One of my favorite things to do is find different workouts from athletes or on YouTube and other social media platforms and try them out to change up my routine. I ended up finding a channel called Celtic Warrior Workouts on youtube and loved the warmup @wwesheamus did with @sashabankswwe. So I decided instead of just doing the 5 rounds, to turn it into a 20 minute AMRAP(as many rounds as possible) and make that my cardio for today. Trail running is one of those things that I truly enjoy. I love pushing the limits mentally and physically out in nature and stepping outside of my comfort zone. It’s taken practice to get comfortable with being uncomfortable but it has allowed me to visit some incredible places. My advice is to challenge yourself once in awhile and start doing the things you’re not familiar with. Embrace the fear and doubt because it’s here where growth really happens. . And now that the nicer weather has arrived, I’m pretty stoked about the start of a new trail running season🤙⛰. . Hey look it’s me posting a video after 3 months who would have guessed! I have been working on a challenge to exercise for 40 days in a row so I have been trying all types of things I usually don’t like cycling course and group fitness course. I normally like to workout on my own or bring maybe one friend but now I look forward to booking a class in advance that I know someone else will be attending so we can both keep each other in check. Anyways I decided to start incorporating some cardio into my own workouts because it really does make me feel the best after I’ve completed a workout! For the first exercise I did three sets of 8 but I worked my way up from 1, 2, and finally 3 jumps in between. Exercise 2 I did side shuffles and jumps for 30 seconds mainly focusing on staying low but as you will see I come up a little higher than I want when I get tired. 3 sets. Exercise 3 I was focused on doing a little more crossover work. The weight was 12lbs so nothing crazy and I did 30 seconds as well. Exercise 4 I kinda just threw together and it was very hard to keep low and well as keep my arms as straight as I could while holding the weight. I Live for the Burn 🔥 .. I had an elliptical workout I was really dreading tonight and had no idea how I was going to push myself. I had my kids home all day and was exhausted by the time dinner was done. But I also knew how badly I needed a release and so I got on my exercise clothes and dragged my feet to the @neve.yerushalayim gym. I really wanted to run and I don't like the elliptical at all but my coach told me to play it safe and give my foot one more day of rest 🔥 .. I know the 33 minute Fartlek was going to be tough on the elliptical because there I was on my own, no way of really measuring my progress...without anyone to motivate me but myself. And I was tired and just wanted to let my feet slowly move up and down, without having to exert myself 🔥 .. But I have big goals ahead and I know the only way I'm ever gonna get there is with hard work and lots of burn. Cuz when you feel that burn you know things are happening... You're changing... It's painful because you're stretching and growing. It's easy to 'cheat' on a workout .. At the end of the day it's just you and your body and no one will know how hard you pushed. But the only one you hurt is yourself. And if you have a dream, if you want to improve (in whatever area of life)...you're gonna have to get used to the burn🔥 .. It wasn't easy pushing myself on the elliptical, going all out and really working hard. It didn't feel comfortable and there were plenty of moments I wanted to quit. But then I'd close my eyes, and picture my dreams and remind myself that no one else can do the work for me and this is just about me and how hard I can push myself in this moment🔥 .. I have nothing to show from my hour and 40 minutes on the elliptical... No cool Strava numbers or amazing mileage. But tonight reminded me that it's not about the external validation we get, the kudos, likes or medals... It's about our own work, the sweat and tears, and the progress we experience each day when we push ourselves just a little bit further, out of our comfort zone and into the burn 🔥 #workhard #burn #chasingdreams #pushyourself 🏋️‍♀️ .. 📷Ilan Asyag @haaretz

The Ohio Backyard Ultra is this weekend and I haven't ran but fucking twice in 3 weeks and currently still have to strained calves, plantar fasciitis and a minor shin splint. Rather than set around having a pity party(like I want), I've been fucking destroying my muscles with very high rep workouts! Only hit 950 Reps in about 45min with Shoulders and Arms tonight, but when I hit that painful/ burning wall, I kicked it the fuck down. Fuck rest and fuck excuses. Purim is here! Purim is a Jewish holiday when Jews celebrate Ester's personal victory over the evil Haman who wanted her dead. We do this by putting on costumes (just like Halloween) and drinking like crazy. We also make a lot of noise if someone mentions Haman.. The thing about Purim is we plan our costume for a while before it gets here, so it becomes a gateway to creativity. It's basically the holiday of creativity if you ask me. After all not every day you get to hear or see someone who dressed up as a monkey that wants to be a mushroom. It's that creativity that allows us to get out of the box when needed to think differently in order to reach our goals. That same creativity allows us to renew and surprise ourselves. This holiday was born so that we can fool around and let the celebration and happiness get into our hearts- so that the rest of the time our minds will stay sharp and on target. It's that arranged creativity that will get our asses out of trouble and push us toward the next step of ourselves. No Bake Chocolate Protein Balls ✨ I love making these, there are so many different variations and they make the perfect snack! I whipped these up super quick - in about 15 minutes before I ran out to go to class so they aren’t very pretty but I swear, they’re delicious! 😅 - 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/4 cup honey, 1 tsp vanilla extract, + 1/2 cup natural almond butter. -Mix altogether in a bowl, then add scoop of protein and toppings of choice. Mix again. (I did shredded coconut and chocolate chunks.) -Roll into little balls & store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
