Stay home...MAKE PANCAKES! 🥞 We know you might be at home social distancing, why not try making these Fannie Farmer’s Griddlecakes while you have the time. They're delicious and topped with #KillerPecans! INGREDIENTS Fannie Farmer’s Griddlecake: 1 ½ cups flour 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder 3 tablespoons sugar ¾ teaspoon salt 1 egg, slightly beaten ¾ cup milk (or more) 3 tablespoons butter, melted Garnish: 4 bananas, sliced 8 slices bacon, chopped, rendered until crisp, drained 1 ½ cup maple syrup, warm 1 cup Killer Pecans, chopped PREPARATION ✔ Mix together the dry ingredients. ✔ Add the beaten egg, melted butter and milk and stir vigorously, adding more milk, if necessary, to make the batter just thin enough to pour. ✔ Drop by spoonfuls on to a heated and greased griddle or frying pan using medium heat. When full of bubbles and the underside is browned, turn and brown the other side. ✔ Serve warm pancakes topped with sliced bananas, crispy bacon pieces, chopped Killer Pecans and maple syrup. Chris xx⠀ .⠀ LEMON BROWNED BUTTER BABY POTATOES | Serves 4-6 as a side⠀ .⠀ 🍴INGREDIENTS🍴⠀ .⠀ 1.6lbs / 750g Baby Potatoes⠀ 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter⠀ 1 heaped tsp Garlic, finely diced⠀ 1 Lemon⠀ 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, finely diced + extra for garnish⠀ 1/4 cup Fresh Chives, finely diced⠀ Salt & Black Pepper⠀ .⠀ 🍴METHOD🍴⠀ .⠀ 1️⃣Grab your baby potatoes and keep the tiny ones as they are, slice the medium ones in half and consider quartering any particularly large ones. Place in a pot of salted water and bring to the boil for 10mins or until fork tender. Drain and allow to steam dry for 10mins or until the sauce is ready.⠀ 2️⃣Meanwhile, in a pan melt in your butter over medium heat. As it begins to foam, keep gently stirring as the butter turns from a lemony yellow to a light brown colour. After a few more minutes you will start to see tiny dark specks start to form on the surface, these are just the milk solids. Once you see the butter turning a deeper brown colour, it will release a nutty aroma. This is when your butter is properly browned. If at any point the nutty aroma smells more like burning, then simple reduce the heat.⠀ 3️⃣Once browned, add your garlic and fry for a minute or so then stir the juice of half your lemon, parsley, chives and salt & pepper to taste. Add your potatoes and give them a good stir to absorb those gorgeous flavours.⠀ 4️⃣Serve by thinly slicing the other half of your lemon and slotting in between the potatoes. Pour over the leftover sauce from the pan and garnish with extra parsley. From the Texas farm kitchen of chefs George and Katie Brown...bring in the NEW YEAR and NEW DECADE with these delicious German Chocolate Killer Pecans Pie Bars 🍫 INGREDIENTS 2 cups Killer Pecans (shop the Killer Pecans sale bit.ly/KPKillerPecans) 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour ¾ cup confectioners’ sugar ¾ cup butter, cold, cubed ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 ½ cups chocolate chips 3 eggs ¾ cup packed light brown sugar ¾ cup ribbon cane syrup (corn syrup can be substituted) ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut PREPARATION 1) Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. 2) Roast pecans until slightly browned. 3) Line the bottom and sides of a 9” x 13” x 2” baking pan with parchment paper or foil. Spray with grease. 4) Whisk together the flour, confectioners’ sugar and cocoa. Add the butter and combine using your fingers or a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Press the mixture into the bottom and a little up the sides of the prepared pan. The mixture should be dry, but will stick together when pressed. 5) Bake the crust for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips evenly over the crust. 6) In a bowl, whisk the eggs then add the brown sugar, ribbon cane syrup, and melted butter. Whisk until smooth. Stir in the coconut and pecans. Pour evenly over the crust. 7) Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes or until the filling has set. In a large bowl, pour in the stuffing mix, crumbled corn bread, egg, stock, cream of chicken soup, and sausage mixture. Give a good stir to mix it all together. 