“Teton Barns” – Hope you’re not tiring of the Tetons, because tonight I’m posting yet another photograph from this incredible national landmark. . These barns are a part of the Mormon Row Historic District, a group of structures that sits adjacent to the property on which Moulton Barn stands. . This area is fascinating and highly photogenic. I recall this evening in particular, because there was a professional photographer leading a workshop of about 15 people at Moulton Barn. You just knew a really nice sunset was in the making, but this photographer only spent about 30 minutes at this location, and I heard him quickly hurry his students into the van to rush off and hit several more stops. He did all of this just as the light was getting good. . As you can see, the sunset was marvelous, and I fear the van, with its students stuck helplessly inside, were driving while I was shooting. . Photo Tip: Sunsets are hit or miss, but don’t get greedy. If you are some place nice, don’t rush off and risk missing everything. Walk around to see if there are additional compositions, such as of these barns, which are less commonly photographed. Make the most of the moment you’re given. . . . #havecamerawilltravel #werutah #nikonusa #ontheroad #phototips #phototip #photographytips #wyoming #wyominglife #landscape_hunter #werutah #landscapephotography #landscape_captures #landscape_photography #landscapecaptures #world_shotz #worldshotz #grandtetons #master_shot #master_shotz #wyomingexplored #tetons #exclusive_shots #master_pics #tetonnationalpark #visitwyoming #wyoming #thatswy #usinterior at Grand Teton National Park

Mormon Sunrise I was out the door before 6am. I showed up and there was already a crowd of photographers with tripods and fancy time lapse and stabilizers equipment I have never seen before. They were ready. As the sun was coming up and graced the peak of Grand Teton, I turned back and photographed this moment just as the sun rays hit the field right behind the Moulton Barn. It was incredible. #mygrandteton #visitwyoming #wyoming #grandtetons at Mormon Row Historic District

As we grow up, it becomes less important to have a ton of friends, and more important to have real ones. 👫👭👬 #peopleofjacksonhole . . . . . Who you choose to spend your time with shapes you. Surround yourself with positivity, love, smiles and laughter. In life we learn. Every so often you can look back and see the lessons that life threw at you. At the time it could have been painful and sad but you became a stronger human and it helped you realize what's important. When I was younger I always thought if I had a lot of friends then I'd be happy. If someone didn't like me I would do everything to find out why and to try and mold myself into whatever they needed me to be in order to be their friend. I am so thankful I don't think that way anymore. I don't have tons of friends. I have lots of acquaintances that if we spend time together I'm very grateful for because it could turn into a stronger friendship but I am also very happy with the people in my life that I love and trust. The people that would do anything for me as I would do for them. The people that won't talk smack behind your back but the ones that will call you even if it's nerve wracking to talk out a situation. My handful of friends are my dearest. They are my rocks when I need advice, empathy and motivation. They aren't afraid to tell me I'm being a Debbie Downer because I probably was and it was time to snap out of it. The people that matter will show up. They'll have your back. They'll cry with you when you're sad and when your abs are hurting because you've been laughing so hard. Keep those people close. It shouldn't be hard to be friends with someone. If you find yourself putting in so much effort and getting nothing in return - why would you even want that person in your life? Tell your friends how much you appreciate them. No matter where they are in the world because if you ever need them, they'll be there. 💕 at Wilson, Wyoming

There’s nothing quite like making the first tracks on a snow covered trail. The sky was grey and the Tetons were hiding behind clouds until about halfway around Jenny Lake when the sky opened up to reveal the most beautiful blue color I’ve ever seen. Mormon Row Panorama, Sunrise Happy Friday everybody!!! I wanted to change it up a little and give you something different then what I have been lately. So, today I am showing you a panorama taken shortly after sunrise on the famed Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park. I knew before I left the hotel parking lot that this location was going to be packed with people because it had been snowing on and off for the last 3 days and there really was no good light for sunrise or sunset. When I walked outside in to the chilly morning air and looked up in to the sky, I could see stars which meant it wasn't snowing, at least not yet anyway. So I scraped off the windshield the best I could and headed for Mormon Row in the dark. So, we don't have seat warmer's in our car here in NY, but we did in our rental SUV in Wyoming. So why did I say that?? Well, I had accidentally turned my seat warmer on high somehow, and after about 5 minutes in the car on our way to the barns, I felt my butt getting warmer and warmer, It felt like I had to GO... I can remember thinking, oh great, I am going to have to use a outhouse in sub freezing weather when we get to the barns. As I was telling April about my sudden onset, she said "do you have the seat warmers on?" and I said, I don't think so, I didn't turn mine on, and when I checked, I guess I did..... Oh what a relief that was. So, anyway, we made it in plenty of time to the barns and there was only one guy there with 2 students taking photos of this barn, but by the time the sun came up, I had made friends with about 15 other people. It seems like for photography purposes the best time to be at Grand Teton is from about 20 minutes before sunrise until no later than 2pm for landscape photos. Since it makes for a really long day to start at Teton Village and be out before sunrise I never stay out till sunset. After what was already a long day that started at 5:30am I was looking forward to a nice afternoon nap. But after looking up at the skies the clouds looked just thin enough for the skies to catch fire. It was a great show for about 20 minutes and then off to bed to crash hard. . . #gtnp #grandtetonnationalpark #grandteton #teton #tetonsunset #gtnpsunset #adamjewell #nationalparksphotographer #goparks #findyourpark #snakeriver #schwabacherlanding #sunset #sunsetporn #sunset_pics #visitwyoming #discoverwyoming #tetonmountains #wyomingrivers #rivers #reflections #jacksonwyoming #jacksonwy . . http://adamjewell.com/featured/schwabacher-sunset-reflections-adam-jewell.html

This is called Silex spring. It looks to me like an artists palette 🎨. The Fountain Paint Pot is named for the reds, yellows and browns of the mud in this area. The differing colors are derived from oxidation states of the iron in the mud. Yellowstone is the most unique park in the United States and every time I’ve gone it’s life changing. All the parks teach us so much about our beautiful Earth, Yellowstone more so than some others. That’s why it was our nations first national park. at Yellowstone National Park

I don't think I'll ever tire of posting photos from this place. I've found that for all the times I've fallen in love, more often than not it's with a place--or a feeling a place gives me--rather than a person or a thing. I have a crooked tattoo on my spine that I got when I was living in Thailand...it snakes down my back and I'm guessing the bamboo curved somewhere around where my scoliosis strikes. Anywho, despite its obvious imperfection, I love this tattoo. Translated to English it means "until we meet again". Thai people laugh when they read it because to them, it's the equivalent to "see ya later." In the end, I guess both work. I wanted something that reminded me that I don't want to travel to cross countries off a list or put pins in a map. I travel for a feeling. And if I get that feeling from one place, I'll keep going there again and again in the hopes that I'll experience that feeling forever. And, don't get me wrong, I'm always up for visiting new places, but if something calls to me, like this place did, then it's never goodbye...it's always "see ya later". PS this is not a staged photo...this is seriously just how awesomely cowboy Wyoming is. 😍 at Wind River Range

Fun Fact: I'm pretty scared of horses. I saw a girl get bucked off of one at camp as a kid. So, I here I am with this guy making small talk, in hopes we can become fast friends and he takes it extra easy on me. He did, and that was neat because the trail was pretty perdy.
