Anybody for a healthy cake? 😬 Ok, there are 2 packs of mascarpone but mascarpone is cheese and cheese is healthy, right? 🤷🏼‍♀️ A little cake never killed anybody. It’s gluten free and without any added sugar. The sweetener in this cake are bananas 🍌🍌🍌 Did I already mention I love bananas? For $5.48 I got 2 meals packed with protein, vitamins a&c, and deliciousness 👍🏻 Tip: fund our when your grocery store re-stocks. That being said, I found a flax muffin recipe online and made it my own by trying to use some better substitutes and they turned out BOMB 💣 🙌🏼 Ingredients: 1 cup coconut flour 1 cup almond meal 1/4 cup golden flax seed meal 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 cup coconut oil, room temp 1/4 cup coconut sugar 1/4 cup blue agave 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla extract 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (I used chobani) 1 1/2 cup fresh blueberries Directions: Preheat oven to 375 F and line muffin tin. Mix flour, almond meal, flax meal, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In sep bowl, mix coconut oil, coconut sugar, and agave until creamy. Add vanilla and yogurt and mix again. Add dry ingredients while mixing slowly and then fold in blueberries. The batter comes out thick, so I used an ice cream scooper to scoop out batter and put them into the separate muffin cups and it worked perfectly! Brownie de Camote💬. Cúando quieres comer algo rico y saludable, el camote es una papa dulce que es ideal para utilizar en preparaciones dulces como esta, además esta receta tiene muy poca cantidad de harina y por sobre todo es muy rápida. . Ingredientes!. 🍫1 camote grande (300 grs). 🍫3 huevos. 🍫1 cdita de vainilla. 🍫1cda de aceite vegetal. 🍫100 grs de azúcar o 70 de endulzante (sucralosa o tagatosa). 🍫50 grs. de harina (mezcle 25 de avena y 25 de trigo). 🍫75 grs. de cacao amargo en polvo. 🍫1 chorrito de leche (vegetal o la que tengas). . . My first grain dish in 27 days!!! Poke!!! 🤤 So yeah... I tried #Whole30, and made it to Whole27. And I do not consider that a failure. I consider it a true learning experience, and complete reinforcement of the concept of #bioindividuality...one person’s food is another person’s poison. After the two weeks of being on a bacon and egg high, my entire body went downhill. I hoped it was just sugar “withdrawal” symptoms, but it NEVER got better, and in doing some research I came to understand that I was having severe andrenal fatigue because of a moderate (100g) carb daily average. Yes - moderate! Not even low! At a moderate level, I had chronic stressors jacking my cortisol levels, which left me with NO energy, poor sleep, depressed, anxious, and unable to manage the tiniest of life stressors. I was miserable to be around. (Sorry to all those who had to deal with me in this experiment!) Case in point - Some of us run great on ketones. Others, like me, prefer glucose for fuel. At 27 days into Whole30, it was safe to assume that things were not going to get miraculously better in 3 days. But I am glad I did this experiment because now I know that I need an average 150 grams of nutrient-dense carbs to be the best version of myself - emotionally and physically. Today was the first in 27 days that I went back to the gym “fueled up” on glucose, and I CRUSHED my workout - smiling the whole time. I feel like a brand new person. What my mornings are lookin like: First I drink a glass of water then I start my metabolism with a smoothie- kale, banana, Pb, maca, cinnamon, hemp seeds and flax milk. Make a big enough batch to save some for your midday snack. Once digesting my smoothie, I eat avocado toast about 45 mins later. a smoothie first minimizes bloating. I eat that on my ride to work. 👩🏼‍🌾 — 3 hours later I eat my protein overnight oats with a banana and Pb. That fills me up until my next smoothie. 🍌🍓 — Farm work is basically a workout 8+ hrs a day so i have another protein and carb based meal of buffalo chickpea wraps. I don’t always eat them but they’re prepared depending on my level of activity. 🏋🏼‍♀️ — And lastly I have a salad with black beans or chickpeas for dinner once im home. A esta mitad agregale 2 barras de chocolate derretidos (microondas x 40 Seg), mejor sin azúcar pero esta vez no tenía y use el águila. Ahora te queda una mezcla de chocolate y la otra de banana.