6. Pour into prepared casserole dish, and place the thinly sliced butter all over the top. 7. it was a 𝒃𝒊𝒈 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒍 to me that I took two 𝑬𝑿𝑻𝑹𝑨 rest days last week. not because it messed up my workout calendar or changed the number on my scale... ⠀⠀ but because in the past: 2 rest days would have turned to 2 weeks of rest days..... to 2 months..... to me NOT setting foot in the gym until pre-spring break ⠀⠀ but now? Dulce De Leche Apple Pie: This pie was SOOOO GOOD. Jon smoked it on the Traeger for Friendsgiving and it was a hit! Watching the process was really fun and when the dulce de leche was poured on 🤤 Unfortunately, he had to use a store bought crust for the bottom because he couldn’t get the bottom dough to be large enough without cracking.. He did get the top piece to work, so that is homemade! And he used the messed up one to make a second pie! Still have leftover turkey from Thanksgiving? Turn it into these delicious gobble bites! Yields 2 dozen Ingredients 8 oz elbow macaroni, cooked 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp all-purpose flour ¾ cup low fat milk 1 cup canned pumpkin ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese ¾ cup shredded parmesan cheese 1/8 tsp nutmeg ¼ tsp salt ¼ tsp pepper 24 oz sliced turkey ¼ cup dried cranberries Directions 1. Over medium heat melt the butter and add the flour. Whisk continuously until it turns light brown. 2. Whisk in the milk slowly. The sauce should begin to thicken. 3. Continuously whisking, add the pumpkin, ½ cup cheddar cheese, and ½ cup parmesan cheese. Save the remaining ¼ cup parmesan cheese for the topping. 4. Stir in the nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Combine the sauce with the macaroni and stir to coat the pasta evenly. 5. Grease a muffin tin with cooking spray. Line up two slices of the turkey and place inside the muffin cups to form a bowl. 6. Fill each turkey bowl with the macaroni and top with parmesan cheese. 7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the turkey is crisp on the edges and the top is lightly browned. Cover with foil if the edges of the turkey brown before the cheese topping. 8. Is there time to wish a late Happy Thanksgiving to all overseas teafriends?! A few days ago I celebrated it with a dinner at home. I baked the cornbread for the first time, very fast and tasty. Then I prepared a pumpkin soup, with carrots, ginger, a dash of maple syrup and poppy seeds to garnish. A mix of American sweet potatoes in the oven and mashed potatoes, as well as a mixed salad with citrus fruit wedges. Finally, a pumpink pie, decorated with crumbled walnuts. To accompany the dishes, I brew a very special Alishan, processed like a hong cha, with a fruity and almost chocolatey aroma. A dinner in a true family mood! . Sono ancora in tempo per augurare un felice Ringraziamento a tutti gli amici tealovers d'oltreoceano?! Qualche sera fa ho festeggiato anch'io, con una cena a tema! Ho preparato per la prima volta il cornbread, rapidissimo e gustoso. Poi zuppa di zucca, carote e zenzero, con un goccio di sciroppo d'acero e semi di papavero a guarnire. Un mix di patate dolce americane in forno e in purè, oltre che insalata mista con spicchi di agrumi. Infine una pumpinkin pie, decorata con noci sbriciolate. Ad accompagnare il tutto, un calice di particolarissimo Alishan lavorato come un hong cha, dall'aroma fruttato e quasi cioccolatoso, Una cena che sapeva... di festa in famiglia! . #thanksgiving #TEAnksgiving

PUMPKIN ALMOND FLOUR COOKIES . So this is what I did with that extra #pumpkin purée 🧡 I made cookies!! . ⚡️1.5 cups almond flour ⚡️ 1/2 cup pumpkin purée ⚡️ 1/4 cup melted butter ⚡️ 1 tsp vanilla extract ⚡️ 1/2 tsp baking powder ⚡️ 1 large egg ⚡️ 1/4 cup coconut sugar ✨ Mix dry ingredients. Separately mix wet ingredients. Combine all ingredients until a pasty dough is formed. Roll in balls & flatten with hand on a cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes @ 350 degrees F. . ✨ Once done sprinkle with cinnamon & sugar (stevia) topping.
