Happy Flex Friday #fitfam 💪🏽 . . Today’s workout was “PWR at home” week 6 chest and tricep workout. My workout buddy was taking a nap so I was able to complete my routine in 35 mins #nodistractions . 5 month postpartum and I have finally started feeling comfortable and confident lifting heavy and doing high intensity workouts. I feel amazing inside and out with incredible energy to spare. Fitness and living a healthy lifestyle have poured over into every area of my life. Think of nursing/bottle feeding as a sport. ⚽️ As with any sport, your goal is to be efficient in your movements to minimize injury (in this case, ideal sitting ergonomics), and to have a successful outcome (winning = being able to complete an entire feed with no discomfort to you). 🏆 Because you'll be spending hours every day feeding your baby, why not set up a feeding station with the right amount of back support and arm support? 🎯 Eliminate common nursing aches and pains such as shoulder/neck soreness, carpal tunnel syndrome, and lower back pain. Remember this tip: "Bring baby to breast". 🙌

I didn’t want to workout today. Friday’s are so hard for me. A full week in of getting up early everyday and ending it with working 3 shifts and coming home with crabby hot tired kids (I felt the same way, those buses get HOT). I just wanted to go to bed. My husband came home after working in the sun all day as well and seeing him still get his pre workout in and doin the dang thing motivated me to do it too. I even felt so good I took my dog for a nice stroll afterwards and made my workout even longer. Crazy how the days you don’t want to do it end up being the really good ones. C-sections are hard. Proud to finally get here. After 12000 m row and 2.5 miles prior, I had a strong controlled 11.1 mph in most all outs and bumped it to 11.2 . Pre-baby 12 mph sprints were usual, but oh how things change after your abs get cut apart. #csection recovery has not been an easy road and I’m finally getting my stride back. Are Meal deliveries any good? Sometimes life just is so full on, or you are feeling so overwhelmed with motherhood, work, house etc. that you just want to eliminate something that requires more of your time. For me personally in the first 6 weeks after having my baby, we got meal deliveries. Now not all meal delivery services are particularly healthy. The things to look for when choosing a meal delivery service when you have a fat loss goal are as follows: - Choose fresh if you can, rather than frozen. - Choose meals that are between 350 and 550 calories per portion if possible. Do not opt for meals that are under 300 calories, this is way too extreme for someone who is recovering from birth and possibly breastfeeding too. - Weekly deliveries to keep the food fresh. - The ingredients need to consist of plenty of lean meats and veggies. The meal delivery service we chose to use was YouFoodz. They ticked all these boxes for us and all the meals we had were delicious. We made sure we chose meals that fit in our calorie range and had lots of quality ingredients in them. We tended to stay away from the pastas and pastry options and didn’t chose any of the snack options. Meal deliveries can be an absolute god send when you’re in the thick of the newborn, all consuming phase. So don’t hesitate to use them, your mental health is worth it and they can be just as healthy and delicious!

FOXY FRIDAY MOM MOVES 🤸🏻‍♀️ It’s been awhile since I’ve posted my workouts... so here ya’all go! This is a full body workout that can be done anywhere! All you need is stairs and 30-45 min. 📍Run stairs (this depends on what you’re working with. I did 3 laps) 📍Incline push-up- 12 Reps (more advanced peeps can turn this into a decline push-up by putting your feet on the stairs and hands on the floor) 📍Tricep Dips- 12 Reps 📍Running Step Toe Taps- 40 total 📍Lateral Single Leg Squat- 15 Reps 📍Elevated Lunges- 15 Reps 📍Double Stair Jumps- 12 Reps 📍Elevated Squat to Knee Raise- 20 Reps Aim for 3 rounds of the above... There is no glow here, just lots of sweat. For my postpartum mamas out there, I have to say that doing this cardio workout all out is NOT for the pelvic floor challenged. I had some pretty significant trauma to my pelvic floor during the birth of one of my children and I have to follow some of the modifications because this is crazy high impact. Listen to your body. Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes this week - I am feeling much better...just still so sore and moving slowly. My stomach is so swollen but each day, I feel better. • BUT ➡️ I am celebrating a non scale victory today! 🎉👏🏼 • Found this cute little jump suit at the MCX (military wives - y’all better not sleep on the MCX...they have some cute things!) and so badly wanted to try it on. I finally did in my normal size only to have to put it back...and get a smaller size! 😍👏🏼🙌🏼 This little beauty is taking a road trip to Florida with me next month!

Guess who started putting on lbs again?? (It’s me.) 😩 That’s right, your fitness queen, mommy to the stars and all around rockstar starting packing on weight....but how? . I got comfortable, thought “I’ve done it, I’m good” but no I wasn’t “good” as in permanently granted the wish of what I worked for.🧞‍♂️I started falling victim to a couple familiar lies like: 🚩“I’m just too tired” (true, but also a weak excuse) 🚩“Oh yum, I haven’t had this in forever!” (Nostalgic eating) 🚩“I’m eating intuitively” (No I wasn’t) 🚩“I think X counted as a workout” (No it didn’t) . I’m human and occasionally need a little a humbling moment to remember that anything you want, anything worthwhile will take work. And so here I am, starting again. Fitness Update: I still get SO SHOOK when I see my comparison photos 😭. When I started my fitness journey 2 years ago I weighed 98 lbs. Those of you who have been following me for a while know this already but for my newer followers A LOT happened the past 2 years. I got motivated to start weight training, gained a lot of good weight and muscle, then decided to have another baby, gained a lot of bad weight, and for the past year I’ve been losing fat and gaining muscle. I’m soooo in love with the gym it’s not even funny sometimes. It’s the one thing in my life that is JUST FOR ME. As a mama of 3 it keeps me sane haha. Fitting food in: I struggle to hit macros and eating enough food. Like it’s hard with as much as I work out and 2+ hour workouts daily the food for me is the hardest part. Diet and constantly eating is exhausting. I feel so full since I’m doing mainly Whole Foods for all my macros. I can’t have egg whites due to reacting to it so a basic staple of my normal diet is now taken out. So here I am eating ounce after ounce of chicken, beef, lean pork. I had the beef meal twice today and chicken now. I’ll have a protein shake tonight. I never though I’d be so tired of eating but here I am.

I didn’t say it would be easy, but I’m telling you it’s worth it. . Six months ago I was struggling with consistency, motivation and energy. With two kids, crazy work life, little sleep and ZERO energy, I was pretty much a walking zombie. I put more energy into my excuses than I did into finding a solution. Those days were hard. . Ok guys… so I did a thing… I committed to 100 days! 100 workouts (the most I’ve ever done continuously!) 100 days of following a simple nutrition plan. 100 days of making time for me each morning.
