but I used full fat pesto in his! ๐Ÿ| Just me and my green apple fizz gathering the energy to complete @courtneydblack Badass Boxing ๐ŸฅŠ - Generally I struggle to workout at home because I just love the gym and weights much more. Getting out to the gym each day was my little bit of me time to take me away from all the things I could be doing at home instead of relaxing๐Ÿ˜‚ the gym actually relaxes me. Up until pregnancy I would go to the gyms 4/5 times a week minimum however most of the time it was 6 maybe 7 or when I lived in aus Iโ€™d workout at our apartment gym in the morning and go to the actual gym at night๐Ÿ˜‚ finding the @courtneyblackapp has saved my sanity the last couple weeks and Iโ€™m actually beginning to enjoy home workouts. Who knows maybe even when the gyms re-open I might still filter a few into my week. - When it comes to post partum weightloss I most definitely didnโ€™t snap back๐Ÿ˜… I about doubled in size during pregnancy partly due to not being able to gym because of pgp but also because I was emotionally eating for about 5 not just 2๐Ÿ˜… I also think being unable to workout contributed to this as it helps me keep a level head and clear my thoughts. I thought Iโ€™d be jealous of those who do snap back but iโ€™m finding peace with my own journey and who knows they might have a baby who cries all day while my baby fills the day with laughter ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ nobodyโ€™s motherhood journey is perfect. If somebody had given me this body without the baby Iโ€™d probably have cried for a year and hated myself but I actually have so much respect and love for my body with what it has been through. You truly donโ€™t see how far youโ€™ve come till you look back. Honestly when I took that first picture I cried, I was 2 months postpartum and was finding accepting my new โ€œmum bodyโ€ really hard. I couldnโ€™t even exercise because of my C section recovery so I had just given in with the hope of ever getting back to the old me. The middle one is me when lockdown started, and I saw the opportunity to finally invest my time in myself and shift this weight. The end picture is me now, 15 months on from the girl crying in the mirror, fully changed my lifestyle and I can finally see Iโ€™m on the path to where I want to be. Busy trying to be my best self for our little one. Weโ€™ve been training, doing laps of the island and going up the hill down the road. Parenting mantra of the day: 'This phase won't last forever' A couple of weeks ago Aria developed a high pitched scream...in fact the term 'wail' probably better describes it! โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € Anytime she was upset, annoyed...hungry ๐Ÿ™„, she'd launch into this scream that was so shrill I'm pretty sure bats miles away could hear it. It actually got to the point where I was semi-paranoid that the neighbours would start to think we were abusing her! โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € In order to not go clinically insane I started mentally blocking it out. I knew there was nothing wrong with her...no one needs to scream as though they are being savagely attacked just because their oat bar fell on the floor - it's just not that deep sis. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € Flash forward to this weekend and my husband mentioned the fact he hadn't heard her scream for a while. We thought back and realised it has been a whole week and it had coincided with her vocabulary expanding extensively! I suppose now she has more words to describe how that oat bar laying on the floor makes her feel lool (she'd go as far as 'sad' & 'dirty')! โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € Moral of this long winded story is that when you're going through it - be it tantrums, night waking, lack of walking or talking - just remember this too shall pass. Someday it'll just stop and you may not even notice it - then you'll look back and forget what all the fuss was about in the first place! โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € It definitely doesn't feel that way in the moment and it doesn't make handling the phase any easier but it is a phase and it WILL end. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € What phases or habits did your little one have that nearly drove you mad?

Mum Tum Iโ€™ve really debated whether to post this! When I first look at it there is so much that bothers me about it, especially my mum tum! If I try and look at it through different eyes I see a content bubba having a sunshine snuggle with his mumma, who is looking more relaxed than she has done in weeks after having an actual awake feed... out doors and everything! Without the mum tum he wouldnโ€™t be here to snuggle in like a little bush baby and who knows how many opportunities Iโ€™ll get for snuggly photos before heโ€™s far too big and cool for mummy cuddles. Plus after burning the other day my tan is looking goooood!! Comfy man trousers!!!! But woke with no bloat after a day fasting... feels so much better already.. last ate at 1830h on Monday night (homemade chilli & wedges). So 37.5h into this one and will continue today as well for a big kickstart. โ€ข โ€ข Still lots to go... 78kg / 12.5 this morning.. wanna get sub 12st again, goal 11st7 / 73kg. Corona, lockdown, unemployment, cancellations - all of these things that have turned the world upside down have brought, of course a lot of negatives, but seriously how blessed am I to have so much precious time with my gorgeous (yes Iโ€™m biased) little cherub and husband. . . Not long before all of this began I was working 9-5 and spending so much less time with Grayson than I had wished for becoming a mummy, and next to no time with Joey. I wished for this time. I cried that I didnโ€™t have it, almost every day, I dreamt of being able to be home with Grayson and see him change with my own eyes rather than in pictures. . . And here we are months later, after spending so many cherished moments together, seeing Grayson change so dramatically - becoming such a clever, bubbly, hilarious little dude. I seriously feel so lucky. . . Now, more than ever it is so important for me to grow my business and help other mums who want to stay home be able to do so this once all of this is over, lockdown is done with and working 9-5 becomes normal again. . . Becoming a coach and learning the ropes whilst juggling being a mummy, moving home, being a good wife etc isnโ€™t easy but anything worth having is worth working for. . .
