Kawal setiap proses hukum terkait perdagangan satwa dilindungi. Yuk, sama-sama berantas korupsi untuk menjaga kelestarian Harimau Sumatera! #savetheplanet #savetigers #saveanimals #savetheanimals #racingextinction

5 ways that we are destroying the ocean: 🐟OVERFISHING. Approximately 2.7 trillion animals are extracted from the ocean annually. Currently 3/4 of the world’s fisheries are exploited or completely depleted. 🐋KILLING of WHALES, SHARKS, and other LARGE PREDATORS, 90% of which are now GONE. The entire ecosystem collapses with the loss of the species at the top of the food chain. 💨OCEAN ACIDIFICATION. The ocean absorbs excess C02 from the atmosphere where it turns into carbonic acid. Along with temperature rises, this is leading to loss of plankton (already 40% gone) and coral reef bleaching (already 50% gone). Phytoplankton provide up to 80% of the oxygen in the atmosphere and coral reefs are home to up to 30% of ocean wildlife. 🥤PLASTIC POLLUTION. The single largest contributor to the plastic problem in the ocean is the fishing industry. Fishing nets comprise 40% of the plastic in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. ⛽️OFFSHORE DRILLING. VIVERO ESCAMECA: 47 ENDANGERED SPECIES GREEN SEA TURTLE HATCHINGS RELEASED! 🐢 The first of the 6 green sea turtle nests that are currently in Vivero Escameca hatched this afternoon and the babies were immediately released. 🐢 These little ones are really fast and it’s difficult to video them so you’re only getting a few second here. Watch how it looks like they manage to float even out of the water. 🐢 We love being able to rescue nests of this species from the illegal food trade because the greens are very endangered and facing extinction. Not only are each of these babies fast and beautiful, they are extremely important. The survival of the species and the natural balance of the ocean is at stake. 🐢 With your continued support we are out in the sand saving lives on a daily basis. Thank you for trusting us with your donations. If you can lend us some support please visit our website. Posted @withrepost@dr.evanantin I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again-the key to SUSTAINABLE wildlife conservation is getting the local communities significantly involved with their conservation. When the people that live amongst these wild animals & habitats can have their lives benefitted by the protection of their wildlife/habitats, take pride in the wildlife/habitat conservation, and be truly involved with conservation efforts-then we can have hope for long lasting conservation efforts. Without locals being a part of conservation and having the motivation to protect wildlife it’s only a matter of time before endangered animals become extinct. Donations and help from westerners and foreigners is a massive help but can only go so far and last so long. African Elephants are endangered in some counties and in fact heavily overpopulated in others but do play a critical role in the ecosystems they’re native to. That being said, many Kenyans and other Africans are scared of elephants and find them to be a nuisance because of legit conflicts that occur when human civilization is situated near wildlife. I completely understand their fears as wild elephants can cause major problems and even kill people. However, my goal today is to share both sides of the story and the best way I can do that right now is to reach out to local primary school children and share with them just how fascinating, intelligent, emotional, social, and important elephants are. Most of the children here have never seen an elephant up close and today that changed. Some of them got to feed this big bull elephant named “Bupa” too. Giving a child the opportunity to see wildlife up close and connect with them is so special for them and also crucial for conservation (and also melts my ❤️, ☺️). It’s my hope that today these primary school students have a new appreciation of the elephants they share this land with. Children are the future of conservation, especially locals like these kiddos. I also want to thank @oljogi for giving me this opportunity with their rescued elephants and connecting me with these little Kenyans. #wildlife #conservation #africa #kenya #elephant #howdoireachthesek

5 ways that we are destroying our ocean: 🐟OVERFISHING. There are now thousands of offshore drilling sites and we all see the outcomes when one of those fails. @5unilagarwal

@Regran_ed from @sanctuaryasia - We have launched our 'Save the Great Indian Bustard' campaign, and we require YOUR support more than anything else. Our strength lies in our numbers. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the Great Indian Bustard. With fewer than 150 individuals remaining in the world, distributed across the fragmented grasslands of Rajasthan and Gujarat, the Great Indian #Bustard (GIB) is dangerously tethered to the edge of #extinction. Among the anthropogenic pressures, the overhead power transmission lines pose the biggest threat to the #species and we need your support to urge India's Ministry of Power to lay the transmission lines running across the GIB habitats underground. Do add your voice to the campaign. Sign the petition today!  Link in bio. #RacingExtinction #SaveTheGreatIndianBustard #GreatIndianShame - #regrann at India

(1/2): The Nedbank Desert Dash has begun and the CCF team is well on their way to the finish line. Before the more than 1,000 riders began the race this afternoon, the team took a moment to record a message and say hello! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (3): The first change over happened at 5:30 pm in the the #NedbankDesertDash. Andy Brückner was out on his own, our endurance rider the "Wild Dog". ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (4): CCF's second rider in the race is Ecki, who is personifies the "Stealthy Leopard". It’s not so hot now, but there's some wind resistance making the ride a bit tough. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Keep it up team! 🐱🚴‍♂️ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #CCF #cheetahconservationfund #cheetah #ccfcheetah #bigcat #desertdash #bikerace #namibiandesert #nedbank #endextinction #racingextinction #endangered #endangeredspecies #wildlife #wildlifeconservation #savethecheetah #raceforlife #humansforcheetahs #dogssavingcats #namibia #africa
