😅The struggle is real😅 Largas noches con una chica enferma por 3 días y lo que falta porque es un virus que no se acaba de ir y yo 👀💊🌡 por la noche. • No todos los días son fáciles para sacar la energía para hacer ejercicio. Hoy me costo... y no porque sea lunes! Pero... lo hice💪🏻 • Que hago en estos días así cuando mi energía esta en cero? Pienso en como se ve mi semana a ver si puedo sustituirlo otro día. Pienso en si de verdad vale la pena no hacerlo🤔 si va a hacer diferencia darme el break. Y entonces decido. Hoy aunque lo atrase varias veces en el día al final antes me tome un cafecito y arranque. No fue el mejor pero no me quite! Y después me dio un poco mas de energía para el resto del día 😃 ————————————————— 😅The struggle is real😅 Long nights with a girl with a virus for 3 days and going. Superset: 🏋 Overhead Press and Bent Over Barbell Rows (cheaty reps after looking at the tape) This ended up feeling a lot harder than I thought it'd be. Small snippet of my very simple workout today, which consisted of stretches, bench press, T-bar rows, overhead press, and bent over rows. Maybe it was the heat? Definitely not enough water but energy was low. I always switch over to volume work (10+ reps) if the energy isnt there. Can still get a very good amount of work done at a lower intensity. If you've never tried presses and rows back to back, give them a shot. Definitely challenging but worth it. Thank you @raybaileycoaching for filming. at NorCal Functional Fitness

“I can’t eat healthy, I don’t like salad” LOL I FEEL YA. So funny when I go out to eat because unless the restaurant specializes in bomb salads you won’t catch me ordering one 😂🙅🏻‍♀️ I’m so picky when it comes to salads and I like to think of myself as a salad queen because I’ve pretty much gotten down how to make a delicious and actually filling salad, every time 🙌🏼👏🏼 Okay haha so here are my best salad tips for ya below, seriously game changers in the salad world 🥗🌎 1️⃣ Chop up your greens! Actually, chop up everything around the same size. So much easier to eat and the good stuff won’t just end up on the bottom. 2️⃣ Add color and extra nutrition with the veggies you add, and again, chop ‘em small for easier consumption! 3️⃣ Add texture! You can go for cucumber like me or nuts/seeds work so well. I try to stay away from croutons because one serving is like five or six of them lol but I have them every now and then if there isn’t anything else 🤷🏻‍♀️ 4️⃣ ADD SWEETNESS. There’s nothing like having a bite of sweet apple in your salad, so refreshing and yum. I love adding strawberries and apples best. 5️⃣ Add protein! This one is kind of obvious, but if you usually leave out the protein it can leave you so hungry afterwards. Always add protein & heathy fats to your salad if you’re making it your meal so you can actually fill yourself up. I used tuna but you can use chicken, chickpeas, tofu, anything really! 6️⃣ Make your own dressing! So simple to make at home and you probably already have the necessary ingredients. I made mine with olive oil, honey, mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt & pep! Always think to start with a base (oil), add sweetness (honey), acidity (acv), and an emulsifier (mustard). - Easy peezy lemon squeezey, have fun with your new salad making skills!! 🤗🥗 at Florida

You can’t see what’s happening, but her lower back, glutes and hamstrings are working way harder than just holding a weight. The added pressure on the heels creates more intramuscular tension. ⚡️ PERFECT PUSH-UP chat ⚡️ anyone ever done a push up and basically feel your hips hit the ground while your arms barely bend? yeah I’ve been there 🤦🏻‍♀️ . - WELL. a push-up is a functional, total body movement that, when done correctly, is really good for increasing strength with the extra benefit of engaging the lower body and core. - Here are some common mistakes and how to fix them : ✖️sagging your butt & arching your back - tighten your glutes and legs and press your chest to the ground first to keep your hips and shoulders in the same plane . ✖️ flaring you arms . - instead of letting your arms form a “T” , try to tuck in your elbows to about a 20-40 degree angle to ya torso . ✖️only going halfway down . -reach full range of motion by getting chest as close as possible to the floor & fully extend your elbows at the top . ✖️ pushing your forehead to the ground . -hold your neck in a neutral position by picking a spot on the floor a little bit ahead of your gaze to stare at a point a couple feet in front of you . - I’ve really been working on my form and found these tips to be helpful so hopefully they can help y’all 💪🏻 I also added this move into my #fullbody workout yesterday, so if you want that workout, just tag a friend below and I’ll message it to ya! ♥️ happy monday guys! #runnerredeemed #trainertips at Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios

Surround yourself with people who lift you higher. ✨ It’s only 10AM and I have already had two encounters by co-workers who lifted my spirit today. ✨ The first was around my outfit — she said “dresses, pants... it doesn’t matter, you’re always put together so well.” It was unexpected and so sweet. ✨ The second was when I was filling my water up — she asked “are you getting nervous?” Do you know how much that means to me that people at BAYADA are acknowledging how much this marathon means to me on Sunday. She continued to engage with me and really lifted my spirits. ✨ That happens a lot here at BAYADA — and for every compliment I receive, I always pay it forward. ✨ Surround yourself with positive people and engaging environments. ✴️Trainer Tip Time!!✴️ I know it’s been a while but I’d like to get back to doing more training posts to help shed light on common exercise mistakes and also share some modifications and alternate exercises to your usual routine that can help function while maintaining a safe and healthy body! . Today’s tip is for #bicepcurls, one of the exercises I see done improperly very frequently. . Often times we will pick a weight that is too heavy (sometimes too light) but for the video purposes I’ll stick with the heavier selection. . It’s crucial to pick the appropriate resistance for the exercise, to avoid joint and tendon injuries that can set you back weeks and even months in your training goals. . During Dumbell curls, you want to isolate your biceps, so ensuring you are able to perform the repetition through the full range of motion without flaring your elbows, rounding or elevating your shoulders or leaning forward is crucial to keeping other muscle groups from overtaking the movement and reducing the effectiveness of the exercise. . Also being sure the weight isn’t so heavy that you have to drop the resistance quickly (which could potentially cause you to hyperextend your elbows-not good for tendons and connective tissues) is an important factor to consider! . Never feel like you’re hitting your hamstrings on stiff leg dead’s with a barbell? Or unsure if your form is correct? Try doing single leg stiff leg deadlifts with a dumbbell. It’s also good to switch it up sometimes and do single leg movements to insure each leg is doing equal work. You may have to pick a lower weight to start with this exercise because it incorporates balance and core engagement. Focus on going slow and controlled on the way down and bringing the dumbbell close to your leg and then explode up squeezing through your hamstrings and glutes 💪🏻🍑 at Crunch Fitness FH
