Squat recap: I seriously could not download my 1st attempt so here are my 2nd & 3rd attempts. Being red lighted twice really killed me physically and mentally. I seriously thought I had my squats in the bag b/c when I walked out each weight it was light on my back. And going into the meet I just wanted all 3 of my squats and be conservative bc lmao I suck ass at squats especially with my bar tilt 😣. But these judges called me out for depth... Depth is never an issue for me b/c ya know Asians literally squat ass to grass. Eh so idk what happened here with the judges so yea I only got my opener 😭😤. And my opener had a red light on my left side 😑... - I have to hand it to grampa @vdiaz_projectstrength for always helping me with squats and yelling the 2 words "CONFIDENCE" & "EXECUTE." - This off season I am for sure going to be getting stronger and better to come back for more. Look 👀 at bae checking me out in the mirror 🤣. Top triple at 375 tonight. The R quad seems to be handling loading pretty well now. I only noticed it for a couple of reps when warming up. Next week I think I’ll work up to a decently heavy single, so I’ll have better numbers to plug into my 5/3/1 template. I really would like to be a little more patient, but with only being able to get another 2.5 training cycles, I need to push if I want a shot at qualifying as a 93kg. I’m going to need around a 485’ish # squat The new bar position is going to take some getting use to. It’s kind of weird having a more angled torso. It feels like I need to be more patient before becoming upright when coming out of the hole. Also, having an a7 bar grip shirt on is money!

Came out of the gym with an ez flipping pz rep PR after a misgrooved top single at 405 @RPE 6.5/7. Spent some time with my boy @cam.use.your.good.hand working on extension during the deadlift. He doesn't think he can achieve extension on a conventional deadlift, but I have faith that his conventional is gonna be beautiful in no time. I definitely saw some things starting to click into place as sumo and conventional form slowly become separated. Conventional gawd on the way right here!!! at Physical Impact

The feels when you go on vacation and gain 10 lbs in less than a week (currently at 148)😅 this is the heaviest I’ve been in a while but it’s okay because I fully enjoyed myself during my time off and that’s what’s most important. Training cycle begins again. #squats we’re 390lbs x 5 for 3 sets. Except that I did my workout at like 7am which is way too early for me. So I did the first two sets only 3 reps. First meet complete! ✔️✔️ Bummed that I missed my 3rd attempts on bench and deads but oh well. Walked away with 1st in the 52kg weight class and best overall lifter with a 381.82 wilks total.
