#tmstherapy on Thursday and Friday was particularly bad.. Friday I kept having to wipe away tears and I have a high pain tolerance. Monday they're going to redo the positioning to see if there's a better position that hurts less. When its further back on my head it's drastically less painful so fingers crossed that they can move it.

*Super Personal Post* Pardon the awkward angle. Lots of people know me from middle school & high school as that quiet depressed girl. As I grew up & started college, I struggled like we all did. Just differently. As years went on, it got worse & became a bigger concern. After MANY different types of meds, stays & treatments, for the first time since I was 15.. I feel good. I feel healthy and clear minded. & as I officially start a future I actually want now, I feel happy. I wanted to say thank you for all the support, love & prayers I received for a long time now. If you were even a small part of this journey with me, you made a huge difference. I am here because of the people that supported me & cared for me in any way possible. My appreciation is indescribable & the love I have for my close friends & family throughout those years will never disappear. I look forward to the day where Mental Illness is accepted as being a ‘normal’ thing. When someone who is suffering from depression can call in sick to work and tell them exactly why they aren’t there rather than masking it as a sore tummy or a headache. When people don’t look at you and say ‘you don’t look depressed’ or ‘you don’t look anxious’ but instead say ‘is there anything I can do?’. When people don’t make insensitive jokes about someone having OCD or speak about the weather as having ‘borderline personality disorder’ because of its ‘ups and downs’. If the weather was engaging in acts of self harm, promiscuous sex and risk taking then sure, it may have BPD but it’s more likely just a shitty weather day! One of the hardest battles I’ve faced in my life is my mental illness. Some days I forget that I even have Bipolar but other days it’s the only thing I can think about. If I’m not feeling well mentally, I can not function to the best of my ability. Looking after your mental health is so important and being aware of those around you is important also. It can be hard to ask for it and it can also be extremely tough to put into words how you feel but know there is help available. I have battled with mental illness since my teens. I’ve certainly had a really bumpy road but I’m still fighting the fight as best I can and taking each day as it comes. It’s not always unicorns and rainbows but nothing really is.
