Today’s lunch was simple...no stove needed...which was a good thing because it was a warm day ☀️ Used some of my crock pot chicken that I meal prep for the week, and mixed in some mixed vegetables, chopped Romain, mayo, @tajinusa , and @tapatiohotsauce 👌🏽 Put it on a Romain lead for me and a tostada for the kids...drizzled some hot sauce with a side of cucumber and it was delicious! So, funny story. Nearly 5 years ago I made a few changes to my diet. I was doing all the things people say to do, but always feeling lethargic, tired and fat 😷. So I was faced with a decision. Do I keep doing what everyone said I should do? Or try doing something different 🤔 But the decision to keep doing what I was doing, was essentially the decision to keep feeling how I was feeling - crappy and fat 🥴. Lots of people told me it was unhealthy. Lots of people told me it wasn’t sustainable. Lots of people told me it wouldn’t work. But the funny thing is; Most of the people who told me it wasn’t healthy, aren’t looking too healthy these days 🤕. And most of the people who told me it wasn’t sustainable, are currently on their 12th new diet 🤪. And most of the people who told me it wouldn’t work, are asking me how I still get results 🤷🏻‍♂️. The only way to avoid criticism, ridicule or doubt is to never do anything different. But if you never try anything different, you’ll never achieve a different result 🚀. Keep doing the same thing = keep getting the same results. Nearly 5 years in, safe to say I’m comfortable with my decision.😉

Enjoy a recipe of Chia Pudding with Blueberries!! Ingredients: - 400ml coconut milk (or other) - 4 tbsp chia seeds - agave syrup (or other sweetener to taste) - a bit of vanilla, (cinnamon) Blueberry layer: ca. 2 TL blueberry powder (a bit water if needed) Topping: Blueberries Instructions: 1. Combine chia seeds, milk, syrup and vanilla, (cinnamon) in a jar and give it a good whisk. 2. Place it covered in the fridge for 3 hours at least (or over night). 3. Stir blueberry powder in one half of the chia pudding. 4. Finally, layer chia pudding in jars and top with fresh berries. Enjoy!! Recipe alert ------ Try these healthy and yummy cinnamon rolls made with whole wheat which will totally keep up your spirits! They are sweet and look absolutely delicious. Get ready to drool! Nutritional Benefits Whole wheat is a good source of fibers healthy for the gut. It is loaded with nutrients like iron, zinc and magnesium. Cinnamon is loaded with amazing antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties. It is helpful in curing diabetes and also helps in lowering blood sugar levels. Ingredients 30 grams whole wheat atta 1 teaspoon instant dry yeast 1 teaspoon coconut sugar 1 teaspoon ghee 50 ml milk Pinch of salt Water- as required To be prepared in the filling 1 teaspoon ghee 2 teaspoon cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon coconut sugar Calories: 223 Kcal Fats: 8.6 g Proteins: 5.9 g Carbohydrates: 31.1 g Method Combine yeast, sugar and 2 tablespoon of lukewarm water in a small bowl. Mix well and keep that aside for 10 minutes. In a saucepan, combine butter and milk. Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes. Keep it aside and let it cool. Combine whole wheat flour, butter-milk mixture, yeast-sugar mixture and salt and knead into a soft dough without using water. Cover it with a dump muslin cloth and keep it aside for 1 hour. Knead well and roll the dough into a rectangle keeping it a little thick. Spread the filling evenly over it leaving 1/2 inch of space from all the sides. Roll from the longer side to the other end. Cut into slices using sharp knife. Arrange them in a cake tin. Cover with a wet muslin cloth for 30 minutes and bake in preheated oven at 200 degree C for 20 minutes. Cool slightly and de-mould the rolls. Serve. Over to You This recipe is awesome if you want to prepare something nutritious to relish over. LETS TALK AIRPLANE SNACKS✔️ Long flights come with a whole host of side effects like: -expansion of gasses/liquids in your body which cause bloating and joint aches. -the recirculated air makes you more susceptible to getting sick -dehydration from the low humidity in the cabin -your body clock gets disrupted and causes fluctuations in your hormones This is just a fact of the big metal bird but why not do whatever you can to have the grooviest flight? ✈️ airplane food is usually very high in sodium to keep it preserved over long periods of time but this only dehydrated you more! I like to pack watery foods like cucumbers 🥒and drink lots of water throughout the flight. I also got my fav clif bars and roasted chickpeas because they have lots of calories and nutrients to keep you full but minimal volume for packing 🤙🏽😜 OFF TO INDIA WE GO 🇮🇳

