Week is starting out great. Last night squats felt great and form and focus is back. Squats were 205 3x3, 215 2x2 (video) and 1x1 220. Followed by progressive RDL 135, 145, 155 and 165 for 7. Of course we had accessories, cardio and sauna. Training: Bench Day - 3x3 Pin Press @ 85%, 5x5 Wide Grip Pin Press @ 50%, followed up with accessories. For the first time I actually trained using 35lbs on both sides of the bar. This was a HUGE mental step for me on bench! @rhinostrengthperformance Cut to 198lb Class Progress: I’m steadily learning what goes into my food (macro-wise) and how planning our my day is key to being able to have the foods I want, in moderation. I still beat myself up a lot, especially as weigh-in loom and I know I haven’t seen any weight changes. I’ve struggled with my relationship with food since high school and I’m sick of having this love/hate feeling. I want Emma to grow up not hating food or her body and I know it starts with how I view myself. My goal for this upcoming week is to plan out my days better and be more prepared for the times I don’t have a set schedule. This is where I catch myself going off base. The aim there is to match or possibly better Bodypowers total but at a much lighter and less hideous bodyweight. Squats: 3sets, 3reps-(76%) 266kg/586lbs. Easy enough weight, just felt abit rusty and detrained after 2 weeks off. Stiff-leg beltless deadlifts: 3sets, 8reps- 190kg/419lbs. Plank: 3mins total. Hypertrophy: Bulgarian split squats- 3sets, 10reps. Single-leg glute bridges- 3sets, 10reps. Quad extensions- 3sets, 12reps. Seated leg curls- 3sets, 12reps. Had me a day. 7/9. Squat: 474 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ 501 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ 524 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ (12 lb meet PR) Bench: 281 ⚪️⚪️🔴 (4 lb meet PR ) 287: 🔴⚪️🔴 287: ⚪️⚪️⚪️ (11 lb meet PR) Deadlift: 513 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ 540: ⚪️⚪️⚪️ (5 lb meet PR) 573: 🔴🔴🔴 Total: 1351 (40 lb meet PR) Squats were on a ROLL. Don’t know what was going on with my elbow but it’s coo’ Bench was rough. My butt was coming up in warmups so I was in my head a lot. Played it conservative for the PR. Deadlifts were feeling good. But I’m fat and have no stamina so i was gassed by my 3rd. Overall I’m happy. Ive been consistently building my total and I’m pleased with the amount of progress. I still have a lot to learn and a long way to go. Thank you to @ct_whitney for the programming and leading me to a successful day. Many more gains to be made and couldn’t have done it without ya! And thank you to my handler and now national qualified pretty lady @livilifts. You made sure I was fed, and that’s the most important aspect of my life. I love you. Can I really post another squat video? 4 x 10 100kg [again!] .. The weights not gone up, nor the rep range, no interesting pauses, no chains or bands. Just good honest repetition, consistency and grind ... Many people want the results, want it quickly, but you've got to be willing to put the work in (and it takes years) it won't happen in 12 weeks. If it doesn't become a way of life for you, if you're not willing to do this week in week out, your body won't change. .. It's hard work I didn't want to do this today ... This was fun. Doing a little competition today my legs are dead, they died half way though the sled push. I miss paced myself on deadlift and had a small hick up with the tire bouncing around after the first flip. I didn't win but I had fun. I've finally caught up with my old PB at 82.5kg/182lbsx1, slowly steering clear of bodyweight (which is somewhere around 73kg at the moment), and while it was a bit of a battle and I lost upper back stability on the way up, it felt okay and I was in control the whole time. My trap is a bit angry with me, but not as raging as it was after my deadlift 1RM test last week. Will stretch it out and hopefully it'll be fine. Lots of quad, abs and middle/lower trap work, and it will be 2 reps next month! The plan now is to just rehab this lower back injury by completely deloading squats and deadlifts over the next fortnight Bor as long as I need to. My main priority now is to just be the best I can for world's in August if that means taking a huge step back then that's what will be done. 1 vital mistake recently with training....and that’s doing cardio and laying off weight training abit. Just 2 weeks of this to then squat 100kg (which is usually warm up easy weight) felt like it was 120kg! Felt like ****, didn’t do any back of, and only did a minimum of accessory work... Well these moved extremely well. Feeling stiff from Wednesday’s shenanigans, but I’m extremely happy with this. It’s been a goal of mine ever since I put single leg work into my routine. ⁣ ⁣ 225lbs⁣ 4x3⁣ —⁣ If you do not perform unilateral leg work on a consistent basis: be it a regular split squat, a variation of the Bulgarian Split squat, etc...⁣ ⁣ You’re missing out on more potential.⁣ ⁣ Trying to squat on an unstable surface is not going to create more stability for you. Bar was offcenter on my back so @baxtermc and @labeanno123 helped me correct that. Swift lil Pr on bench- 265x8. Would’ve had it for 9. The reaper didn’t get me this time, my foot slipped... I know, more excuses. Volume work before the set of 8 was 4x5x275-265 @ 6-7 Workout fueled by @bonefishgrill ... When to use a belt? — Simple answer, if you’re a beginner or new to training, learn how to brace properly prior to using a belt. — For intermediate and advanced athletes, really just use it whenever you feel like you need to as it does improve performance. — Some situations like max effort sets (>90%, RPE 9/10), max reps or competitions definitely warrants the use of a belt. — The majority of warm up sets or deload training can probably be done without a belt. — Aside from these cases, there really isn’t a “range” or some arbitrary standard where a belt should be used as this is completely based on context of a program and the specific athlete. — . . . . #brosmd #skwaat #liftingbelt

AWPC EUROPEAN CHAMPION 2019🥇 SQUAT 265KG BENCH 180KG EUROPEAN RECORD DEADLIFT 290.5KG EUROPEAN RECORD TOTAL 735.5KG So my first international experience was an absolute blast, thoroughly enjoyed myself seen some amazing lifting especially the women's categories watching some of their deadlifting was extremely entertaining. This was my first international meet, unfortunately I did go into this meet injured and unsure of how squats and deadlifts were going to pan out for me until I got in the warm up room. BUT I was also the only person in my category so this gave me a lot of breathing room and took the pressure off a bit so I didn't have to risk further injury for world's in Orlando mid August where I will really be tested. So squats, warmed up to 250KG and something in my back went pop was quite painful so took a minute to sit down and decided to leave warm ups at that and @big404uk who did an awesome job of handling me on the day went out and dropped my opener to 250kg. I got on the platform planning to do 1 squat and then leave it there squatted 250kg it actually felt OK so went 265kg on my second but then again felt a niggle so left squats at that. Bench , opened with 170kg which was a European record, then went 180kg on my 2ND attempt which moved very fast but my ass came up so got 2 red lights. For my 3RD attempt I felt like more than 180kg was there but decided to repeat the weight just to secure a decent number got 3 whites and pushed record a little further. Deadlifts, again expecting to do 1 lift and leave it there as warm ups were not amazing, however got to the platform opened with 260KG and was very comfortable so went 275KG on 2ND attempt and was relatively pain free. So on my 3RD knowing the European record was 290KG I decided to chip it as my back was feeling good and went 290.5KG for a new record.
