My vegan story ๐ŸŒฑ PART 2 (deutsch in den Kommentaren) So I already talked about my struggles when I first went vegan. I did overcome them. But did I just get used to all those โ€œboringโ€ salads or did I actually gain something from that new lifestyle? ๐Ÿค” Well, veganism definitely changed my physical and mental health. I have always had a terrible immune system. Headaches, ear infections, angina, acne, neurodermatitis and chronic digestive issues were a part of my whole childhood and youth. My diet was pretty โ€žnormalโ€œ. Now of course it would be a lie if I said a vegan diet cured all that. Because a diet consisting of potato chips, coke, fast food and sweets can be vegan as well. But with veganism I personally became more aware of what I put into my body in general. In the end I realized that not only refined sugar, salt and processed foods are terribly bad for me, but meat, eggs and especially dairy as well. I have definitely had to modify a lot of my leg and glute workouts since finding out I was pregnant ๐Ÿคฐ๐Ÿฝ. ....................................................... Here are three of my current favourites which I have modified to take off pressure from my belly and also lower back. I have found in the second trimester my lower back gets quiet sore if I go to heavy on leg day (it is also from my hips also widening). So I have modified my glute kick backs using just my booty band. I find I can also get a really good squeeze just using the BOOTAY band instead of cable kick backs. ........................................................ To take pressure off my stomach I have taken out all barbell and smith machine hip thrusts and replaced them with dumbbell. I make sure to place the dumbbell on the top part of my thighs rather then my stomach. So I donโ€™t squish monkey ๐Ÿ’. And I have been LOVING โค๏ธ super setting these with banded glute abductors. ........................................................ I have been adding in a lot more bodyweight and banded work over machines. And doing more exercises seated rather then standing and also I have dropped my weights a lot and going for lighter weight, higher reps to really feel the burn ๐Ÿ”ฅ. So far I am still working out at least 4 days per week @ 1hour sessions, with a outdoor walk once a week. Which I feel is a perfect level for me and where I am currently at in my pregnancy ๐Ÿคฐ๐Ÿฝ #20weeks ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ at Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia

This post is for those who have struggled with weight and body image, here is my message to you: . . I want you to listen carefully please. For years and years I have gone up in weight, and down, and up, and down. Whatever point you find yourself at along that path know these two things. 1.) You cannot get off the path, it is stuck with you and you with it. Why is this important? because your body is there for you always, when you wake up and hate the world it is there to give you that experience unerringly, and if you decide to love the world the next day, it will always obediently listen and keep your heart beating, your lungs breathing, it is never a good Idea to hate that body, no matter what shape it may provide at that moment. At my heaviest in 2011 I had a very negative view of my body. I hated it to be honest. But with age you learn things, and I learned how far off I was. That same year I had my first child, and that same hated body obediently gave me every memory and moment I will have of that experience, and is going to try to keep them intact as best it can until my heart seizes. How could I hate something like that? But if you find yourself hating your body, see if you can find all that it has done for you, all the good will start crowding out the bad, and I get that it feels uncomfortable to face that fact, I know that there is in all of us an addictive quality to feeling hatred towards things. Just know that you don't have to, it won't be easy, and won't feel good at first to stop, but try and think about every cell division, respiration, heart beat, long term memory creation, muscle contraction, eye blink, injury repair and so on that you didn't even have to think about, this kind and ever wise vessel that carries you around through life and allows you to experience this cosmos in full color. Try not to hate this entity, it only serves to oppress it. . and lastly 2.) Assume full responsibility for every event, decision and circumstance you find yourself in. Responsibility and accountability to the highest order, mowing down excuses and pity in the wake of this mode of thought. DO THIS MY FRIENDS AND YOU WILL CONTROL THE PATH.

365 day transformation. Making a year look like I just ate some food ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™ˆ Seriously though Iโ€™ve gained close to 20lbs (140lbs Oct 20th 2017 vs 158lbs Oct 20 2018) and look a lot better for it! Donโ€™t cut down too lean if youโ€™re in your first 2years of training, itโ€™s not worth the gains youโ€™ll lose and youโ€™ll be spinning your wheels. Makes me more patient/accepting towards others and myself. 3. Makes me put things in perspective. 4: Teaches me how to focus for longer periods of time, which is key in competition. . 10 minutes a day is enough to feel the results after 1 week ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป. CARDIO๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ Vs WEIGHTS ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ. On the left is me when I first went vegetarian a typical cardio bunny ๐Ÿฐ and under eating. I would only really do treadmill and HIIT style workouts anything to get me SWEATY. If I didnโ€™t walk away from my session dropping in sweat and out of breath, then it didnโ€™t count. 2 years later I now only train WEIGHTS ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ with minimal/ accidental cardio. ............................................................ I found I could still drop body fat percentage but also sculpt, shape and tone my body. HIIT and cardio will shred you quicker yes. But you will find it A LOT harder to build muscle, shape and tone your physique. Lifting weights WONT make you bulky. If you are eating the correct macros and calories for your goals you can achieve amazing results, while also building a stronger mind set. Donโ€™t be afraid to get in that dumbbell section girls and show the guys how itโ€™s done, because trust me they are way more intimidated by a female lifting weights ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ. at Gold Coast, Queensland

After I found my balance with nutrition in 2013, I had a good base to start building up some muscle mass. - ๐Ÿ”นI did it progressively by doing a few clean bulk and increasing my lifting loads , decreasing my cardio and adding more weight training and compound lifts. - ๐Ÿ”นSince 2016 to now my weight fluctuated in between 136 to 138 pounds. I gained 18 pounds of muscles mass.๐Ÿ˜ Since 2016 i have been maintaining my body goal. ๐ŸŒฑBeen Vegan now for over 6 months and still able to maintain my muscle mass with a better recovery after training. - How I did it? I added more calories to my meals each day. About 200 to 300 more calories to my maintenance weight. โ—๏ธHealthy calories, good carbs, protein and fat. I eat 6 small meals, and all of them have high quality protein. No junk, only 1 to 2 cheat meals per week. After each workout session I refeed my body right away, remember you have a 45min window after your training to eat before your start to deplete in your glycogen store. - ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ Train with me Online! Itโ€™s crazy how much one year can change you. A year ago I was a vegetarian so I wasnโ€™t eating animal flesh, but I just made up for the meat I would eat with dairy. I was still contributing to cruelty and I didnโ€™t know it . I was the heaviest I had ever been, I was anxious, depressed, overweight, and my body wasnโ€™t working the way it was supposed to . Going vegan completely changed my life. I lost weight and have maintained a healthy body weight without even trying, Iโ€™ve fallen in love with healthy and new foods I never thought to try, my anxiety is manageable through my diet and cbd oil, Iโ€™m no longer depressed, my skin cleared up, and I can feel my body thanking me everyday for feeding it the food it needs .
