Back to the #camperlife means back to a good routine! Orrrr at least getting there. 🤣 I do my best when im in a good routine each day. When we first moved into the trailer my routine got really out of whack...and both my body and my business show it. I have goals and dreams, and when I’m not in routine...nothing gets done and my goals get further away. Im drawing my line and getting back to a consistent routine of self care, proper nutrition and exercise, and finding 1-2 hours every single day to sit down and help other people change their own lives. It is a human trait to shy away from difficult situations. Whether it is a change in routine or lifestyle, a conversation needed to be had, the paperwork that always waits or starting an exercise program. Change is difficult so it is easier to stay doing the same things and keep getting the same results. But an amazing thing happens when you you take that first step. Your confidence builds as you work towards your goals. The next day is even more magical as you continue on your way. You start to have pride in what you are aiming towards. Don't think it will all be smooth sailing. There will be times when you could choose the easier road but find yourself back where you started. New parents seeking help with their first baby who's now 4 months old. So baby is not taking any naps in his cot during the day and currently goes to bed late (around 9pm) and wakes once hes down in bed and for the first few hours. So after receiving a typical routine for this little one and gaining enough information about his day and night in the last 48 hours, I can now make a start on a new plan and routine for both parents to follow along with techniques to use for helping their baby settle. This is a "no cry" solution and is a gentle sleep method only. I will also recommend sleep aids and tips on various ways to help their baby to get a more restful sleep and to start taking longer day naps in his cot. This is the start of our journey as we work together to help 2 very tired parents gain some control of their day and get some well deserved rest! Wist je dat 1 op de 5 Nederlanders slaapproblemen heeft? 1 op de 5, dat is 20% oftewel bijna 3,5 miljoen mensen. Die problemen variëren natuurlijk enorm, maar een hoop mensen hiervan slapen slecht en worden daardoor in de ochtend moe en energieloos wakker 😒 . Ik was ooit zelf een van die mensen. Ik sliep slecht. Dat betekent overigens niet dat ik veel wakker lag, nee, ik sliep als een blok 😴 Een heel zwaar blok dat 's nachts in haar dromen hele marathons rende om 's ochtends wakker te worden met het gevoel alsof ze dat ook echt gedaan had. Dat was ik. Maar, nu niet meer ☝🏼 . Het belangrijkste inzicht dat ik in 2018 verkregen heb over slapen is dat mindset (zoals altijd eigenlijk) al het verschil maakt. Maar tijdens het slapen denk je niet na toch? Klopt, maar we hebben wel invloed op hoe we 's ochtends wakker worden. En dat heeft te maken met de mindset waarmee je 's avonds je bed in duikt 🧠 . We zijn als Nederlanders zo gefocust op tijd, dat we (vaak onbewust) naar bed gaan met "Het is zo en zo laat, dus ik heb nog zo veel uur om te slapen.. Hm, dat is niet zo veel." Dan word je 's ochtends ook moe wakker, ja. Helaas zijn we zo gevormd door de tijd-gefocuste maatschappij waar we in leven 👀 . Voor je me nu afschiet met allerlei wetenschappelijke onderzoeken over het minimale uur slaap dat we nodig hebben als mens, ga ik je nu alvast vertellen dat er ZO VEEL onderzoek gedaan is dat we kunnen concluderen dat het te veel verschilt per persoon. Maar er zijn geen onderzoeken gedaan naar de invloed van mindset op de slaapkwaliteit 🙅🏽‍♀️ . We kunnen als mens ALLES waarmaken, zolang we er maar oprecht in geloven. Ook de hoeveelheid slaap die we nodig hebben dus. Ik probeer gemiddeld wel rond de zeven uur uit te komen, maar functioneer net zo goed op 4 uur slaap, als op 8 uur. Sterker nog, hoe langer ik slaap (boven de 7 uur) hoe minder energiek ik opsta 's ochtends 🙇🏽‍♀️ . Laten we eens proberen om minder op de tijd te gaan letten. Ik kijk niet eens meer op de klok voor ik naar bed ga - kan ik ook niet weten "hoe veel uur ik nog heb". Het enige wat ik denk voor ik mijn ogen sluit is: "Ik sta morgen om X uur op en dan voel ik me uitgeslapen en energiek." En over at Manhattan, New York

