#Repost @astronomyphotos10 • • • • • • 👉What would you caption this?👈⠀ NGC 2841 in Ursa Major! This sharp view of the gorgeous island universe shows off a striking yellow nucleus and galactic disk. Dust lanes, small, pink star-forming regions, and young blue star clusters are embedded in the patchy, tightly wound spiral arms. In contrast, many other spirals exhibit grand, sweeping arms with large star-forming regions. X-ray images suggest that resulting winds and stellar explosions create plumes of hot gas extending into a halo around NGC 2841.⠀ 🌠Are you agree with this kind of pictures?, Leave a comment with your opinion about this🌠⠀ 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇⠀ Follow us for more photos like this one👇⠀ @astronomyphotos10@astronomyphotos10@astronomyphotos10⠀ 👇Main Account👇⠀ 👤@spacephotos10👤⠀ 👇📷Credits📷👇⠀ @galaxies⠀ •⠀ •⠀ •⠀ •⠀ •⠀ #galaxy #universe #space #astronomy #galaxies #galaxia #telescope #interstellar #constellation #hubble #astro_photography_ #ig_astrogphtography #nasabeyond #astrography_ #astrofotografia #astronomie #astrophotographer #apod #spacephotography #cosmology

Its name comes from the Roman god Saturn. It is part of the so-called outer or gaseous planets. The most characteristic aspect of Saturn is its bright rings. Before the invention of the telescope, Saturn was the furthest of the known planets and, at first glance, it didn't seem bright or interesting. The first to observe the rings was Galileo in 1610, but the low inclination of the rings and the low resolution of his telescope made him think at first that they were large moons. Christiaan Huygens, with better means of observation, was able to observe the rings clearly in 1659. James Clerk Maxwell, in 1859, mathematically demonstrated that the rings could not be a single solid object but should be the grouping of millions of smaller particles. AN HOURGLASS PLANETARY NEBULA The sands of time are running out for the central star of this hourglass-shaped planetary nebula. With its nuclear fuel exhausted, this brief, spectacular, closing phase of a Sun-like star's life occurs as its outer layers are ejected - its core becoming a cooling, fading white dwarf. In 1995, astronomers used the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) to make a series of images of planetary nebulae, including the one above. Here, delicate rings of colorful glowing gas (nitrogen-red, hydrogen-green, and oxygen-blue) outline the tenuous walls of the hourglass. The unprecedented sharpness of the HST images has revealed surprising details of the nebula ejection process that are helping to resolve the outstanding mysteries of the complex shapes and symmetries of planetary nebulas. . . . . • • • #spacephotography #spacetime #nasabeyond #earthfromspace #spacetime #astronautlife #nasabeyond #astrofotographia #astrography #deepsky #astro_photography #astrophotography #hubbletelescope #spaceshuttle #astronomer #astrophoto #spaceships #space #earthfromspace #spaceexploration #spacetravel #spaceflight #cosmology #internationalspacestation #astrophoto #roscosmos #nasabeyond #astronaut #astronomyfacts

Vol 2 Comulonimbus➡️Kümülonimbus EN🇬🇧✔️Cumulonimbus (from Latin cumulus, "heaped" and nimbus, "rainstorm") is a dense, towering vertical cloud, forming from water vapor carried by powerful upward air currents. If observed during a storm, these clouds may be referred to as thunderheads. Cumulonimbus can form alone, in clusters, or along cold front squall lines. These clouds are capable of producing lightning and other dangerous severe weather, such as tornadoes. 📆 08/17/19 That’s how it looks like without much zooming... Once #mercury rises, I have approximately 15 min until it gets behind that big tree. When it shows up again, the Sun is already up and Mercury is no more visible. . . . _____________ #p900 #nikonp900 #nikoncoolpixp900 #coolpixp900 #nikon #space #spacephotography #outerspace #astronomy #solarsystem #planet #world #astrophotography #universe #universo #sistemasolar #astronomia #astrophoto #mercurio #mercure @nikonrussia

The powerplant for the Apollo C/SM was the Service Propulsion System, or SPS. The engine selected and used as the SPS was the AJ10, which burned Aerozine 50 and Nitrogen Tetroxide as its fuel. Aerozine 50 itself was made up of two fuels, Hydrazine and Unsymmetrical Dimethylhydrazine, meaning the SPS is one of the few engines to ever burn 3 fuels simultaneously as opposed to the average 2 fuels. When development of the SPS began, the selected landing profile was Direct Ascent, which required a powerful engine like the AJ10. Later the same year, Lunar Orbit Rendevous became the selected method, but North American Aviation, the contractor building the C/SM, and Aerojet-General, the contractor building the SPS, decided to keep the arguably overkill design. On lunar missions, the SPS was used for course correction burns and to enter/exit lunar orbit. On earth orbital missions, the SPS was used to change orbits, and as a retrorocket to deorbit the spacecraft. Pictured is Apollo 15's C/SM, named Endeavour, in selenocentric orbit, July, 1971. The engine bell of the AJ10 is visible at the left side of the image.
