I mightn't fit into many of my old outfits anymore, but I feel the happiest, and most confident, I've felt in yeaaaars. I used to tug at my dimples, rolls, cellulite, etc., etc., hoping I could pull it off, and be more like women you see in the movies. Well, now I'm the star of my own show! 💃🤩⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Whilst I do wanna lose weight, for the sake of my health, I'm learning to love myself, and embrace my imperfections, and that's a beautiful thing, lemme tell ya. Buuuut, I'm mindful of the fact that I bloody well love good food, and I'm not about to starve and punish myself for my indiscretions. 🍝 I'ma eat carbs if I wanna, I'ma eat a takeaway, and I'ma damn well enjoy it too. 😋⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Today, I'll mostly be getting the house straight to prepare for having gas fitters in. 🏡 We've been without central heating now for what feels like forrrrever, and I can't wait for it to be fixed. I weighed 7.11 which for my height of 5,7 was very underweight. At my smallest my waist was only 23 inches. In the second photo I weigh 8.5 stone and am more shapely and defined. I get bored of hearing the same self deprecating voice in my head, telling me all the things I can't do, and compiling evidence of times I've tried and failed, evidence to justify the thoughts. I've tried to recover before, and I couldn't fully achieve it. I have stopped weight gain after doing so well because I was scared of who I'd be, and scared of giving it everything and feeling no better. Bloody Nora Ive put on 2lbs in today’s at home weigh in 😢😢!! Also the state of Wednesday run!! Literally feel like I’m going backwards! It was such hard work that run I wanted to make 2 miles as was massively struggling towards the end then I get a call from the hubby @buzz5483 I’m thinking it was to do with the kids so I stopped my run and it was because he wondered why it was taking me so long as it was dark he was worried!!! But I have many regrets from that holiday. - 🙁All the amazing food that I didn't get to eat. ☹️All the friends I didn't get to make because I wasn't really drinking much booze. All so I could keep this lean thing going. - Know that when you look back at the small section of your life where you were lucky enough to have the time, the means and the health to travel you won't give a fuck about how lean you looked. You'll only care about the experiences and interactions you had☺️ Do you think that once you get lean all your problems will disappear? Sorry but they don't. recover for chocolate energy smoothies 🙌🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i’ve been wanting to trial this smoothie recipe i saw online a few days ago and haven’t had a chance to do it! today i thought for my morning snack i’d give it a go and see how it turns out ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i used half a cup of almond milk, 1 date, 1 frozen banana, 1 tablespoon of pb and 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder (mine has added stevia) 😫🤤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i could not recommend to you all a smoothie more than this one!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ so fkn good guys pls give it a shot, it’s so thick & creamy i literally had to use a spoon instead of a straw to eat it (which means it’s perfect for smoothie bowls) 🤩

i made choc chip cookies!!! i have not baked a “normal” treat like this in ages! this is the first time since pre-ed that i’ve made a yummy batch of chocolate chip cookies that don’t use oats as flour or mashed bananas as butter and sugar (which isn’t always a bad thing) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i made these delicious cookies from scratch using real, yummy ingredients like brown sugar, white flour, chocolate chips, butter & condensed milk 😋 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i call this a HUGE recovery win because using those ingredients is a really, really hard thing to do, especially when your ed has brainwashed you into believing that they are so unhealthy for you (which in case you didn’t know, is not true!!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i got the recipe from my food tech teacher last year and since then i’ve been meaning to have to make them, but today was the day i wanted to prove ana wrong that no food is going to hurt me as much as she will 🙅🏻‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ **(i put the recipe on my story and can be found in my recipe highlights)

happy sunday lovelies 🥳 this morning for breakfast i tried @nuttvia for the first time! and guys... if you’ve never heard of or tried nuttvia, you are totally missing out. nuttvia is an alternative to nutella (which DOES NOT mean nutella should be ruled out of your diet) as it contains more healthy fats and is a better choice when looking for a source of protein ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i bought a jar of this yesterday when i was out grocery shopping and i tried a spoonful of it with strawberries + raspberries this morning to top my oats and i’m beyond impressed 🤯🙌🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ in case you haven’t heard this already today, you are so strong & keep doing you! if today hasn’t gone well then please don’t give up, you are in control of your happiness 💖

