This is actually called Shakshuka, a traditional Middle Eastern recipe that combines simple, nourishing ingredients like tomatoes, onions, garlic, and spices in an egg base. I’ve tried every type of diet and spent a lot of time over the years trying to figure out the perfect way to eat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What I didn’t realize that this was also a form of control — one that had previously taken its hold over me in the form of anorexia in my pre-teen years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Food has had many roles in my life: enemy, best friend, apathetic acquaintance... but what I really needed from food was a collaborative relationship. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I have since dropped any labels of how I eat. I eat to fuel my body and feel good — and I also take note of what doesn’t make my body feel good and slowly decrease my intake of it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The way I look at it is this: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My body is the vehicle that the universe gave me so I can bring the most abundance into the world. If I don’t take care of my body, I can’t be my best for myself or for anyone else. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I eat so I can be better and I am better because of how I eat. Ομελέτα με πιπεριές και ανθότυρο Υλικά: 2 αυγά 4-5 κουταλιές της σούπας γάλα (ή νερό) Μισή κόκκινη πιπεριά κέρατο ψιλοκομμένη 2 κουταλιές της σούπας ανθότυρο Αλάτι Ελαιόλαδο Πιπέρι Ρίγανη Εκτέλεση: Σε ένα βαθύ πιάτο χτυπάμε τα αυγά. Ρίχνουμε λίγο γάλα, αλάτι, πιπέρι, ρίγανη και ανακατεύουμε καλά. Βάζουμε την πιπεριά και το ανθότυρο τριμματισμένο και ανακατεύουμε. Σε ένα αντικολλητικό τηγάνι βάζουμε λίγο ελαιόλαδο και το βάζουμε στην κουζίνα σε μέτρια φωτιά μέχρι να ζεσταθεί. Όταν ζεσταθεί ρίχνουμε και ψήνουμε την ομελέτα, σε χαμηλή φωτιά. Καλή όρεξη! I love bread. I especially love @morrisons pumpernickel loaf, which is dense, slightly sweet and nutty in flavour and a lovely deep brown colour. It tastes great coated with a light layer of butter and honey but equally incredible topped with cottage cheese, walnuts and fresh figs, as seen in the photo. Would also pair nicely with a stronger cheese and sliced meats. Maybe topped with a gherkin? Basically, it’s good shit – so go buy it.

When it comes to chips and guac, which would you choose? 1, 2, 3 or 4? 💚🥑 • Here’s the recipe for this delicious guacamole, and I’ve included my best tip, so save this for next time you’re whipping up a bowl of guac: 🥑 3 avocados (with slight give) 🥑 2-3 tablespoons fresh lime juice 🥑 1/4 cup finely diced red onion 🥑 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro 🥑 fresh chopped jalapeño to taste (optional) 🥑 salt to taste First, chop the onion. Place it in a bowl with the lime juice and set aside for at least 5 minutes. The acid from the citrus will soften the bite of the onion, which makes this guacamole exceptionally balanced. 💚 Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl and mash together. I like to keep mine slightly chunky, and I like it limey but you do you. If you don’t like it limey, reduce the lime by one tablespoon. 😎 • Side note: this is a #throwback photo. #hyacinthbean or Avarekalu murukku - a seasonal delicacy from Karnataka; During winter season when local markets are flooded with avarekai, this is a perfect match with a cup of coffee or tea on winter evenings. Learnt this fuss free recipe from a friend on Facebook group, do you want to try this before avarekai season ends especially in this part of the world, check the recipe below Avarekalu or Hyacinth bean - 1 cup Rice flour - 2 cups Red chilli powder - 2 tsp Cumin or jeera (slightly roasted) - 1 tsp Refined oil (hot) - 4 tbsp Salt as per taste Refined oil for frying Water as required 1. Pressure cook the avarekalu until soft, cool them. Grind this into fine paste. Keep the paste aside. 2. Take a big bowl, add avarekalu paste, mix in the rice flour, red chilli powder, cumin, salt as per taste. Mix everything and then pour hot oil on top of flour mixture. 