MDMedical Masterclass 💀♥️👏🏼 .
. Patients constantly ask me: What are the chances of hitting an artery❓ What are some of the complications with dermal fillers❓ . Well here is my answer: When you really know your anatomy, incidence of complications is low and the majority of adverse events are mild (edema, erythema, and local ecchymosis). However, more severe events, such as ischemia, necrosis and a vascular occlusion may occur. . As a licensed healthcare professional knowing how to prevent, treat, and identify abnormalities of arterial injections is crucial. Thus, it is very important that physicians are aware of the anatomy of the treated region, type of product used, application technique, and possible adverse events, so if an adverse event occurs, immediately recognize and treat it. . . . #anatomy #skull #behindthescenes #passionproject #patients #medicalaesthetics #aestheticstoronto #torontoaesthetics #university #medlife #uoft #workhard #work #pharmacology #arteries #dermalfillers #healthcareprofessional #welovescience

This first year of volunteering took me on a rollercoaster ride. Every month I would “prepare” myself by saying this will be easier. This month, you won’t bawl your eyes out afterwards. You got this! Every month I would cry, I would be be shut down for the rest of the weekend and into the next week. But you know, now that I am able to look back, those tremendous breakdowns were what I needed. My Mom sent Team Cork to me. I know it. Last month, I left feeling high. Instead of trying so hard to feel good afterwards, I told myself, “You’ll feel how you feel. You have to trust it’s for something bigger than you can see.” I don’t know if it was time and healing or my mindset that shifted it, but I do know I have changed significantly over this year and this work played a major role in my growth. It’s a reminder for me that you just never know what kind of gifts you will be given as you travel through tough times. I am currently moving through another tough moment in my life. Instead of being fearful, I feel full of hope. Everything is as it should be. #chilloutmodeactivated To cancer patients and their caregivers: our next @teamcorkinc wellness day is January 18th. Tag someone who could use extra support traveling their cancer journey. You can find all the resources you need at teamcork.org. Our services are free, they all offer relaxation (reiki, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, cranial sacral, etc.), and it’s local (Framingham). I look forward to helping you feel a little lighter and a little happier.❤️🍀