good morning everyone! happy long weekend to all you living in melbourne rn, so looking forward to having 4 days off 🙏🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ as i just mentioned in my story, this is the first time i’m ever putting almonds into my yoghurt during recovery!!! pre-ed, nuts were a necessity in my yoghurt/scottie bowls bc they added protein, fats, crunch and bulked up my meal! i strongly avoided them in the height of my ed (we all know why...) so i thought, ya know what i’m just gonna chuck them into my breaky this morning bc WHY NOT?! there so yummy, one of the healthiest things a person can eat so why should i be avoiding this food? this food full of nutrients that’s going to fuel + nourish my body. i’m trying my best to incorporate my old fear foods into meals (even if it’s only a small amount) just so i can get used to them and eventually start putting them into my food like i do with my fruit ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i don’t want this caption to become to rambly and annoying but i would just really like to say, i’m SO proud of myself for how far i’ve come since the beginning of august when i was tip-toeing around increasing my cals, debating whether or not i hold onto the “control” my ed gave me, or let go of that control and freely live my life. at the beginning, i was scared of everything!! literally, everything, i would literally count the raspberries i’d put into my oats 😂 and now i just throw them in without the thought of calories even crossing my mind. i also used to be so scared of bananas, (too carby, high cal and all this other bs), and now i put bananas in everything 🤣 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ yes i do still count my calories, but that’s because it’s a habit that i’ve developed and i’m soon to break free of it ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ hope you all are having a great day so far and comment what you had for breakfast! i’m open to seeing what other breakfast ideas are out there bc i’d love to try new things!

sooo guys !! yesterday i put a poll on my story asking you guys what i should have for breakfast this morning. the first option was 2 slices of toast with an egg and spinach on each. the other option was two slices of toast with peanut butter AND banana. a lot of you guys will know and can probably relate to this, peanut butter became a really huge fear food during my ed. anyway, when i put the poll out, i already knew what i really wanted to have, and that was the pb and banana. not going to lie, my ed was secretly hoping that the eggs and toast would get more votes, however that wasn’t the case. the eggs got 6 votes while the pb got 17!!! that’s a HUGE difference! i knew i couldn’t disappoint not only all you guys who voted, but most importantly myself. i didn’t want to make a promise that i was going to have the choice with the most amount of votes and then chicken out. i’m so happy i challenged this massive fear food today and i can’t wait to have it again 😆 have a great day everyone 💛

happy sunday all! 💖 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i’m having pancakes for breakfast this morning!! (first time having actual pancakes using flour, sugar and milk in over a year!) 🥞🥞 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i really didn’t want to mention this as i wanted to keep this post as positive as possible. but, i just spent the last half an hour crying. i was crying because as i was cooking the pancakes for my family, i kept taste testing, licking the spoon and picking at the bowl of fruit i cut up. i guess i‘m still scared of eating too many calories, which really isn’t helping me to move forward from my ed behaviours, however i’m getting there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ a kind of weird habit/rule that i developed during my eating disorder was that i wasn’t allowed to eat anything during the cooking process until it was on my plate. i don’t know if that makes any sense but basically to put it into context, if i’m making pancakes for a few people, then until my plate is ready to eat, i’m not allowed to eat any of the batter or put any of the food on my mouth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ as i was cooking this morning, I made a seperate batch of pancakes for myself (using wholemeal flour and other ingredients), and the batter wasn’t working so i had to keep adding more milk and flour, which was hard for me as i couldn’t keep track of the calories from the ingredients that i was adding to my batch. because i added too much milk, my batter was too runny and didn’t cook properly so i had to throw it out. but because i still ate a lot of the raw batter while i was preparing them, it feels “pointless” because i ended up not eating them and throwing them out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ugh omfg i know this caption makes NO sense at all and it’s a whole bunch of word vomit but i really had to vent somehow... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🌜 hope you all have a great day 🌛

