Simple but challenging football warm up drill. 👌🏻🔥⚽️ This will activate your muscle sensors that are working on improving body's sense of where it is in space (proprioception). It is great as I said to do it in a warm up after some initial dynamic stretches or light ball work. The clue is to feel were is the resistance coming from and training to push against it (in this case against my arm pressure) stick to the ground and move as less as possible. Try it yourself with a training buddy or a team mate! I have been asked a lot about my #workoutplans. Sadly, my workout plan is mostly situational and is driven by how I feel on the day. My plan is always structured around specific  #bodyparts;  remember  I told you I am into body beauty and not body building. I have decided that I need to be more disciplined in order to achieve at least a #ONEPACK in the next six months. The following will be my diet and workout plan: # # # # # # # # Diet Plan: Consume a minimum of one gallon of water each day. Eliminate most #sugary drinks and alcohol from my diet (this will be hard). Sleep a minimum of 6 hours a day. On Sunday and Saturday sleep for a minimum of 10 hours each day. Eliminate #pastries from my diet, these include cakes, buns, bread, patties,  etc. Eliminate rice and flour from my diet. Eliminate all fried #food, this include fried chicken, fries, dumplin, fritters, plantain, etc. Eliminate the following #meats from my diet; mutton, pork and beef. Consume at least one #salad each day. Consume a variety of boiled #groundprovisions each day - banana, sweet potato, yam, dasheen, pumpkin, etc. Consume lots of blended #fruits - banana, orange, grapefruit, apples, pear, melon, pine, etc. Consume at least one #proteinshake per day. I will add the fruits mentioned above to the protein shakes. # # # # # # # # Workout Plan: Run at least one 3k per week on the road or at the park. #Run and #walk for a minimum of 20 minutes before every workout on the treadmill. Workout a minimum of 4 times per week. Before every workout #warmup by running, walking or dancing and then follow up with 45 minutes of stomach exercises. Do at least one body type per day - leg, back, shoulder, biceps, triceps, chest, etc. Do longer #sets and #reps with less weight for the next  3 months. # # # # # # I told you some time ago that I have invest in a good  #workoutbook - The Men's Health Big Book of Exercises. GETTING OLDER?! . As we get older the common excuses start creeping up ... “its normal to feel aches and pains ...It’s normal to lose range of motion ....It’s normal for me to have to give up activities I love.. . Bull💩. . Just because it is “common” does not mean it’s normal. I bet you can look around you and find at least ONE person who is the same age or older that is still killing it at life playing the sports and doing the activities they love to do . Yes we live in a busy society where we spend most of our time sitting OR not using our bodies how the were intended and what happens is OVER TIME we lose the ability . This then leads to nagging aches and pains and instead of investing in our health we just stop doing the things we love because “well I’m just getting older and this is what happens” . I’m here to challenge that belief . If you take care of your body it will take care of you . Just because you may exercise a few times a week does not mean you are improving every aspect of your body . Let’s take soccer for example...there’s running, pivoting, kicking but does it work your shoulder, back, ankle, hips, arms etc through their full controlled range of motion..no. It’s good for the body but it doesn’t address everything we need to have a long healthy life . We put gas in our car but is that all we do to take care of our car? No. We need oil changes, tire rotations, monthly maintenance to keep that car safe and running for as long as possible . Our bodies need the same . Looking for short drills and routines that you can do daily to keep you in the game of life and moving well DM me. .
