Then they feel a wave of fear. 😬They want to know what will happen to their weight. And I honestly can’t tell you. That’s up to your body. . . The funny thing is dieting can’t tell you what’s going to happen to your weight either. 🤷‍♀️ Think about it. Did any of those promises for weight loss come true and stay true? . . In fact, the biggest predictor of weight gain is dieting behaviors. We’ve got the studies to back you up. You didn’t fail at diets, my friend. The diets failed you. . . So, if we can be real for a moment, let’s call the scale what it is: a distraction. . . The fear, guilt, and shame the scale brings you requires attention. The idea your weight is wrong is distressing. And you have to use time and energy to resolve that daily distress. . . Every day, the scale takes a little more of your light. Arm day with this lovely girly the other day. She’s absolutely smashing it! Ooh man have I been QUEEN of building walls!! I thought they would protect me from getting hurt. - We build these walls thinking they will protect us from really being seen yet the thing we desire most is to be fully loved and to know we are enough - I thought that if I built these walls I could let people in just enough to see the “ good” parts but not enough that I could be judged🤦‍♀️...yet what I truly wanted was meaningful friendship, to be loved through the good, bad and ugly but I never gave anyone the chance. - When you figure out who you are and truly love yourself you can drop those walls knowing no one’s opinion of you matters but your own. When you know who you are being vulnerable and letting someone in feels freeing because you aren’t attached to what they think of you because YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! - These walls are what block you from everything you truly desire in life...idk why but we are so good at pushing away the one thing we want...like why are you talking bad about that popular girl at work??? Hello cuz what you really want is to be friends with her or hell you may even just want to be her. Pay attention to what you push away and you will recognize the walls you have build. When you start tearing those down and opening up beautiful things start happening...yes the things you so deeply desired yet weren’t sure how to get because all you were concerned about was “ protecting” yourself. - As my little girl would say ( thank you #frozen ) LET IT GO!!

2020 Soulful Sunday Retreat I am very excited to announce the details of our Soulful Sunday Retreat taking place at the stunning High Tide Yoga and Movement centre in Ocean Grove. We've had a beautiful response to our Retreat so far and there are limited spots available. I am beginning the afternoon and will take you through a deeply relaxing Soul Guidance and Sacred Mentoring session. This is a unique modality that uses a combination of oracle cards, healing meditations and guided processes. It will then be followed by Courtney Baker, a Naturopath who will deliver an information session on the Australian bush flower essences in which she will guide you through developing your own Australian bush flower essence remedy. This remedy will help you address any underlying emotions that are impacting upon your health whilst simultaneously bringing forth positive emotions, such as confidence or vitality, so that the health benefits of this retreat may be felt for several weeks to come. The retreat finishes with Charlotte Fraser, a qualified and experienced yoga teacher and educator, who has a research-based Masters which focused on mindfulness. Charlotte will guide participants through a gentle heart-opening yoga practice and sound bath giving your body the opportunity to release, restore balance and rejuvenate.