hey guyssss, i was going to post my breakfast in the morning but i had no time as i was getting organised for school. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i hope you have all had a fantastic day and if you’re feeling tense, anxious or stressed please take a moment to reconnect with yourself and focus on how you’re feeling. take 3 deep breaths and get back to whatever you were doing before. life can be so chaotic and busy that it feels almost impossible to take a minute to relax. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ schools been okay at the moment, with a few subjects i feel like i’m actually doing really well! i had a maths test that i did last week and i think i did pretty well 🤩 i haven’t gotten my grade yet so i don’t know for sure, but i’m certain i got a good one. i think that being in recovery has really helped me to start focusing on the important things in life right now (education, family, friends, interests), and not always food, weight + body image. recovery has helped me to value my education and get the most out of it while i can. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i have already talked about this before to a few of my followers on my story, but i think that recovering from an eating disorder has improved my concentration and focus skills, so therefore i’m doing really well in school as my brain is finally getting adequate nutrients to function and allow me to do well!! i look back on my semester 1 exams which were in June/July and i clearly remember sitting at my desk and feeling like i was going to collapse into my chair, because i had eaten so little, my body was freakin starving. of course, i brushed off this feeling at that time but you know what, had’ve that happened now, i would have gotten the attention of a teacher in our exam hall and ask to be excused. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ sorry for the super long caption but i really just wanted to talk to you all about how recovery is worth it, not just for a strong healthy body, but for a capable and functioning brain that will allow you to do your schoolwork as best you can. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ recovery IS worth it everyone, and every day that i wake up, i’m thankful for the second chance my body has given me at life, because it could have given up on me at any moment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨✨

yooo everyone 👋🏼 sorry i haven’t posted as much as i would’ve liked to, i have still been trying to keep up with school as you all know is really difficult ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ BUTTT this morning i absolutely conquered a food challenge! i had oats with cinnamon topped with PEANUT BUTTER, banana + blueberries 😱 for me this was such a huge step in recovery because nut butter is apart of my main fear foods (i don’t need to go into detail as to why, we all know) and today i woke up after had’ve eaten a lot of food last night to the idea of challenging a fear food! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i’m so proud of myself and in case you were all wondering... peanut butter on oats is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 👅 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ hope you’re all having an amazing day overseas or if you’re in Australia or NZ and just woken up, i hope your day ahead is a good one 💫

hey people! how has everyone’s morning/day/night been? personally my mornings been pretty good especially since it’s the weekenddddd 🙌🏼 so glad the first week of school is done, only 1 more term to go until the year is over !! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚠️⚠️⚠️PTW: information on how i used to eat during anorexia i wasn’t sure what i wanted to talk about today, as i feel like i’ve always got things on my mind that i don’t even know where to start 😂 today i really wanted to talk about “triggering foods”. for me, triggering foods aren’t ones that trigger a binge, but rather they remind me of how my diet used to be at the peak of my eating disorder. for example, for breakfast i would only eat 1 boiled egg, then at recess for school, i’d have a punnet of raspberries with 3 rice cakes, and for lunch i’d have a tiny spinach and ricotta sandwich. and that was ALL i would eat for that whole day until dinner (which would be a plain salad or another really gross ‘meal’) so for me, it’s like every time i eat these things (for example rice cakes), it triggers the memories i have of what i used to eat when i was severely restricting. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ it’s such a weird thing to think about though! like oh yeah i hate eating boiled eggs bc it reminds me of breakfast when I was restricting. it’s something i’ve been trying so hard to overcome the last few months in recovery because i get so much anxiety whenever i see a rice cake or the tiny bread i used to use for my sandwiches 😩 i hope this caption made sense because me reading over it is literally like reading a word vomit 😂 but i hope i’m not alone in dealing with this because i haven’t heard of the same thing happening to anybody else... let me know if you have had a similar experience and if you ever learned how to get over it ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ anyways, to end this on a positive note, also tell me what the best part about your day has been so far! or what you’re excited about for today) as much as it helps to hear about being experiencing the same troubles as me, it also helps for me to hear positive things such as the best part of your day and so on. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ hope everyone has/had a fantastic day wherever in the world you are and keep fighting 💪🏼💜

