Wouldnโ€™t it be amazing if an average weekly dinner felt like a PAR-TAY? Well, why shouldnโ€™t it?? The foods I prepared for this holiday party would make a fabulous dinner any night of the weekโ€ฆ.and the โ€œparty vibesโ€ would brighten up the kitchen table on a random week night. Choose an array of colorful veggies, a lean protein (like the grass-fed meatballs at the end of this table, near the vino!), some flax or seed crackers, and a few healthy fat-fueled dips and/or cheeses. Allow everyone to create their own healthy plate, just make sure that all 4 components are represented for nutrient density, blood sugar, and hormone balance. If you want to take it a step further, get a bento box and place a few bits of each component (veggies, fat, fiber, protein) into the box for your childโ€™s lunch the next day! Mmm. Got my lean on, got my cook on and got my face right into this! ๐ŸŽAny healthy diet, whether fat loss is the goal or not, should have plenty of fruits and vegetables in it. One thing thatโ€™s important to understand about fruit is that fruit and fruit juice are different things. Fruit juice has all (or almost all) of the fiber removed, so itโ€™s not going to fill you up as much as eating actual fruit. It is also way higher in calories. Both of these are important considerations when it comes to fat loss. - ๐Ÿ‰There is no food or drink that has to be totally off limits when the goal is fat loss. I personally like to look at fruit juice in much the same way I would a cookie. If It can be fit into the daily calories along with sufficient protein and lots of vegetables and fruits and itโ€™s what youโ€™d like to drink, then have at it. If itโ€™s taking the place of actual fruit, if it puts you over your daily calories, or if youโ€™re not feeling full enough because youโ€™re drinking your calories, then in that case itโ€™s not so useful. It really comes down to the overall context of your diet. I know this has been a very stressful week for many-studying & taking finals, and for me itโ€™s been studying for my State Boards of Cosmetology this week. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ“ During all of this studying, Iโ€™ve noticed how beneficial it has been for me to make sure to take a break and get a work out in! ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ Iโ€™m very fortunate to workout at one of the nicest gyms @pinamontiwellness that has some of the best equipment in the area (and offers AMAZING classes), and to @twinfitnesskc for taking all the stress away of me trying to figure out what to do when at the gym. My personal trainer @tanya.burk7 personalizes all my workouts according to my needs & goals and all I have to do is open TwinFitnessโ€™s app and all my workouts are displayed for that day and it even shows a video of how to perform that excise if Iโ€™m not 100% sure. Even during the most stressful times, we need to remember itโ€™s ok to take a break and find our outlet. For me, thatโ€™s working out. Every workout needs to be supplemented with food at least an hour beforehand. Generally our bodies need to be replenished every 2-3 hours, which means you need to eat prior to working out, especially to get any sort of benefit from the workout itself! The preworkout meal itself doesnโ€™t need to be large, but dense in carbs with a little bit of fat and protein. Keep the meal light so that food doesnโ€™t upset your stomach during physical activity. If you struggle with eating prior to working out then you should absolutely drink something to get the same amount of nutrients in for your workout! Something a bit different for my pwo food this morning - a @ufitdrinks 50 in chocolate and @vigorballs blueberry & lemon PB balls. . The UFIT's are on offer in Tesco atm for ยฃ2, my fav is the Vanilla but they didn't have any! Chocolate one is still lush though, really thick. I think the 50's are my favourite out of their range ๐Ÿ‘ . Love these fruity PB balls too - i thought the plain PB ones were my favourites, but now i cant decide! ๐Ÿ™ˆ . Really tasty, little chunks of nuts and a lovely fruity kick to these ones!! . Total macros for the meal were: . 566cals 64g P 35g C 18g F . RECIPE COMIN IN HOT ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ Spaghetti squash with Thai peanut sauce, zucchini, and blackened tofu ๐Ÿคค Spaghetti squash: Cut squash in half, scrape put seeds and gooey middle part (like a pumpkin), coat the inside with avocado oil/olive oil nicely, place open side face down and bake at 400 degrees for 40 min! Scrape out the middle with a fork after it cools down and youโ€™ve got noodles Zucchini: Chop however you want to eat it, I did half circles, and steam or sautรฉ for 5 minutes with salt and pepper ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ Sauce: - 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter - 1/2 cup water - 1/3 cup soy sauce - 1 inch grated ginger - 3 garlic cloves minced - 3 tbsp rice wine vinegar - 1 tbsp siracha or chili oil (add more for spice ๐ŸŒถ) Mix all ingredients in a pan on medium low temp and mix until a smooth consistency. Add dairy free milk for more creaminess. Tofu: Slice block into half inch slabs, and marinate in 1/2 cup of soy sauce and 1 tbsp coconut sugar for anywhere between 30 min to 5 hours (the more the better) and flip half way through to completely coat the tofu. Make blackened seasoning with 2 tbsp paprika and 1 tsp garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, and black pepper. Heat frying pan on medium heat with enough coconut oil to cover the bottom. Take your tofu slabs and cover with blackened seasoning on both sides. Fry on both sides for 4-5 minutes each. Cut into small pieces. Throw it all together and squeeze a lime on it๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿผ

The feels when you finish a workout that totally kicked your a** and can finally have that post workout shake ๐Ÿ˜… - - I can honestly say I look forward to my shake daily post workout! The taste is amazing not to mention smooth (vs. those chunks that didn't dissolve ๐Ÿ˜) I don't feel bloated or full afterwards, less sore the day after (and day after that) and I can actually feel myself being picked back up! - - I pair my Phormula 1 shake with Ignition to make sure my body gets just what it needs to replenish and recover after my workout session ๐Ÿ˜ this morning was vanilla milkshake!