3. Mix well with the tip of fingers to get crumb like flour. Now add little water at a time and prepare dough. 4. Rest the dough for 5 minutes. This dough can be pressed directly in hot oil or prepare chakli on a parchment paper and then drop these slowly into hot oil. 5. Heat oil in a wok or deep kadai on high flame, check the hotness of oil by dropping a small pinch of dough into the oil, if this rises slowly from bottom to top, this indicates that the oil is ready for frying. 6. Now take a oil greased murukku presser, grease the mould with star plate. Next stuff the dough inside and press the murukku directly into the hot oil. 🌊 Mermaid/Sea Bowl🌊 _Swipe to see my attempt at food asmr lmao_ 🌹 i n g r e d i e n t s : - blue spirulina powder or blueberry powder. (I used @nutraorganics mermaid latte mix) - plain yoghurt - raw honey - nut/berry mix of your choice. Granola works too s t e p s : 1. Scoop out 2-3 tablespoons of honey onto bowl. (Adjust amount according to how sweet you like your yoghurt) 2. Scoop out 7-9 tablespoons of yoghurt and place on top honey. 3. Place 2 teaspoons of spirulina/blueberry powder on top. 4. Stir. (If you want a more "swirly ombre" style, be careful not to over stir) 5. Pour nut/berry/granola/whatever over. 6. Enjoy! Note: add some fruits to make your bowl even tastier 👅

Kids love variety, and one way to take a break from boring chapathis is with this healthy and yummy Missi Paratha! . INGREDIENTS 1 cup wheat flour 2 tbsp gram flour 1 tsp carom seeds ½ tsp cumin seeds ½ cup boiled moong daal 1 onion 1-inch piece ginger Salt ½ tsp coriander powder ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp chopped coriander 1 tsp garam masala . METHOD 1.Grind onion and ginger together. You can also add a green chilly if you want to. 2.Add all the ingredients in a bowl and knead a dough as for a chapati. Homemade Peanut Butter 🥜 . Après plusieurs essais, j’ai finalement décidé de faire dans la mesure du possible toutes mes purées d’oléagineux maisons... 👍🏻Car après réflexion, tout le monde peut le faire, il suffit juste de torréfier ou non les noix (ça dépend si vous voulez un goût plus doux ou plutôt corsé) puis de les mixer jusqu’à l’obtention d’une purée ! C’est un peu plus long forcément que d’acheter un pot de beurre de cacahuète ou un pot de purée d’amande déjà tout fait en supermarché mais franchement ça vaut le coût, et au sens propre du terme car c’est plus économique 💶 je trouve et on peut surtout faire la quantité qu’on veut ⚖️, quand on veut ⏰! Donc je vous ai posté par exemple le beurre de cacahuète 🥜que j’ai fais la semaine dernière et il suffit juste d’un peu de patience lors du mixage pour ensuite avoir un très bon résultat ! Et là au moins vous êtes sûr que votre beurre de cacahuète contiendra uniquement des cacahuètes, sans huile de palme ❗️ni sucre ⚠️ et autres produits chimiques... 😌 . Praliné maison 🍁 . Une bonne petite recette bien gourmande pour ce mardi après midi, parfait pour se faire plaisir après une grosse journée de travail 😴! Beaucoup de gens peuvent penser que c’est dur de faire son praliné, or, c’est complètement faux, si vous avez un bon hachoir ou même un blender ainsi qu’une casserole (mais ça normalement c’est bon 😅), c’est un jeu d’enfant à réaliser... La recette est simple, facile, rapide et gourmande évidemment 😋! Vous pouvez en mettre dans pleins de préparations sucrées, des desserts mais aussi sur des crêpes, des pancakes, etc... Peanut & chocolate cookies 🍁👌🏻 . Ce week-end, j’avais vraiment trop envie de tester ces fameux cookies. La recette est vraiment surprenante, car c’est quasi que du beurre de cacahuète, avec un œuf, un peu de cassonade, un chouilla de levure, bref il n’y a pas de farine du tout donc j’me demandais comment ça pouvait durcir, et finalement ça a durci, et ça a bien goût de cacahuète et marié avec le chocolat, c’est divin !! 😍😍! Donc je recommande a 1000% En tout cas à la maison, tout le monde a aimé (y’en a déjà plu !😅) . Donc voilà tout pour ce petit dimanche matin, je pense même que je vais refaire une petite tournée vite fait pour notre brunch de tout à l’heure... 😋 .