Have you ever thought about this? I know I’ve struggled with setting up a morning routine and always blamed the fact that I’m not a morning person but that’s actually not always the case. In order to have a great morning routine, you also need a night routine. If you plan to wake up at 5am everyone morning, plan to sleep earlier. There’s motivators out there that tell you to hustle, work 100 hour weeks till you make it. There is some truth to it but I also feel like balance is important. So if your routine is getting 3 hours of sleep and it works for you, keep at it. There’s always more than one path. Here’s some steps that I’ve taken and seen success with: 1. Establish a night routine e.g sleep time, what you do before you sleep, what you eat. 2. Based on the above, you can figure how many hours to sleep, habits you want to build in the morning e.g. drinking tea, eating breakfast, journaling, meditating. 3. Don’t try to be a hero 🦸‍♂️. Try it once a week then twice and so forth. *Important ask yourself why you need a morning routine as well. Having these core values as to why will make it much easier* at Canada

Start in a plank position on your hands. Step forward with both feet and drop into a deep squat. Bring your hands to the sky squeeze the shoulder blades back and down. And Repeat. ____ Sounds simple enough to do but if you’re lacking mobility in the ankles, hips or shoulders it might be a tough one to complete. If you can’t do it today no worries. Save it for later while you work on your mobility then try again when you think you’re ready. ___ Many moves on social media are like that. Douchebag gym selfie. Lol needed a new picture to show progress. This picture makes me feel and look skinny. Got up earlier to get a little workout in. I only did abs and walked today, just trying to get back into the routine. I plan to work out at least 3 times a week. I also have drank 28oz of water already! 💧 Just a little background about me. In high school I was a year round athlete. I played soccer, basketball and softball. In college I played division II women’s lacrosse. After I graduated college I played slow pitch softball, but since moving I have not got the chance to get back at it. I am really looking forward to getting back on track and back in shape. ❤️ - With moving to a different state, and the only people you know are the ones you’ve met while being here. Daycare/babysitting is always an issue. Have you ever...been vaguely aware that your habits around ________ aren’t great, but you don’t fully realize how bad it really is? 🙋🏼‍♀️ My “hydration” used to be coffee for my morning classes, MAYBE tea for the afternoon (or nothing), and wine for dinner. That was it. I kid you not! I have since been making changes though. Now I drink: . .coffee (sometimes) or Energize for a little kick in the morning . .Shakeology (for breakfast) . .water - 60+ oz/day (Still not enough! But better than none!) . .The working out part of being healthy comes easier to me. Not perfect, not every day, but that’s where I feel confident. Nutrition...not so much. But I’m learning, and I know for sure that I feel better about this set of liquids than I did about the ☕️ —> 🍷 habit I had 😳

Routine. What comes to mind when you hear that word? Boring? Mundane? Probably not Exciting, am I right? But for me, it means being back on track with workouts and nutrition 🥗. {m o r n i n g v i b e s} . I am not a morning person. I struggle with every aspect of getting up before my kids come crawling into my bed. I know there’s things I could do to make getting up earlier easier on myself but when it comes to implementing those self imposed rules I tend to rebel. . I am a night owl. I love the moon more than the sun. I feel alive and energized, motivated and I’m most productive late at night and into the wee hours of the morning. . I struggle with feeling like I ‘should’ be a morning person and embracing my true night owl self. I recently read a post by @farmhouse_schoolhouse about mornings and her struggles and I really related to her words. While I’m naturally a night owl, I love the ‘me’ time I get and the time with my husband, I also really like the feeling of accomplishment at 8am. Rather than try to be a morning person overnight, I’m going to recognize and honor the night owl in me while also acknowledging that I have the power to make our mornings incredible by the small sacrifice of getting up a little earlier each day. Intentional is my word of the year and what better way to embody that that starting each day intentionally getting out of bed!
