Felt so good that such things were not being freely left in the river but were blocked at a nearby turn. I love flowers and our culture but not at all at the expense of dirtying the "holy" river. Also amazing was the fact that there was no litter being thrown in river ( haha, yeah, it's a surprise) and the pavements along the river being made are green and clean! 💚 Change is good. I seldom come across arguments against the government or police forces, where people claim how those two are destined to not work in my country. But, having worked for the government, I beg to differ. Normally, every plan is made with various considerations about the diverse population we have. It is challenging to think of rational plans without considering the ethnic groups concerned. Because plans must be implemented by those very people, at the end. Doing a small logical move becomes so complex when a number of cultural groups are involved. The pessimist view of citizens is the last thing to count on. I'm not saying it is invalid. Ofcourse not. The despair exists because of past experiences. But, I must say that there is more work being done by any government, at any level, than is acknowledged. Lack of awareness and communication and miscommunication is poisonous. Support your local governments and take benefits of government schemes and help people around your house take these too. Healthcare schemes, voters verification, improvement in poling booths etc. (What I did in 20 days that I'm here), even called up the ECA to complain about bugs on their website which they later fixed. Nevertheless, don't stop questioning and critiquing :) and if that's not enough, go work for the country. It's crazy hard from what I can imagine. India is the largest democracy of the world and one of the most challenging ones. Coming back after long made me realise how wild my country is. 「適材適所」 先日、ある芸能人のトークライブに行ったときに話されていたことなんどけど 「子供の頃に美術の時間に描いた絵を学校の先生に下手だと言われクラスの笑い者にされた、それ以降、絵を描くのが嫌いになった、でも大人になってから思った、画家になれなくて先生になったおまえに絵の評価をされたくないわ!」 って内容だったんだけど まず先生は生徒の評価をして点数を付けるのが仕事、だけど1人の生徒を棚に上げてイジメるような先生どやさw まぁ先生もストレス溜まってたのかもしれないし、人間そんな時もあるよね (天然かもしれんけどw) しかしそのいっときの感情の発言が生徒の心を傷つけ、時には思いもよらぬトラウマを生み出すことにもなるかもしれない これは別に先生と生徒という関係においてだけでなく親子あったり友達同士でもね さて、ここからが本題です 人にはそれぞれに適材適所、向き不向きがあって めっちゃ絵が好きで上手いから画家になったって人もいれば めっちゃ絵が好きで上手いんだけど画家には向いてない、だけど人に絵を教えるのめっちゃ上手い! って人もいるわけですよ (まぁさっきの先生の場合は先生としてもどうかと…) そーいや、天才って言われる人は自分のパフォーマンスって勝手にできちゃうからやり方なんてわかんない、だから教えるのが下手とか言われてますよね んじゃ先生とかって教えるのが上手いそこそこの人が教えてるわけかw 野球大好きで打つ、投げる、守る全部上手いけどコミュニケーション能力無くて団体競技苦手でプロ野球選手なれない(まぁ全然なれないことないだろうけど、ピンチヒッターとか?)とかね だから全部を満遍なくやろうとしないで大丈夫なんですよ いちいち出来ないところを見て無理にうまくやろうとしなくても、それぞれの得意なところを見てれば あとなんか氣分がのらないんだったら別にやらなきゃいいしw いーや!それでもやったほうがいい!っていう選択もいいと思う、そこに学びもあるだろうから けどなるべく やったほうがいい より やりたい ほうを選べばそこにはあんまりストレスは無い方だと思います まぁそこに周りからの評価の眼がついてくるから、それに心を振り回されて本質を見失うってことがよくあるね、ってゆーかほぼそれw やりたいほうが無ければ…まぁなんとなくやったほうがいい、ってほうで🙆‍♂️ なんもやりたくないってんなら…まぁ別にやらなくても🙆‍♂️ (自己責任で) #piro #hirokimaruyama #スピリチュアル #spiritual #悟り #サマーディ #samadhi #瞑想 #meditation #yoga #ヨガ #ヴィパッサナー #vipassana #house #housemusic #housedance #love #愛 #rootstock #ルートストック #powerstone #パワーストーン #天然石 #マクラメ #macrame #vegetarian #ベジタリアン #vegan #ヴィーガン #シェアお願いします

I have passed Vipassana. 10 days of meditation, 10 hours a day. Living in very humble conditions and noble silence. I was nervous that I wouldnt be able to do it, but I did. I was addicted to escape in the form of distractions (namely Facebook), pleasures, and intoxicants. I wouldn’t say that I was ever a serious drug addict or alcoholic, but I certainly sought out substances to numb or dull my emotions whenever I felt it necessary to. Sometimes I’d go through periods of excessive self medication. I was slipping into the abyss of depression and anxiety. This year, I finally found the road out of that space through vipassana meditation. Now that I’ve found my center, I am finding success at repairing the parts of my life that have become tattered along that previous path, and developing new healthy habits that will propel me onward and upward. Everything is falling into place. Finally. I wish every single one of my friends and loved ones who are struggling so much peace and good will. I hope that you find a way out too. VIPASSANA🌱☀️ 10 days of silence 10 hours of seated meditation per day Vipassana is the oldest Form of meditation which Buddha practiced to get enlightened. You can join wherever in the world a course for free (donation based system). You live like a monk in really basic accommodations with amazing local food. What do you do during the course? Focus on how things really are-observing sensations with the objective to solve all the knots in the mind. Continuity of efforts is the way to success. More details in the schedule😉 How do you feel? It was intense journey. Solving knots in the mind and following physical pain you might feel in the hips are shoulders lead to the roots of all miserables inside of you. Your mind may also ask you life questions😉the deeper you observe your sensations. Coming