It’s a bit of a gloomy day here in Byron but after wine and cheese night at the hostel we figured we should go to beach fitness this morning because you know BALANCE right? After training we realized we could hurry over to the farmers market before it closed so, still covered in sand and sweat, we biked over and made the final 30 minutes. I scored the last chia, banana, date muffin from the muffin man and these glowing strawberries!! 🍓🍓I did not edit this photo they are really that bright✨ happy Thursday everyone 🤙🏽 at Byron Farmers Market

Gritty garden fingers part 2✌🏽 I had to pay off my visa today after booking so hostels for Sydney and Melbourne WOOP WOOP🕺🏼 the wifi at the farm is a bit dodgy so I headed over to @thehideoutcoffee for free wifi and a treat🍓 I don’t particularly like paying off my visa but I’m so glad it lead me to this strawberry iced tea. SIDE NOTE: I love these metal straws, Vancouver is in a war against straws to reduce plastic and I think if we can all get our hands on a few of these shiny little miracles peace will be restored in the valley🙏🏻

Just a gal, some beans and her sporf (I cherish that thing)... oh and there’s some decent ocean views I guess. I’ve been a little off the map.... sorry homies but I just needed to find my feet this week and take everything in! I’m in Sydney with two pals and yesterday was a full day at bondi beach🌊 @carleychomiak and I did a surf lesson in the A.M I ate so much salt water but electrolytes are important right? then we joined @kasandra at the iceberg club for some pool and sauna time. To top it all off we walked the bondi to coogee coastal walk and ate dinner on a clif at sunset. GUYS IF YOU GO TO SYDNEY YOU NEED TO MARCH YOUR FEET OVER TO THIS TRAIL ITS INCREDIBLE. Anyways, hi again I’ll try to be more consistant on here but sometimes theres really cool oceans and opera houses in front of you that leave you too breath-taken to remember to post a pic of your oatmeal. Btw this was spinach, beans, steamed veggies, quinoa, brown rice and marinara! at Coogee To Bondi Coastwalk

YES DROOL AWAY🤤 @thecoupcalgary is hands down my favourite restaurant in Calgary and I got to go with 3 of my favourite people in the world❤️ @rachel_mcdonaldd gave me a sick hat to wear during dinner as she does and we had the yummiest meals from stirfrys to curries to burgers to hot pots! They served us an apple cider vinegar and turmeric shot before dinner for anti inflammatory and immune boosting benefits LOVE THAT💪🏽 as if that wasn’t enough we went to tutti frutti after and got some fro yo , the place was empty so we had every single couch to ourselves to lounge , successful gals night! 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

Woke up craving oats so this creation followed😋 🎃🍎🍌🍓this is pumpkin pie oatmeal topped with apples, cinnamon, coconut, pumpkin seeds and chia pudding! The oats are - oatmeal -purée pumpkin - pumpkin pie spice (I pre mixed 2tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of each nutmeg, cloves, ginger and allspice) then added to taste. - maple syrup to taste - extra water to cook the oats Microwave for one minute and there you have it!! For chia pudding the ratio is 3tbsp chia seeds per cup of liquid ( I used almond milk) I just eyeballed it for this because I did not need a full cup. Oatmeal is a perfect breakfast not only because it's a healthy carb with high glycemic index, which means it digests and releases its sugars over a longer period of time so it will not spike your blood sugar and keep you fuller for longer . But also because it is a high source of dietary fibre and believe it or not IRON! 100g of oatmeal covers 33% of your daily iron requirements. That probably excites me more than most people so I'll let you get on with your day one little bit wiser, happy thirsday🤗

My moms best friends were in town so what better way to welcome them then making pretty acai bowls for breakfast😛 they're soo delicious and fun to decorate 🍒🍇🍓🍉🥜 The smoothie is -3 frozen bananas -2 cups frozen blueberry, raspberry, blackberry mix -almond milk -2 tbsp chia seeds - 1 scoop vega vanilla protein powder (SERVES 4) Then get creative and chop some fruit and make it beautiful before devouring it, or you can skip the decorating straight to the munching💃 HAPPY HUMP DAY PEOPLE 🐪
