YES PLEASE! PUCKER UP! Just popped a new DIY on the blog! You can read the full thing on my website, link in my bio! I got the recipe from the amazing @lowtoxlife and good ol Pinterest! I am going a little DIY crazy.. and have had to put my foot on the brakes because my kitchen is becoming a DIY kitchen rather than somewhere to cook.. whoops! Iโ€™m quite slack with wearing lip balm or anything beauty wise that I have to think about throughout the day. AND after researching what is actually in a lot of the lipsticks/lipbalms that we put on our lips I have been a little bit against using them, especially because a lot of it ends up in out mouth haha DIY LIP BALM INGREDIENTS: * 2 TBSP beeswax pastilles or grated beeswax * 2 TBSP Cocoa Butter * 2 TBSP Coconut Oil * 5 Drops of Peppermint EO (doterra) (natural lip plumper!) METHOD Melt the first three ingredients in a double boiler, or I used a small saucepan and a heatproof measuring jug. Once melted, remove from the heat and add the essential oil. Then simply pop the liquid in your chosen containers and pop in the fridge to set! Easy as that! Mine made HEAPS. You can add other EO if you wish, but just read up about them beforehand. Cinnamon might be nice! Enjoy! Jess x

Morning Glory. . How much i feel how little i know- and how much i do is the actual bridge in between the sensation and the reality. I melt into my mourning, coffee, wine, tea and lovely friendsโ€™ talks. And today 7am it was a new exciting day, i wanted to sleep more but the urge of delivering something out of me took me out of bed.. . What makes us loose time and the right needed allocation of time are just a perception. Is the world going crazy for morning routines? ___ It seems like @incmagazine, @entrepreneur, or @huffpost are constantly sending out articles on this billionaire or millionaire's morning routine. ___ A lot of this is justified. Morning routines prime the day and get you ready to create powerfully. But what about evening routines? What do guys like @jeffbezos do to shut off at the end of the day and get 8+ hours of sleep. ___ Priming for sleep may be just as important as priming the day. One constant area of focus with my clients and myself is "how do you shut down at the end of the day?" ____ There's a lot to be written about sleep environment, but how do you entrain your body that it's time to sleep? ___ Some of the things I use are GTD (thank you David Allen)to get the monkey mind stored elsewhere, lavender (to chill out), and Kava tea (for relaxation). ___ Recently, I'm experimenting with stacking @heartmathinstitute breathing, rolling, blocking blue light (@ra_optics), and accupressure. In order to find what motivates you you really have to think, make a list and find your WHY(S) to have a clear picture on what motivates you everyday and how to channel that motivation. . . Most people think those that are naturally motivated have some sort of supernatural powers that gets them out a BED roaring ready to go get in there workout but they don't realize that is not the case. . . How do you find the time to have a morning practice? I know that sometimes you feel you need 25 hours in a day. Long commutes, young children, demands of work, you name it, there are so many demands and pressures in today's society. How do you make the time to fit in a daily practice? Here are some tips I advise clients; 1. Go to bed 30 minutes earlier. 2. Set your practice up the night before. eg I have my headphones and phone charged and handy for my morning meditation. 3. Start by doing a morning ritual 3 times a week instead of 7. 4. Alternate morning rituals. eg one morning journal, another exercise, another meditate. 5. Could you stop scrolling through social media in the morning and do a morning ritual instead? 6. Tweek your priorities.... making your morning practice the first priority of your day. 7. When you donโ€™t have spoons to take care of your skin (aka me, most days) you want a low maintenance, high results routine. One tip - advice I never follow, admittedly ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ Shower at night. Youโ€™ll be more likely to do a skincare routine of some type (even if thatโ€™s just lotion- but hey, itโ€™s something) than if youโ€™re rushing to work or to get somewhere else. Items pictured that I use: ๐Ÿง–๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธDลTERRAs new hydrating body mist. Spray this on your whole body after the shower and then put a robe on. Youโ€™ll feel like your skin is velvet. No exaggeration. ๐ŸงดFor Acne prone skin (or for me, skin that breaks out around my period and weather changes): combine a small about of dลTERRA HD clear moisturizer, one drop blue tansy oil (powerhouse skin oil for irritation, blemishes, wrinkles) and one pump SheaMoisture Amal oil (anti-aging... super cheap at Ulta!) if you donโ€™t have issues with breakouts, use your regular moisturizer or dลTERRAโ€™s Verage Immortelle Hydrating Serum. And youโ€™re done! I feel like I did so much good for my skin in under 3 minutes. ๐Ÿ‘ What other low maintenance routines would you recommend to your fellow spoonies? I have been seeing a trend from you guys about asking what my wake up routine is โ˜€๏ธโฐ. So I decided to put a post up which you can find on the link in my bio or at https://ashleyfozio.wixsite.com/redhotnation/blog/inside-my-morning-routine . โ€” But here is the quick & sweet version โ˜บ๏ธ . โ€” Whether I work at 0700, 1500, or Iโ€™m off that day my routine is generally the same. My alarm goes off at 0445 from across the room...I know seems early but my โ€œme timeโ€ is sacred! I can gather my thoughts and organize my day to be a better nurse, friend, girlfriend, daughter, and biz owner. . โ€” We can skip over the usual morning hygiene and cat mom duties, I think you all get that ๐Ÿ™ƒ. First, I make preworkout snack, go-go juice, and talk to you all! Iโ€™m sure youโ€™ve seen it. Doing this gets me more awake, keeps me accountable, and ready for the day! . โ€” While snacking & waiting for my juice to kick in, I read my daily devotional & 1 chapter of my personal development! โค๏ธ . โ€” Then itโ€™s time to workout & sweat!! Whether itโ€™s a run day or 30 min of lifting from my living room this gives me endorphins, clears my mind, and gives me the positivity & confidence I need throughout the rest of my day! After thatโ€™s done I check in quick with my accountability group and see all the other beautiful people who have crushed their workouts! . โ€” Then itโ€™s directly to the shower, make my super nurse shake to go if needed, grab my daily coffee, & off to the bus I go! . โ€” On my bus ride & walk to the hospital I usually will note on my phone my thoughts & intentions for the day and then listen to a bit of a Podcast whether personal development, nursing, or business related. This way Iโ€™m walking into work motivated & ready for anything! at Rochester, Minnesota