out of the meditation course, I feel way lighter and more stable, less effected by stressful situations etc. Being silent? Yes, 10 days of silence and no phone. I actually enjoyed it a lot. Your mind will keep you busy anyhow😇 and you have a tight schedule so no time to worry or be bored. What you do it again? Yes, the thing about Vipassana is - it is a lifestyle, so if I take it serious I should meditate now daily for 2 hours 1 hour morning and 1 in the evening. I will try to find my way to implement it weekly. Purpose? I really liked the idea behind the vipassana. Life a purposeful life. Tell the truth, act responsible, be happy💛may all of you be happy Can you recommend it? I can highly recommend it. It is good for everybody from people suffering from addictions to people being stucked in busy life. May you all be happy💛

Follow us @medteacher19 for more updates After another long Meditation session this morning 🧘🏻‍♂️ sitting peacefully in a state of presence, I read a few more pages of the Bhagavad Gita. The book contains scriptures that date back more than five thousand years. In the book we are taught about the Atma - the true self within by the divine teacher, Krishna. The divine Krishna teaches us that we must let go of the need to be right or wrong, judgement, blame and to stop creating pain in ourselves and for others, which leads to greater suffering.. it teaches us to be present and appreciate the life, the unchanging true reality - the Atma. As the Atma is never destroyed only realised after letting the mind and ego go! I recommend this. Too often we live as a prisoner of our own habit patterns – of mind and of body. I attended my first 10-day silent meditation retreat 4 years ago. It was held at a camp in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Besides the awareness, connectedness to myself, and crisp, fresh mountain air, there was, of course, the stars. — That first morning at 4:15am as I stumbled to one of what would become many 2.5 hour-long meditation sessions, I looked up and was dumbfounded. So many stars! Stars that my logical mind knew were always there, but had been tricked into forgetting due to living so long near a city where a paltry spattering of celestial bodies passed for “The Sky.” — But this sky was real. This sky was magnificent. This sky reminded me why I had wanted to be here in the first place: To step outside of myself, to experience the world, and to understand and accept it exactly as it is. #thepullofgrace . . . I suffered from depression for many years. I thought it was an intrinsic part of me, but thanks to the work I’ve done I feel only the occasional resurfacing of the black dog, usually attached to a specific incident or thought rather than as a general rule. In fact, overcoming the depression motivated me to do what I do now.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ If you are feeling low one of the most effective ways of changing your state of mind and rewiring your neural pathways is to develop a gratitude practice. I know this is common advice but a neuroscientist I admire explained it well when he said: if you wake up in the morning and remind yourself of all the things you are angry about you will reinforce those neural pathways and sit in anger all day, but if you wake up in the morning and think of things that make you feel good you will reinforce those neural pathways and sit in happiness all day. Deze zomer reisde ik af naar het zuiden van Frankrijk en leverde mijn telefoon in. Een week mediteren in stilte en in de natuur. Minder spreken en meer voelen. Waar kijken veranderde in zien en waar doen veranderde in ZIJN. Altijd bezig met de toekomst: zo meteen, straks, later. Of melancholisch verlangen naar hoe het ooit was, maar niet genieten van wat nu is. Het lijkt onschuldig, maar dit verzet tegen het huidige moment zorgt voor lijden. En hier had ik last van. Jezelf bewust worden van het huidige moment, daar is waar onbegrensd geluk zich bevindt. 10 дней тяжёлой работы, 10 часов медитации в день, 2 тюбика репеллента от комаров. Я вернулась с первой своей випассаны по Гоенке в традиции Саяджи У Ба Кхина. Или вернулась не я? Или не вернулась? 4 раза переписываю текст, потому что, во-первых, немного разучилась разговаривать. Во-вторых, такой тишины и при этом полноты ощущений у меня не было на самом ретрите. Как раз в эти 10 дней мой ум скакал припадочной обезьяной и изрыгал потоки идей и фраз для постов. И вот на тебе, тишина. Надо бы, хотелось бы много чего рассказать про технику, честно описать свой опыт, поделиться и передать, вдохновить, предостеречь, повеселить. Да нет, не надо. И не хочется особо. Ничего. Ещё пару дней назад я ждала момента, чтобы выдать постов эдак 5 о випассане. Сейчас с трудом пишу один, надо ведь как-то расписываться. Завтра, быть может, напишу 10. Всё течёт, всё меняется, возникает и распадается согласно единому закону Дхаммы, закону Вселенной, закону непостоянства. Дхамма крутится, события мутятся, знаете ли.
