After my partial mastectomy, reconstruction surgery, and radiation this past summer, I spent a lot of time reflecting on this disease that not only has affected me twice in the last 7 years, but also affects 1 in 8 women in the United States alone and over 2 million everyday all over the world. #TheFactsAreTheStats . Breast Cancer Awareness Month may be over but that doesn’t mean we stop talking about breast cancer, a disease that kills someone every 13 minutes. So I am partnering with @susangkomen to encourage you to visit their website and support the breast cancer cause by making a donation to help find critical breakthroughs in breast cancer, including what causes it, how can it be detected earlier, and how it can be treated successfully. #susangkomen_partner . Unfortunately this disease is closer than you think. I don’t just know one person affected by this disease, I know many, and I am sure you do, too. Let’s stand together and make a change! #SusanGKomen #BreastCancerClapback

AD #susangkomen_partner October is breast cancer awareness month, as I'm sure you know. Would you please visit this page to learn more about breast cancer how you can help support the breast cancer cause? https://ww5.komen.org/unacceptable/ 1 in 8 women in the USA will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. That's a staggering number! One of my friends was just diagnosed. :( My grandmother who passed away last year at 95 was touched by breast cancer. She found a lump during a routine exam, which is what spurred to follow up with her doctor. She got her diagnosis in her 60s, did chemo, and was cancer free for many years. She used to go to work, do chemo on her lunch break, then head back to work. I hope that I'm as tough as my Grandma! If you need treatment assistance you can call 1-877 GO KOMEN (1-877-465-6636) for help with tough questions and advice from experts. I'm grateful to be a #susangkomen_partner for their breast cancer advocacy and helping to educate people! @susangkomen #SusanGKomen #CreativelyCaring #TheFactsAreTheStats #BreastCancerClapback #PhyrrasFault #HoodedEyes #over40influencer #HealthGoth #NuGoth #igersTampa #BravePretty #GlowingSkin #PowerOfGood #SpookySeason #SpookyGirls #InkedGirls #BodyPositivity #LiveYourPassion #InstaPride #brujasofinstagram #witchesofinstagram #gothwitch #BodyPositivity

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I couldn’t be more proud to be a #susangkomen_partner and be an ambassador that educates you and encourages you to get involved with @susangkomen to help fight against breast cancer. . . It has been almost a month since my last radiation treatment and I’m still healing physically, mentally, and emotionally. To be honest, the last 9 months (and especially the last 3 months) have taken quite a toll on me and I’ve found it difficult to get back to “normal”. And to be honest, when you are a breast cancer survivor, there is never really a normal after being diagnosed and going through treatment because it’s a disease that is a part of you for the rest of your life to some extent. . . Did you know that breast cancer is not just one disease but is rather a family of about 15 different types of breast cancer? And since it affects about 1 in 8 women in the United States during their lifetime, think about how many women you know, and what that means for them or even for you. . . I invite you to visit the link in my profile to become involved and help #SusanGKomen provide the research, advocacy, treatment assistance, education, and support to individuals and the field of breast cancer. Every person makes a difference. #CreativelyCaring #TheFactsAreTheStats #BreastCancerClapback . . . . #breastcancersucks #breastcancersupport #breastcancer #breastcancersurvivor #breastcancerawareness #breastcancerwarrior #breastcancerfighter #breastcancerjourney #radiationtherapy #breastcancersurgery #thinkpink #pinkribbon #dcis #cancersucks #cancersurvivor #cancerjourney #womenshealth #womenhelpingwomen #womeninspiringwomen #womenencouragingwomen #womensupportingwomen #breastcancerawarenessmonth #nationalbreastcancerawarenessmonth #radiation
