⁣ I stole $2,500 from my client😱⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Or at least that’s how I felt when she wasn’t getting the results right away.⁣ ⁣ Thoughts went through my head like….⁣ Should I give her her money back? ⁣ Omg I’m such a fraud, I want to VOM🤢. What do I say to her?⁣ Do I have to quit? Were my $40K+ in investments in myself all for nothing? ⁣ ⁣ 1 week later, she made all of it back and then some✨❗️⁣ ⁣ PHEW. BREATH. PICK YOURSELF UP. DO IT AGAIN.⁣ ⁣ I should’ve known better, but in the beginning, imposter syndrome crippled me. 😬⁣ ⁣ The reality is though, success does not happen overnight despite what you see! ⁣ ▶️There’s a lot of smoke and mirrors happening. The term ‘fake it ’til you make it’ exists for a reason and it’s alllll over the gram, just making you feel bad ⁣ ▶️The women making thousands of dollars, sipping margs from swings in Bali have all felt like you do. THIS I CAN PROMISE YOU. Overnight success does not exist, and what most people won’t tell you is that you typically do not see results in your business until 90 days later….ESPECIALLY if you are just getting started.⁣ ⁣ (same as weight loss, ladies. Your lifestyle today impacts your beach bod later. Ain’t no amount of detox tea or green juice is toning up a butt that doesn’t get off the couch!) ⁣ ⁣ ✨So say it with me…..⁣ ▶️I will trust in the process (even if this phrase makes me want to punch someone in the throat, lol)⁣ ▶️The actions I take today will pay off months from now. Clients love me and they flock to me. ⁣ ▶️If the girl in Bali can do it, SO CAN I! Everyone starts somewhere, I will not pivot until I see the fruits of my labor. Instead of using a bar or rings (which we also love) she's working her grip with some thick ropes. . This helps her activate more muscle, getting better results in a shorter time. . Once you can get a handle on your true worth—that’s when the physical changes start!🙌🏻 . You gotta do some heavy lifting first💪🏻 . . Now generally I would be talking about lifting weights, right? But that isn’t all that gets heavy when you start a fitness journey and I am going to challenge you to lift that too, girl!👏🏻 . What I am finding is that people know how to find workouts, you know how to find recipes—Pinterest has you covered there! . But what you really need to make changes in your daily habits and stay committed to exercise is addressing all that crap that goes on in your head!😬 . I would be doing you a HUGE disservice if I didn’t make you address this stuff too. We have to face these emotional things, these lies we’ve been telling or have been spoken over us and the stuff we are trying to hide. If you don’t address this, you’re going to be back where you were at the beginning. . Trust me- it took me addressing my issues to really see the other side of change. I had to confront my inner turmoil-my need for approval that lead to not being loyal in relationships, my fear of failure that lead me to not try new things and my need to appear like I have my shit together---I am learning that no one does!! 🤪 . . So maybe addressing these things doesn’t lead me to going into the gym and crushing a higher weight, but what it does do is opens up space for me to see that my power, my worth, my strength doesn’t come from me. . I had to sit down with these things, and I still do, and turn them over to someone greater than myself. I had to find a way let all the bad parts come to light so that I can let go of them! And what this did is let my heart and mind open to my true power, my true source of strength and my true worth❤️ . . We have to get your mind right so you are ready when it gets hard (cause it will), you are ready when you want to quit (cause you will want to) and ready for embracing how AMAZING you are (cause this can be hard)!🥰 . . Ik ben vandaag jarig: 30 alweer (of is het pas?)! - Wat me de afgelopen jaren het meest heeft gebracht is begin vorig jaar in therapie te zijn gegaan. - Dat klinkt voor sommigen misschien erg zwaar, maar het is wel wat je doet wanneer je een, of meer of minder, keer per week gaat praten met een coach. - Ik heb bewust gekozen voor een coach die mij elke week dieper meenam in mijn eigen diepgewortelde patronen, emoties, gevoelens, mijn hoofd en uiteindelijk van mijn hoofd naar mijn hart. - We staan misschien niet altijd stil bij hoeveel we tegenwoordig 'in ons hoofd zitten' en niet meer zo vaak in ons gevoel. - Vandaag kwam ik er tijdens een, voorheen doods-, angst achter hoe ik graag ik naar mijn hoofd wilde: • Dit is gevaarlijk, je kan dit niet, wat dom dat je persé via deze weg naar beneden wil, @woutermiddelbos ergert zich vast dood aan je, want die is al bijna beneden, je doet toch een klimcursus dus hoezo ben je dan nu zo bang om langs een ketting omlaag te gaan • Al die gedachtes mochten er zijn, no hard feelings naar mezelf toe over die gedachtes en: • Mijn intuïtie/gevoel zei dat het 100% prima naar beneden gaan was (ook al hing die ketting op meerdere plekken LOS, WTF?!) - Voorheen had ik mezelf achteraf na zoiets keihard afgestraft dat ik niet meteen 'dapper' was of mezelf 'gek' moest maken met al die negatieve gedachten. - Nu.. nu zijn ze er gewoon en switch ik, zonder oordeel, heen en weer tussen mijn hoofd en mijn gevoel. - Daardoor was ik extra trots dat ik levend van die berg af gekomen ben, hangend aan een (loszittende, echt wtf) ketting. - Moraal van het verhaal: alle negatieve gedachten die je hebt over jezelf die zijn er. Die hoef je niet te vervangen voor positieve gedachten, of jezelf te straffen dat je ze hebt. Onderga ze, erken ze en je komt bij de kern waar ze nu echt vandaan komen. - Tweede moraal van het verhaal: investeer in een coach. Al is het maar een paar sessies. But I saw the results I was looking for and the more I did it the more I grew to love it. It has become something I absolutely love to do, want to do, it is a therapy for me, it is a time fo me to think and sometimes a time for me to release stress. It pushes me and helps me grow. MAKE SURE on the side that the knee is down you have squeeze your butt under neath and then straighten your arms by your head...you should feel this a heck of a lot more! I was severely depressed, crippling anxiety, I took every prescription drug under the sun to try and bandaid my issues. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ My sister Sarah @sarahelizabethsfitness pretty much told me I was doing the new Beach Body program Transform 20 with her in December as I needed all the help I could get. I was reluctant and thought there was no way a 20 min workout was going to change or help me in any way. I did it because I was so desperate for anything to relieve the pain I was feeling on the inside. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ The first week I cried through every workout out but I showed up every day and drank my super food shake, took my pre workout, stayed on course with my meal plan and nutrition. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ I’m proud to say I not only completed that program but two more after and it is my sole purpose in life to help you complete yours! ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ My next challenge group kicks off on July 1st and I have 3 spots remaining. this is what love looks like. 💖 i remember when there was a particularly bad blood shortage in town that ended up causing me to miss breakfast everyday because i had to work so much. my morning routine got completely pushed to the side and it made an enormous impact on my mind for the rest of the day. having no work-life balance should be voluntary, but that is not reality. 🌸 i love the morning. it’s a chance for 24 new hours. the sun rises, and then it sets. we can depend on that. what do you like to do in those 24 hours? i like to be here for them. i don’t like to think about future worries or past hardships unless i am working toward transforming my feelings toward them to help me in the present moment. 🍃 that’s not to say i don’t ever feel bad. that would be a blatant lie. sometimes i get so spun around by such bad thoughts that i only feel weak and dizzy. being afraid of, and a slave to, bad thoughts is like being imprisoned. it’s not the truth though. thoughts are not facts. 🌼 the mornings start with taking time to eat something that makes me feel good and reading something that makes me feel good. meditating is also a key component in my overall happiness. it allows me to stop and deeply appreciate my mind and body for what it is. it gives me an opportunity to say, “i like her” before i can even think, “i don’t like her.” 🌱 but maybe it’s not that i don’t like her. maybe i love her. 🤪 #lovethyself #selflovery #selflovetips #selfloveclub #selflovespo #chooseyourself #fallinlovewithyourself #confidenceiskey #happinessisbeautiful #strongher #showupforyourself #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #mental

