Did you spot him ? An evening stroll while I found this bull hiding himself at the forest translation line of Tukuriajhar and waiting for perfect camouflage timing to enter nearby paddyfield. Those bulls which are residents in a fragmented landscape are always prefer on human produced nutricious foods for their physical growth to attend for perfect stability and mate. For identification we called him 'Langra Haati'. #elephants #elephantwarrior #elephantconservation #solitarybull #identification #bull #tusker #conservation #conservationphotography #protection #threats #education #awareness #sanctuaryasia @sanctuaryasia #wildscreenorg @wildscreenorg #naturein_focus @naturein_focus #ilcp_photographers @ilcp_photographers #elephantfamily @elephantfamily @elephantfriendlytea #wildlifetrustofindia @wildlifetrustofindia #rightofpassage #greencorridorchampion #natgeoyourshot #natgeochannel #natgeoindia #natgeowild #natgeo @natgeo @natgeowild @natgeoindia @natgeochannel @natgeoyourshot @cwsindia @conservationorg @currentconservation @worldpressphoto @thephotosociety @the_explorers_club @thehabitatstrust @rgsustain @trunk.legacy #mitigation @himalayangeographic

Over thousands of years, we have gradually established ourselves as the dominant species on the planet, thanks to our intelligence. We have achieved so much, pushed so many boundaries. Once we were at the mercy of nature but we evolved, started using the available resources in our favor. First we took advantage of the available resources for our need, but we didn't stop there. We started transforming nature, disrupting natural processes to satisfy our ever increasing needs. We started 'ruling' nature and exploiting its resources for our benefits. . This sense of apparent victory has led us to believe that we are superior species and we are above nature. All nature's resources exist for our benefit and we have the right to use them or destroy them as we please. . Let's forget about the nature's contribution to everything else. Even if we consider only the economic perspective, how many of our occupations depend on nature and its wellbeing? Fishery, forestry, agriculture, animal husbandry, tourism to name a few industries directly depend on nature and indirectly, pretty much every other industry . If we were really superior to nature, a collapse in any of these resources wouldn't be disastrous to millions of human lives. Unfortunately, human history has proved this notion wrong over and over again. At the end, we always learn that nature is the true ruler and we are at its mercy. . . #sea #seashore #boat #natgeo #natgeowild #natureinfocus #bbcearth #naturesbestphotomagazine #sanctuaryasia #discovery #planetearth #naturephotography #nature #naturelover #lonelyplanet #nikonindiaofficial #tripadvisor #tripotocommunity #yourshotphotographer #natgeoyourshot #natureconservation #savetheplanet #conservation #beyondbystander #respectnature #discoveryindia #incredibleindia #indiatourism #pondicherry @ncf.india @nature_org @conservationorg @naturein_focus @cntravellerindia @sanctuaryasia @bbcearth @the_nature_conservancy @natgeotravellerindia @sonybbcearth @natures

Working towards getting a better shot is what keeps your skills and passion in photography from getting stagnant. One may even have to bypass the conventional approaches in this pursuit. This picture of the Oriental Dwarf kingfisher was shot on my Canon 7D mk ii, with Sigma 150-600 sports at 600 mm, F13, 1/50s, ISO 1250. #canon7dmarkii #sigma150600 #orientaldwarfkingfisher #odkf #birdsofindia #birdsofinstagram #birds #capturedoncanon #birds_of_instagram #sanctuaryasia #birdcaptures #indianbirdsphotography #indianbirds #bird_captures

Posted @withrepost@ajith.arjunan The story of Kismat and cubs. . . It all started when a safari vehicle in front of us informed us that they just sighted the backwater female crossing the safari tracks within the tourism zone of Nagarhole National Park which was very close to the main road and all the safari vehicles followed her and then lined up on the main road, expecting the tigress to cross, it was raining heavily at this point, making it difficult to get clear images , later we followed her into deeper woods and watched her walk fearlessly on the safari tracks within the forest and walked all the way upto the place where her cubs were waiting within the woods, she then summoned her kids by growling and signalling her presence , we witnessed the cubs greet her one after the other and experienced the emotional connection between the mother and cubs, I was very lucky as all this unfolded in front of me and I am truly blessed to have witnessed such a moment..she then rallied her kids to a different part of the jungle to teach them hunt, we missed a sequence where they ambushed a Sambar deer and the mother tried to hunt down the deer, teaching the cubs the much needed survival skills...thrilled to have witnessed all this and after almost 1hr with this bold female and her cubs we had to leave her and her family behind as it was time for us to return as the allowed safari time came to an end... The entire sequence was happening when it was raining and under poor light, I have made some decent images(with lots of noise), I know I may not get such a sighting in my life again but will wait and wish to see such moments and probably with good light next time 😊 . . . One of my 1st memorables moment was when I met Ritchie, the king of the Orangutans of the area in Borneo, it was 15 years ago...I got his eye contact under the rainy forest...it blew my heart away, so strong, so so human...it's very important to stop destroying his habitat, soon his forests will have disappeared, such a tragedy, not sure I'll go back there, don't want to see the mess out there, I could already see it when I flew to get there, #orangutang #orangoutang #greatape #monkeys #wildlife #wildlifephotos #wildlifeofinstagram #wildlife_shots #wildlifephotography #nature #closeupmagic #closeup #instawild #borneo #borneo #stopdeforestation #savetheforest #humaneyes #magical #savetheplanet #endangered #sanctuaryasia #asianwildlife