HAHHAA school mornings are so busy the last thing i remember is to take photos of my breakfast hahaha it was sooo yummy though! i cooked my oats then topped it with bananas, raspberries and blueberries 🍌 (my FAV fruit combo) ⚠️⚠️⚠️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ PTW: discussing weight gain below 👇🏼 also, i thought i might just add this in here because why not, i know it’s not the most positive thing to talk about but it’s a really common obstacle in anorexia recovery that should be talked about. i have been realty struggling with how to deal with weight gain. recently, i stepped on the scales to see how i was improving, and I had gained a whole kilo. obviously, this is a GOOD thing and weight gain is important in recovery, but i feel like that ED voice in my head is screaming at me telling me to lose weight to get back down to my lowest weight. as a result of this weight gain and the ED voice, i’ve lowkey been restricting a little bit and continuously listening to the voice telling me to always choose the lower calorie option with snacks. i was doing SO well for about 2 months and now that the weight gain has happened, i’m slowly falling back into ED. does anyone know what i can do to avoid a relapse? or how you guys have dealt with putting on weight? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ sorry for the huge caption but thankyou to anyone who’s made it this far, i appreciate anybody who can help me out because this is the hardest thing i’ve ever had to go through. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ have a great day/night everybody xo

good morning everyone! for breakfast this morning i made a 3 ingredient chocolate granolaaa! and put it with vanilla chobani greek yoghurt, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries & nectarines! 💜 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ RECIPE FOR GRANOLA: so i roughly just eyeballed the measurements for this (recovery win!) as you can use any amount of each ingredient as you like - a tablespoon of maple syrup or honey (about a squeeze) - 1/2 cup oats - 1 tablespoon cocoa powder • mix ingredients together and place on a tray lined with baking paper and bake for about 10 minutes (check on the granola every few minutes to make sure it isn’t burning) at 150°C or 300°F • use your hands or a fork to seperate the granola into clusters and let it cool down for about 5-10 minutes so it can harden • enjoy as is or use it as a topping for oats, smoothie bowls, yoghurt, pancakes, icecream, cereal & trail mix ☺️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ❁ a few things to keep in mind regarding recipe: - don’t use too much maple syrup or honey as the stickier the mixture is, the easier it will burn and won’t bake properly :( - oats and syrup are the main ingredients but of course you can add nuts or dried fruit to the mix

oats for breakyyy 😽😻 to be honest, i was actually really hesitant to have breakfast this morning, as i’m having a picnic with my cousins this afternoon with a lot of my fear foods and then going to my best friends place tonight (where we’re most likely going to eat a lot of my fear foods again). but NO, i didn’t listen to the ED voice in my head in my head telling me to skip it 💪🏼 hope everyone has/is having an amazing day xox

hey everyone! i’m feeling so liberated right now as i’ve just had a spontaneous snack! i ate breakfast at about 7:30 this morning (maybe even a bit later) and right now at 10:30am, 3 hours later, i made myself a bowl of yogurt with some berries because i was feeling a bit hungry. i was debating whether or not i should wait till lunch (in another half an hour) and stave off my hunger till then (have a cup of water or tea) or make myself something to eat for the time being. and guess what i did..!!!! i got myself some food by simply just responding to my hunger cues! even though i didn’t eat anything too “scary” or out of my comfort zone, i’m still so proud that even though i know i’m about to eat again soon, i ate something so i was satisfied. baby steps. 🙏🏼💖
