#transformationtuesday because I listened to podcasts all the way back to school and it got me to thinking. Fitness to me used to be this thought- If I eat over 1200 calories that’s unhealthy and fattening and if I don’t run off 300 calories on top of my workout, the day was a failure health wise. Fast forward to now- how in the world did I even come up with those numbers? Now I’m listening to podcasts on the science of food/exercise and love learning more and more every day. No longer do I view fitness and health as some tool to make me ‘skinny’ but I truly love the lifestyle and learning new things and seeing my body change. I now learn for myself the truth behind the science rather than being tied to these numbers from random internet sources. I mean, I would never have dreamed of putting on weight in a bulking stage a couple years ago and look at me now. Doing just that & loving it! If you are where I was a few years ago, you are not alone at all & you can come out of that consuming mindset. It takes time and effort but it’s possible.💪🏼 #gainsss

Sooooo...... i have 3 kittens. 🐱🐱I'm a cat mom. And it's been life changing. Keeping them all entertained has been a workout! My life has been crazy. No days to really focus on me and myself, and me. Lol. It's been GO GO GO! Which is just for a season, but it's been quite a difficult season. As I'm going through this season I'm not feeling motivated to get to the gym everyday. Honestly I've been going when I can, and when I can squeeze it in. I go for 30-45 mins about 3 times a week. This is nothing for me, but right now, it's almost TOO much. I miss my fitness lifestyle. I miss my YouTube channel and my Instagram, the community. BUT, I need to make it till December! December 8th I graduate ladies! Graduation is near. Which means this season is about to close! I miss you all and love you all. Thanks for being patient ❤️✔️🏋🏻‍♀️

Colossians 2:10 teaches us that we have been given fullness in Christ. And yet I have struggled all my life with finding my identity and self worth in others’ approval instead of His. . But one minute, one hour, one day at a time I am working on it. Working to shift my focus and find approval and my identity in Christ alone. Everything else is just temporary and fades in comparison. Or at least it should. . I know I’m only at the beginning of my journey and recovery process but thankful for those walking through it with me. The Lord has definitely blessed me with girls who can help me every step of the way and opened my eyes to this weakness of mine. . I pray if there are others out there struggling with self worth, that you turn to the Lord for comfort and acceptance. He alone can satisfy this ache within us. 🙏 at Dallas, Texas

So I told y'all that yesterday started a new routine for me, 5 am workouts. Ya, I already screwed that up today.🤦🏼‍♀️ . The struggle of our 6 year old still sleeping in our bed is real. 😂 . He decided to wake up at 4:59 a.m. to go pee and didn't fall back asleep until 5:40ish and by then I dozed off and didn't have another alarm set. The rest is history.🙄 . So my point is I get it, mommas. Kids can make things difficult, but instead of letting that ruin my workout today, I just had to do it later.🤷🏼‍♀️ . And I still have my alarm set for 5 for tomorrow. And still plan to stick to this new routine because it's starts my day off on a positive note. And I'll work around any other obstacles that I know will happen. 😂 . Which is exactly what my next accountability group will be focused on. Propel ⬆️ Next Level. . We're going to cut out those excuses. What is your biggest struggle when it comes to fitness? For me it's prioritizing rest and recovery. I absolutely suck at stretching and foam rolling. The dumbest part about this is that I'm a trainer and KNOW how needed this is and yet I still fail to do it and now I'm paying for it 😭 My lower back is so tight and I officially feel like an old man 👴🏻 thankfully my sports chiropractor helped me out asap so it's not too bad and I can still train but I have to take it easy of course. But I'm remaining positive and choosing to see it as a very important lesson. I am now going to stretch weekly, see my sports chiropractor every other week, and freaking listen to my body! If you're someone who trains hard on a daily basis please take it from me, take care of your body before you risk an injury. We only have one body and as much as we'd like to believe, we are not invincible. Here’s a little truth Tuesday for you! My non scale victory for today is the simple fact that I’m wearing these shorts and not feeling bummed out about my legs! My legs....thighs in particular.....for a number of years now have been a part of my body that I’ve struggled with. They have always been the hardest part of me to slim down. With thicker thighs I’ve struggled for some time with finding shorts that fit me well and tend to simply avoid them. That awkward feeling when you’re sitting down in the summer and feel like a busted can of biscuits is not one I enjoy very much!!! Workout shorts? Forget it! Those suckers annoyed the crap out of me, would ride up, and never felt comfortable......until now! And while it’s still an area of frustration for me and something I continue to work on, it’s nice to see my body respond to progress! I have a ways to go, but I know with consistency I’ll get there, and the same goes for you if this is something you struggle with too. As long as you’re continuing to work for what you want, your hard work will pay off in the end! Just because you reach your goal weight it doesn't mean you're going to be happy. The number, the scale, it can be the worst thing to play on your mind. I'm smiling in the before pic but inside I was obsessing over what to eat, what not to eat and I was doing crazy amounts of cardio to reach my goal weight. All I wanted was to be skinny and I really thought it would make me happy. It didn't. What makes me happy now? The after pic, the girl who has some curves. I now enjoy food, including pizza and cheeseburgers 🍔😊😜but obviously in moderation. I no longer do an hour of cardio a day and I no longer weigh myself. The key ingredient to any successful diet is preparation. Especially when at the office/ on campus all day long, we need somewhere to put all the food we need otherwise we'll just go and buy snacks which isn't good for the bank account or the diet 🤷🏼‍♀️. Thankfully the guys at @warprep have got me covered. They sent me over some merch asking for a private review but here's a public one because this box is a life saver which I think everyone needs to benefit from! 🙏. Basically there's 3 different compartments plus cutlery which all fit together PLUS an insulated bag to put it all in which means I can make my oats first thing in the morning, then do my fasted cardio walk to Uni and eat them when I get there and they're still warm. Winner! 🙌🏼 The box doesn't leak at all and the bag also means that no nasty smells linger in my backpack throughout the day. So basically 10/10 would recommend and also the branding is on point if you wanna look and feel like a boss👊👏

