Her installation will be located at the Kolva - Sullivan Gallery in January. KS Brewer’s interdisciplinary work integrates time-based technologies with installations and sculptures in order to translate the effects of trauma into empathic, multi-sensory experiences. Combining her extensive cross-cultural study of the psychology, neurology, and politics of trauma with historical and contemporary depictions of women, she manipulates her mediums in interactive and immersive ways in order to provoke an emotional reaction in participants. Past works include audio-visual installations, animatronic sculptures, and live action and stop motion videos. KS holds a B.A. in Film & TV from NYU Tisch. She has exhibited at The Border Project Space, Trestle Gallery, Wallplay, Chashama Gala, Aggregate Space Gallery, and Flux Factory, among others. Past honors include residency at ChaNorth, participation in Trestle’s Critical Feedback Program and NY Crit Club, and publication in Forbes, Musée, and Ravelin Magazine. She is the curator of STAG: The Illicit Origins of Pornographic Film at the Museum of Sex in NYC.

'Manshaped Moon' . Work in progress ( still loads to do). . This is being developed in plaster! I is an enlargement of a maqeute I have done, but with a few changes. The title is from a poem by Welsh Poet Dylan Thomas, ( my favourite poet) so this is inspired Dylan's poem together with a childhood memory of when my Aunty said to me (pointing to a big full Moon) 'can you see the man in the Moon'. I was mistakenly looking for a whole figure of a man.
