Back home! Had a really long day yesterday, and didn’t eat that well, but back at it today. I saw that today the #tiudailymoves are all upper body, so I was able to do them, and very happy about that. Felt good to do something that didn’t make my foot ache like crazy. 😜 #preworkoutmeal was pumpkin muffins and a #babybel cheese. #postworkout is another babybel cheese (I love cheese...) and some of my dried apricots leftover from our trip. Omgg so I don’t eat pasta often but when I do I go all out 🤩 - Free styled this broccoli & spinach pasta recipe myself & it surprisingly turned out really nice despite looking a bit like slop!! (as you can see my pasta:sauce ratio is a bit off) - Recipe: boil wholewheat linguine & peas whilst steaming 2/3 head broccoli, 1 sliced chilli, 2 tomatoes (I probs would have used more but that’s all we had in) & 2 large handfuls of spinach. Once tender remove tomato skins & blend all of the steamed veg with garlic, basil, lemon juice, salt, pepper & mixed herbs with some of the pasta water and unsweetened almond milk until creamy (I retained some of the broccoli to add loose for more texture). Next drain the pasta & peas and add in the sauce to reheat through. Enjoy 🥦🌱💗

❗️MOBILITY AND STRETCHING❗️ . Sooo many people forget about warming up, stretching, and doing mobility exercises before and after they workout ❌ . If you skip this, you’ll feel more sore and tight the next day. You’ll also have a higher risk of injuring yourself and pulling a muscle because you didn’t properly warm up your muscles . I do about 10 minutes of mobility, warming up, and stretching before my workouts. I’ll do about 20 minutes on a glute our leg day because those muscles take more time to activate and warm-up ✅ . Foam rolling is REALLY essential for muscle recovery and getting your blood flowing throughout your body before your workout 🤯 . I highly recommend doing this before every lower body day or back day if you don’t have time to do it everyday.
