What’s most important for muscle gain? I’ve made it super simple where abouts you should be focussing your attention. Don’t worry too much about anything higher up the pyramid before you’ve nailed the lower layers. 1) Sufficient stimulus from training. Ensure you’re training with enough volume and progression over time in weight and volume to provide a good stimulus. 2) Sufficient protein intake. Ideally muscle protein synthesis should outweigh muscle protein breakdown. This means eating at least 20-30g protein at least 2 times and at ideally 4 times in a day split out by at least 2-3 hours. 3) Sufficient calorie intake. Building muscle is a calorie intensive process for the body so ensuring you eat enough calories is important to maximise muscle growth. You can build muscle in a calorie deficit but not optimally and it becomes harder with more experience. To maximise muscle growth being in a small to moderate surplus is advisable. #musclegain #musclegrowth #musclefood #bulking

But we're right back 🥳💃🏼🕺🏽 with a KETOLICIOUS selfmade bread 🤩🤩🤩💛💛💛🥖 I always thought baking my own bread would be really difficult but this beauty actually took me just 5️⃣ minutes to prepare 😃🤭 the recipe is really easy and quick just follow the next few wise instructions 🤓 Picture 📸 by @ketomealz_official What you'll need is: 35 g chia seeds 75 g sunflower seeds 75 g crunched walnuts or almonds or any other but you prefer 25 g coconut or almond flour 75 g psyllium husks 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 50 g melted butter (best grass fed #kerrygoldbutter) 2 eggs size medium 250 ml warm water -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Mix all the dry ingredients together 2. Add #kerrygold butter and eggs 3. Add warm water and mix until a smooth paste 4. A few low cost items can go a long way. 🌱💪🏼⁣ ⁣ People say that eating vegan or plantbased is expensive. This is generally only true when you’re buying processed items. If you stick to whole foods you’ll dramatically decrease how much you spend. 🌱💸📉⁣ ⁣ Are there expensive whole food items? Yes, but the majority are relatively low cost. And above are some good examples. 👍🏼⁣ ⁣ I’m not knocking processed vegan food. I eat some of it myself. Comfortable is nice, but nothing grows there. 💪 4 wks ago I started lifting 5 lb weights and it burned like hell. The last 2 wks I been working on the 8's, but this morning I pushed 10's throughout my entire workout. [email protected] YEAH! And it burned like hell. I have never sweat or worked 4 that sweat, like I did 2day. I decided 2 clean my meals up a tad bit more by keeping my ass home and cooking them this entire wk, every meal. Why do people think there's something magical about January 1st that can’t be achieved today? I’m ALL about enjoying holiday foods, but I am NOT all about eating yourself to the fat👖stage. Halloween and holiday parties are only a few occasions out of the year. It shouldn’t be a license to throw self-care out the window in the name of a few forgettable holiday treats. Definitely ENJOY your favorite foods and take advantage of the festivities, but be mindful about WHY you’re eating. Mini review, apologies for no videos recently but much more to come 👹 @powerful.foods Strawberry greek yogurt blows other brands out of the water. With only 7g of sugar and a whopping 21g of protein this yogurt is absolutely guilt free. The consistency and flavor are ideal for greek yogurt making it impossible to tell how healthy and protein packed it is. Throw your Chobani in the trash and pick up one of these next time you grocery shop. We found this at Target on a spontaneous trip so it’s likely to be in other supermarkets. If you can’t find it in stores, check out their instagram for a link to their amazon account. Rating 9/10 for this one. Well done @powerful.foods 💪

A very science based tip today, but one that you hopefully find helpful as to why creatine can benefit your training, or your sport. ATP, or Adenosine Triphosphate, is what the body uses to create energy, to perform actions, such as contracting a muscle. It doesn’t matter if we get our energy from carbs, fats or proteins, it must first be used to create ATP. The body only stores a small amount of ATP at one time, and it relies on it being used and replaced quickly in order to continue performing the activity we want to perform. Carbohydrates are the body’s predominant source of fuel in high-intensity activities, which all my GAA athletes have been shown. This is because glucose (the broken down form of carbohydrate), can be stored within the muscle in sufficiently high amounts, ready to be used in high demands during games, as well as having the ability to produce ATP at a relatively fast rate. When playing GAA, weight-lifting, sprinting or other high intensity field sports, carbohydrates can’t even replace this ATP quick enough. So what our body does in this case, is turn to the phosphocreatine (or creatine phosphate) system, which creates ATP much more quickly than carbohydrates, but can only keep producing ATP quickly for a short amount of time. The creatine phosphate system produces ATP at a rate that is limited partly by the amount of creatine that is present in the body. Without making this extremely confusing, when creatine is present in the body, it joins to a phosphate, to form creatine phosphate. This phosphate molecule can then be used to replace the phosphate in the broken down ATP, to form more ATP. So, long story short, Creatine helps recycle ATP and that allows more ATP (energy) to be produced in during short intense activities. In GAA matches for example, you will be able to replenish the ATP levels faster and go for that next sprint quicker or get that little bit more power in your next jump. When it comes to weight training, creatine helps replenish those ATP levels quicker, which helps us lift a little more weight or help us perform one more rep at the end of sets, leading to more strength and muscle growth

Avoiding liquid calories, filling up on veggies, and eating protein at every meal are all staple habit changes if you are looking to drop body fat.. - A full night's sleep, consistent exercise (3x per week minimum), and increased activity like upping your step count will also assist your fat loss goals. - An often overlooked aspect regarding fat loss is enjoyment. INDULGENT WHITE CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY PROTEIN RICE PUDDING - @efectivnutri is my new fave 🧡 their powders mix well, bake well and the flavours are divine. - Testing 1RMs this morning so I had to go on with my big fuel favourite; rice pudding!
