A breakthrough is a phenomena where we begin to notice the walls that are blocking our path towards what we desire and we decide to realize that those walls are total BS and break through them to live the life we were truly meant to live. It’s a beautiful experience, and it all starts with going within ourselves and figuring out what we want and what is holding us back currently. Relief 🌲

I was in the kitchen making herbal tea in the morning, when a thought occurred to me. I do this every morning, yet every morning it makes me feel good. The gentle hiss of boiling water, the fragrance of herbs and the way it slowly changes colour gives me peace. Why would a mundane task like this be of any significance? It feels like an art. Each little detail of everyday life is an art, and if we can just slow down and notice it, it will inspire us. Recently I have been reading a book titled 'Ikigai'. I discovered from the book, that focusing on the details of our present task with keen attention without worrying about the future is the secret to lead a fulfilling life. Inspiration is in each little thing we do every day. When I wake up in the morning and practice Yoga, I live the moment. When I paint pictures on paper, I live in the moment. When I put my feelings and realizations into words, I live in the moment. When I eat a healthy meal, I live in the moment. When I read, I live in the moment. And these moments inspire me. Locate a sound inside the space you are in, draw your attention inwards and take a deep breath. Locate a sound outside your space. Take a deep breath. Focus on the sounds your breath makes, check in. Viva Quito! Mi hermosa cuidad! ♥️♥️ . Have you thought about where you were 20 years ago❓ . 20 years ago I was still living in Quito, having the best years of my life! . I had been with the same classmates pretty much my entire life, since kinder garden. We were no longer classmates but family! . I was ripped from my roots when I moved to NYC in 2001. For so long I felt I didn't belong here, dwelled on the past and thought of the possible future of moving back. . What I didn't realized was that by doing that, I was missing my life in the present moment. It was not until after 10 years of living in the US that I realize that I have not been living in the present moment. Yoga helped me realize this. And is not until more recently that I have been finally feeling rooted once again and feeling a sense of belonging not to where I am but to who I am. . I have a ritual that at the end of the year I like to reflect back on the year. But this time is the end of a decade and the first 20 years of the 2000s ‼️ . So it made me think a little deeper. What has happened not only last year, but in the last 10 years and even the last 20 years. . It was a great realization for me to reflect back on the last 20 years to realize how much has happened and how I have grown. I invite you to take some time to reflect back to the past decade and maybe even the last 20 years. . if you would like to be guided I will be hosting a reflective workshop at @mylivingyoga on December 29th .
