Oggi postiamo il cambiamento di Claudio, amico prima ancora che cliente. Ammettiamo che la qualità, specialmente della prima foto, è abbastanza pessima, però il cambiamento è evidente. Alto 188 cm, nel giro di un anno è passato da 72 kg a 80 kg, seguito interamente ONLINE per cause lavorative. Allenamenti 5 volte a settimana, brevi, in multifrequenza. Focus sui multiarticolari e sull'aumento della forza in quegli esercizi che danno più transfer ipertrofico. TDEE elevato (circa 3500 kcal) e passione per altri sport di tipo misto (arti marziali e nuoto) hanno permesso di crescere piano ma pulito.

𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐀𝐋! 💪🚴‍♂️🏋️‍♂️ Stuart started training with Luke to compete in the Birmingham 100 mile velo. Stuart targeted himself 8 hours. With Luke's training and guidance through hypertrophy and strength phases building into plyometric and sports specific training he completed the whole event in 6 hours 37 minutes. Following from that despite losing weight through his Velo training Stuart wanted a leaner and stronger look over the summer period Luke built together a programme which enabled Stuart to do that. Stuart is stronger and fitter than ever and feels great. He will shortly be starting he strength phase again to compete in triathlons next year. Well done Stuart! Just done my first pregnancy personal training session. 💪🏼Gosh, aside from running (or mum shuffling), I haven’t used any light weights for ages and this morning felt so good. I really want to feel fit and strong for this third pregnancy, and more so than ever, I’m trying not to feel guilty about taking time out to exercise and actually look after myself. Monday’s are always a chance to begin your fitness journey afresh. You’ll maybe be looking for answers in magazines, online , with Insta influencers, so forth and so on. Lots of messaging is confusing, plus it’s negative . A main message being “don’t do this, don’t do that” its the classic negative dressed as a positive and it’s designed to make maximum impact on readers and watchers. An example would be “5 exercises you should not be doing “ or “your all wankers for eating this food or doing these workouts , I’m the only one who knows listen to me “ you get the picture . However . Why focus on what you cannot do? . I would argue that thinking what you can do is far more positive. “What can I do?” or “what can you do?. Because. Thinking what you cannot do. Keeps you stuck the same , and you won’t be moving forward. So first off think in terms of where you’d like to be with your fitness and health. This changes your thinking and subsequently your actions. So what can you do 1. You can start to eat right 2. You can commit to cutting down alcohol 3. You can commit to sleeping more 4. You can commit to doing 4 classes a week instead of 3 , or 5 instead of 4 5. You can commit to doing cardio at least twice a week. 6. You can commit to doing resistance training at least twice a week. The list can frankly go on and on. But the point is there . Don’t go for the negative dressed as a positive. How many times have you seen press ups done the way shown in the first video? Elbows flared to contribute to shoulder impingement. Not getting full range of motion, not allowing full stretch of chest or triceps. Focus on full range of motion with press ups, with elbows driving backwards during the movement. As well as having your chest puffed in front of body.

When you eat protein, every 100 calories is really only 70-80 calories, because 20-30% of the calories in the protein are burned during digestion and absorption. Protein is quite dense, and is harder for your body to break down than fat or carbs. . But when you eat fat, 100 calories is really 97-100 calories. Fat doesn’t require much work to digest and absorb. Fat is fattening. . And 100 calories of carbs is really 90-95 calories. Which is in between protein and fat. (100 calories of alcohol is really only 70-90 calories, but we won’t mention that because most of us don’t need another reason to drink more. 🤪) What all this means is that protein calories are less fattening than carb calories, which are in turn less fattening than fat calories. . Gerade am grauen Montag muss man sich das vielleicht ein Mal mehr vor Augen halten 😴😅, also habt einen guten Start in die Woche und macht, was euch weiter bringt, auch wenn es anfangs schwer fällt...irgendwann ist man immer stärker als sein Schweinehund 💪😅 Für mich geht es später ab zum Beintraining - früher gehasst, heute macht's Spaß, es klappt also definitv wirklich, man muss nur weiter machen 👌

INSPIRATIONAL CLIENT INTERVIEW... I interviewed a client of mine last week Louise Hawes who has radically upgraded her lifestyle, health, body and image. This woman has gone from being a couch potato to training 4 days a week with us, entering 21km half marathons and running faster than any of us at @sandownsweat I asked Louise; "What is your Biggest Why for training with us?" "I started training to loose weight and be healthier. But mostly to loose weight as my eyes finally opened to the state I was in". BUT Why? ; "Because I wanted to feel better about myself and not hide my body under the big clothes I started wearing. I wanted to feel better physically and emotionally." BUT Why?; "I had become a couch potato and felt like life was passing me by. I had no energy for my children and I was always grumpy. I couldn’t do anything with them anymore." BUT Why?: "I wanted to become a better and more energetic mom and wife. Not one who sits and moans all day because I’m unhappy with the way I feel and look." BUT Why?; "I want my children to know that with hard work, the right mindset and consistency we can achieve anything. We can do anything if we apply ourselves and if we are willing to do the hard work. Even if I wanted to give up I can’t because they are watching and learning from this journey that I’m on." We ended the interview by celebrating her success which has been a steady 2 year process, BUT she is not done yet. We now are working towards a fast run at the GUNRUN 21km next month and losing the last bit of bodyfat she wants to shed.. Keep an eye out for this power woman, she ain't done yet 💪🏃‍♀️👏
