In these tasty, fluffy circular cakes of goodness (most ingredients not measured)—> Oats ground in blender (1 Cup), Bread Flour (1 Cup), baking powder, flaxseed meal, fine ground coconut, chia seeds, cinnamon, vanilla, blackstrap molasses, raw agave nectar, walnuts, unsweetened vanilla coconut milk, unsweetened applesauce, and medjool dates. Topped with chopped almonds & walnuts and a berry “syrup” made of blueberries, strawberries, coconut milk, applesauce, and agave! Such a super delicious combination! Omg this SOUP!! It turned out exactly exactly exactly like I wanted it to! It was creamy and earthy and sweet. Nourishing and satisfying! 🙌💗🙌 the soup was instant pot: red kuri squash and broccoli from @tomaterofarm , red lentils and (after cooking, some leftover honey nut squash). Binge eating recovery is a lot about (re)building your life. Without binge eating, who are you? What do you think about, obsess about, get happy and sad about? What do you do with your time? How do you feel? In order to remove binge eating, you have to replace it with something new. The thing is, it can’t be only productive things or things you “should” be doing. It has to be things that feel delicious, satisfying and comforting the same way food does. It has to meet the same needs. So think relaxing, indulgent and fun. Lately I have been into face products and facial massage. Also meditation, Netflix and bubble baths. Other things I do with my time are work on my business, walk my dog while listening to meditations or podcasts or watching YouTube/Online Courses. Figure out who you are and what you do instead of binge eating. And then fill your life with those things instead of food. Think about filling up the space with nourishing activities instead of focusing on what you’re trying to remove or not do. Flood your life with activities that make you feel good and you won’t need binge eating anymore. You’ll have new ways to fill your thoughts, time and life. Tonight was a lime chip kinda night. 🤘When I make these, my kids immediately flock to my side. They ❤️ these chips even over any bagged overly processed store bought chips. Reviewing client lab work for the year shows me patterns in health and nutritional deficiencies; this year I have not had a single client that had efficient Omega-3 levels. Click the link in my bio to learn about the many roles of omega-3 in the body including anti-aging, supporting brain health and fetal development. 🌿Since October is shining awareness on breast cancer let’s look at the impact of Omega-3’s on breast cancer risk; which is the leading type of cancer and the main cause of death among women. 🌿A 2019 study called “Protective Effects of Omega-3 Fatty Acids in Cancer-Related Complications” shows that low concentrations of omega-3 PUFAs in the mammary region contribute to breast cancer multifocality, indicating that omega-3 PUFA supplementation is important for cancer management and prevention. Another 2017 study tells us that newly diagnosed breast cancer patients that supplement with EPA and DHA led to a significant change in the composition of plasma fatty acids, maintained the level of CD4+ T cells and serum levels of hsCRP. This suggests that supplementing with EPA and DHA are suggested to have a beneficial impact on  the immune system and produce a less active inflammatory response. 🌿Not all DHA/EPA supplements are created equal. Many will use Vitamin E as a preservative however Vitamin E is not strong enough to keep the oils from turning rancid. You want to make sure that the supplement has astaxanthin - a potent antioxidant. One of my clients used this oil paired with a whole food plant-based diet and within 2 weeks had lower blood pressure, lower LDL (“bad cholesterol”) and higher HDL (“good cholesterol”), conditions she had been meditacted for for over 15 years. 🌿Tag someone that uses fish or other omega oils.

One cup of cooked provides: . ✔️22 grams of carb, making it a nutrient rich energy source and a good choice for pre-performance fuel. . ✔️7 grams of fiber, nearly 30% of the daily minimum target. In addition to supporting digestive health and bowel regularity, butternut squash fiber boosts fullness, and helps control blood sugar and insulin regulation for steady, even energy. . ✔️Over 450% of the daily goal for vitamin A. This nutrient has been linked to retaining lung strength and slowing age-related cognitive decline. It’s also vital for skin and eye health and supports immunity. Vitamin A helps to form the mucous membranes in your respiratory tract. Stronger membranes form better protective barriers, to keep germs out of your bloodstream. . ✔️Over 50% of the daily minimum for vitamin C. Apart from supporting immunity, this nutrient is needed for DNA repair, collagen and serotonin production (the latter promotes happiness and sleep). Vitamin C also helps significantly boost the absorption of iron from plant foods. . ✔️Nearly 20% of the daily goal for potassium and manganese. WHY CAN’T I LOSE WEIGHT 😩 . This was always on my mind. . What was wrong with me? . Someone had told me it was my genetics so I had to work a lot harder to lose fat than the average person. . So focused on eating less and burning as many calories I can by doing more circuits and what I thought was HIIT. . BUT it’s not always about doing more cardio, more circuits, more HIIT, more exercise 🙅🏻‍♀️ . Nor is it about cutting out all the foods you genuinely enjoy. . It’s about finding a balance between eating your favourite foods(pizza, tacos, burgers, sushi) and eating whole minimally unprocessed foods. . Time to get your weekend bake on with these easy peasy chocolate muffins. ⠀ ⠀ YOU NEED⠀ ⠀ 80g vegan dark chocolate⠀ 80g vegan butter (Nuttlex)⠀ 50g white sugar⠀ 90g plain white flour⠀ 2 tsp baking powder⠀ pinch of salt⠀ 1 tsp apple cider vinegar⠀ ⠀ TO MAKE⠀ ⠀ Preheat the oven to 180ºC.⠀ Prepare 4 paper cases in a large muffin tin.⠀ Add the chocolate and butter to a saucepan and slowly melt over a low heat.⠀ Sift the flour into a bowl and add the sugar, baking powder and salt.⠀ Add the melted chocolate mixture along with 3 tbsps water and the vinegar.⠀ Mix thoroughly.⠀ Pour mixture evenly into the prepared tins.⠀ Bake for 15 - 18 mins, or until the tops look cooked.⠀ Cool on wire rack before removing from cases.⠀ Serve dusted with cacao and a scoop of ice cream or yogurt.⠀ ⠀ YOU’RE WELCOME 😇

3 ingredient infant cookies . 2 cups oats 1 ripe banana 2-3 T coconut oil, melted . Blend oats in a food processor to make a flour. Then drop a piece of banana at a time while blending. Do the same with coconut oil. Form into cookies 1/4 inch thick and bake at 350 for 10 mins. Did you know that you can roast pretty much any seed?! Yup! My girls love acorn squash 💛, butternut squash🧡, and of course pumpkin 🎃 . This was from last night when I did butternut. Helps with food waste too! Upcycle! I simply rinse them, let them dry, sprinkle with @redmondrealsalt and garlic powder and cook until browned at 350 in the oven. So yummy! And tonight we carved our pumpkin so we cooked those seeds. Watched @gamechangersmovie 2x today. I couldn't wait for the release. If you are curious about a plant based diet, already plant based and questioning if you're on the right path or if you're like me, recently plant based to reverse autoimmune diseases, seeing results and getting flack from well meaning idiots, this movie proves you are on the right path. #SupportLocalHKshops series Yes I’ll still be posting my travels in UK but my home, #HongKong, still takes priority. @mum_veggie_cafe is one of my best loved eateries way back from its roots in Wong Chuk Hang. Now based in @eaton.hk , it dishes out #homestyle #Japanese #vegetarian meals (and most are actually #vegan) to comfort weary souls. It’s on the pricier side of the spectrum for food court meals, but the quality and presentation is well worth the price. Even some Japanese come here to eat so that really says something!