Shhh... Don't tell my yoga-hating boss that I sneak out on my lunch breaks to get a stretch, catch my breath, and reset my mind. When you've been focused on meeting deadlines all morning, it's necessary. And no one is going to just hand the time to you. Because here is the truth. No matter how much a company says they care about your health, your family, your "work/life balance", what they really care about is their deadlines and bottom lines. Most jobs would rather have you come in early, work late, skip meals, bring sickness into the office than miss a day for your health. But no one can function in a high performing level like that! This is why I chose a side hustle that put my health first. My health is my business. If I neglect myself, I fail. And next on the list? My family, my friends, my relationships. It may be some "stupid workout company" but they have their priorities right! I have no doubt that someday (maybe soon) this stupid workout company will be all I need to provide for my family. TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY ✨💛 . . Kept my underwear loooow this time so the lovely people can’t tell me that the only progress I’ve made in a year is learning how to wear my underwear higher so it’s more flattering 🤷🏼‍♀️ thanks guys! . . One year of ups, downs, holidays, Christmas, birthdays, slip ups and whatever else life throws your way but one thing I’ve done is remain consistent. I’m still not where I want to be but you find as time goes by goals change and you adapt to that but I will get there 💪🏼 I’ve learnt that you have to set goals realistic to your body type - I have a naturally wide waist so really working on trying to create that nipped in narrow shape now! One thing I do know is that I wouldn’t have got ANYWHERE without training with and following my programs set by @ginocosta ☺️ so glad he’s decided to start taking on online clients, so girls/guys if you’re training by yourself at the moment and not sure what it is you need to do to reach your goals, drop him a message! Sometimes you need that push of a coach to keep you focused and make sure you’re getting the most out of your sessions! I just had long day... I thought if I ignored my workout partner.... I would not exercise today... I'd run away So today I went in 🛀 took off my workout clothes No 🍑 building today.. ... I don't run from leg day.. Glute day? Naww but even reading some workout post from my accountability group I wasn't gonna do it.. I snuggled in the bed with my 10 year old and even let my 13 year old Son camp out on floor next to me... Lights out and Balaam IMO is ringing in my ear... My #quadsquad... Lighting up my phone... Screaming at me to get out of the bed!! What's up p with these video chats ... You would think they were in the room with me SMH... I GOT UP... put my Grey Under Armour leggings on... Holy Monday! Shit just got real! Shift Shop is no freaking joke y'all! I felt like a fitness newbie all over again!! Pic 1 was after 25 minutes of cardio with "Speed". Pic 2 after another 25 minutes "Strength". I'm no wimp but DAMN that kicked my ass!! 60 seconds never seemed so long! @houseofannam I will definitely try my best not to have to double up again! Today turned out to be an emotionally draining day where no matter how bad I wanted to turn my thoughts around, I let things out of my control, take the control over my thoughts and mood.😔 . And I HATE that I let stuff get the best of me sometimes and change my mood from happy to miserable and short - that’s NOT me - that’s not the me I WANT to be, nor the one I like. I don’t want other people and other things to effect me so much. I DON’T need to make everyone happy and I don’t need to fix other people’s problems. This is something I’ve always struggled with because I hate to let people down, especially those I love. But I have learned the hard, hard way that there are those you will NEVER please no matter how hard you try, and I found that the person I let down the most by always trying to please others, is myself. 🙋🏼I can only fix ME, I can only control MY actions and MY thoughts. . You see I’m trying to find the balance between nurturing others, and nurturing myself. The thing I finally figured out was that you can’t do one WITHOUT the other. 🙌🏻 You have to find y o u r balance, or else you will open yourself up to being taken advantage of, your happy mood spoiled, your days turned from optimistic to pessimistic.👎🏻And that is just unacceptable. . I’m not perfect. I struggled today and I may not be proud of how I acted, but I am not going to let it ruin the rest of my day. I am home, in my coziest clothes in my cozy home, with my boys, warm, safe, and I have a fiancé who I adore and loves me more than anything. 🙌🏻 I am a DAMN lucky woman, and I am grateful as hell for all I have. 🙏🏻 . So I’m going to dust it off, turn my frown upside down, and let it go - because tomorrow is another day to be better. ❤️