this is what love looks like. 💖 i remember when there was a particularly bad blood shortage in town that ended up causing me to miss breakfast everyday because i had to work so much. my morning routine got completely pushed to the side and it made an enormous impact on my mind for the rest of the day. having no work-life balance should be voluntary, but that is not reality. 🌸 i love the morning. it’s a chance for 24 new hours. the sun rises, and then it sets. we can depend on that. what do you like to do in those 24 hours? i like to be here for them. i don’t like to think about future worries or past hardships unless i am working toward transforming my feelings toward them to help me in the present moment. 🍃 that’s not to say i don’t ever feel bad. that would be a blatant lie. sometimes i get so spun around by such bad thoughts that i only feel weak and dizzy. being afraid of, and a slave to, bad thoughts is like being imprisoned. it’s not the truth though. thoughts are not facts. 🌼 the mornings start with taking time to eat something that makes me feel good and reading something that makes me feel good. meditating is also a key component in my overall happiness. it allows me to stop and deeply appreciate my mind and body for what it is. it gives me an opportunity to say, “i like her” before i can even think, “i don’t like her.” 🌱 but maybe it’s not that i don’t like her. maybe i love her. 🤪 #lovethyself #selflovery #selflovetips #selfloveclub #selflovespo #chooseyourself #fallinlovewithyourself #confidenceiskey #happinessisbeautiful #strongher #showupforyourself #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #mental)?>

I used to find it very hard to be vulnerable on social media. In fact I still do. When I write one of these posts, I log off and avoid reading the comments for hours 😂🙈 That’s some #truthbombs for you. When you spend years having an unhealthy relationship with food, it becomes a secret. Your secret. You spend your life hiding it and fitting in and acting normal. You spend life feeling ashamed that you’re constantly dieting, trying new fads, yo-yoing with your weight. You’re always hitting your goal and then failing when you go back to “normal life” and gain it all back. It becomes this huge, overwhelming and exhausting secret. Like an abusive relationship except this one is with food. It may sound harsh because that’s what it is. You’re allowing food to control you. You’re abusing your body and not respecting yourself. And so you learn to hide it and keep secrets. This is why this is hard for me even now. It’s all about unlearning those habits. To stop protecting those truths so fiercely. It’s about talking them out, admitting, accepting and moving forward. So when my posts become very vulnerable and real, those aren’t easy for me either. I’m not struggling at it any less than you. The major difference is that I took the steps to heal that and it’s what brought me here. You can too. So let’s do it. Let’s stop keeping this secret. Let’s start talking about the elephant in the room #stopfearingfood

🤷🏼‍♀️What is your idea of the ‘PERFECT’ body? 💪🏻- - Every day I work with some amazing individuals with all their own training and body goals; lose weight, gain muscle, reduce body fat, etc. - - But do you want to know what bothers me the most? How these amazing women all fail to realise how unique and beautiful they are at the point they are at in their journeys. - - It’s very rare that we get to our ‘desired shape’ because it’s ever changing, we always want more, we’re never truly 100% happy and that’s totally ok! How many times have you trained for a particular goal, and (if you worked hard enough to achieve it) have had the next bigger goal over shine the achievement, immediately making you less proud of where you are right now and your achievements so far?! My point exactly. - - So here is me. At the start of my journey I wanted to look strong, I wanted to become a Powerlifter and actually have people look at me and think “oh yeah she clearly lifts”. Even though I could be bigger, could be more defined, could be stronger, I love the shape I am right here right now. ALL THE THINGS. • But also thinking about my competition plans! This is such a passion of mine, but I also want to be smart and continue to improve. The ultimate goal right now is to turn Pro. These 2 warriors have come forward leaps and bounds since their first session on #warriorproject It’s not all about lifting heavier and maintaining form (which they have both succeeded at), they are also both making healthier nutritional choices and have also displayed a boost of confidence along the way. GO DO AN EMMIE 🙌🏾 ————————————- Last night saw one of our longest warriors emmie tackle a goal that was set after her very first session back in August 2018! On coming coming into the #project Emmie’s goal was to prepare for her 7 month #apalachiantrail In 2020- however she had just broke her back and could barely do a bodyweight Lunge with a TRX- so we set the goal of lunging with 10kg by the end June 2018 as she goes away for a little while before returning in September. ————————————- This is a huge step and yes technically there is still room to grow but, this goal may see small to most but it alters everything in such a big way. Emmie took her weakness and is making it her strength...so on reading this go do an EMMIE!! ...and she did this at the end of the session 😂 her poor legs!
