#Repost @knowgains ・・・ KNOW - “TONING” - In general, women overestimate how much body fat they are carrying and often fall into the trap of thinking losing weight is going to get them the “toned” look they are after. - This leads to the thinking that they need to severely restrict how much food they are eating and hop on the treadmill for endless hours of cardio. - This leads to some fat loss with equal, if not, greater amounts of muscle loss and a look that’s far from they outcome they were after. - If you are a woman who has been through a similar situation or who wants to join a gym with the hopes of changing their body shape, here’s how you get the “toned” body of your trying to achieve. - Go to the gym with the intent of trying to build muscle, focus on primarily compound lifts that target the body parts you’re trying to develop and lift weights that are actually challenging (meaning, you can’t do more than 15 or so reps with them). Não achei as danadas das forminhas, então vou ter que me virar aqui pra assar ele. - Hoje fiz grão de bico com verduras e ovo de micro. Quem leva aqui mais tempo sabe que esse prato nunca falará aqui em casa no inverno. É rápido e muito fácil de fazer. O ovo fiz no micro com um dedinho de água num pirex, coloca o ovo e fura a gema com a ponta da faca ou palito, 40” de micro e tá pronto. Day 16- Health ❤️ Oh the irony of this gratitude prompt this week! Just as I thought I’d all back in order I got a swift reminder last week to practice what I preach. My interest and move into wellness originates from my own health over the last 10 years. So I know first hand the difference nutrition, movement and relaxation all combined can make. Post Viral Fatigue (ME) was the first thing to floor me at 32yrs old and a heart arrythmia condition at 40. Happy 40th to me! It was these issues that prompted me to study for my Diploma in Culinary Medicine and now Yoga Teacher Training. Shared this with SheElite last night but there are so many of you women that need this👇🏼 . ✖️It is not your job to take up less physical space in this world—it is not your job to be the smallest version of yourself that you can be. (👈🏼Read that again & really get it in your brain!) . 💭 There are a lot of you that you need to step away from your fat loss and weight loss goals and focus on healing your relationship with food, your relationship with fitness, and your relationship with your self. Until you get those things in line, you will literally be spinning your wheels for the rest of your life. . Stop focusing on a number. Your clothing size or what you see on the scale do not define who you are as a person. Start focusing on the things that your body can, do the way your body can move, and focus on your HEALTH, both mental & physical. (And for the record, the definition of “health” is not visible abs and 10% body fat.) Make your mental health a top priority because if you can get your mind right, physical health follows. When you heal your relationship with food & step away from diet culture, weight loss and fat loss happens naturally & comes effortlessly—and it’s something that will stick for life. 💗

Hi hello good MORNING!!! 💫 Checking in with y’all before a day of traveling home to Colorado for Thanksgiving break - this week and last have been actually really not bad compare to the harder school weeks I was having before, but I’m ready for a break nonetheless (will miss tf out of my friends tho rip). 😞 Think I’m mostttt looking forward to watching the parade with my family on Thursday morning - it’s something we’ve done every year since I was little, and it’s always felt like the perfect way to kick off the holidays. 😊✨ BUT, you came here for breakfast, so here’s the deets ➡️➡️➡️ 2 eggs 🍳 scrambled with nutritional yeast, spinach 🌱, pink salt, cracked black pepper, and smoked paprika, 1 toasted slice of @udisglutenfree white sandwich bread topped with @traderjoes crunchy pb 🥜 & cacao nibs, a side of raspberries, and a pinch of hemp seeds sprinkled around. 🤤 Wishing safe (and undelayed 😉) travels to everyone making their way home this week! 💛✨🌟💫

Life has it's ups and downs... they're called squats 🏋️‍♀️ . But really, the world could use some good these days. Between the CA fires and a serious hate crime last week that put a good friend in the ICU, I'm at my threshold for heartache today. I'm trying my damndest to dig deep for positive vibes, to find more space. Maybe I just need get some things out first... through sweat and tears. Or maybe I just need to bear it. To let it pass and be grateful for what I have. So, move your body. Run, jump, lift, sweat and get that shit in for those that wish they could, but physically cannot. Eat like you give AF. Nourish your body with healthy food for those who don't have access. Stop taking yourself for granted. Stop selling yourself short. Pour some love and good into YOU and be what the world needs.
