Making Kale chips today with Stella my 16 month old! We had a great day filled with going to the farmers market, playtime and park, then once I got her down to nap I snuck off to work on materials for my 4th class of my Virtual Ketosis program...four hours later (I got so sucked in as the content I am developing is so great!! It’s on determining if you should carb cycle and getting ample therapeutic foods in your Ketosis program...can’t wait to teach it and complete handoutsπŸ€—). By the time I got home we decided to do a quick relaxed dinner so we made kale chips in πŸ₯‘ oil, roasted garlic broccoli, and then heated grassfed brisket and chicken from the market! Such an easy nourishing meal AND Stella was able to really engage with the whole food process from the market, to making kale chips, to tearing the shredded πŸ”. Everything we made was from the market and was so throw together simple πŸ’ͺ a high fat low carb lifestyle can be so easy and crave-worthy and support successful sustainable results! And as you guys probably noticed, those windows for me are all about carbs. - 😴I load up pre and post workout. But when I'm not training, my diet actually looks something like this graphic here. I actually eat like this most of the time, and when I'm trying to lose fat, I'll eat this way almost every day. - πŸ₯’But atm on rest days I like to not only give my digestive system a break but also keep my insulin sensitivity in check. For these reasons I like to combine intermittent fasting, and when I do eat it's mostly whole and unprocessed foods. - πŸ₯—Most of the carbs I consume will come from mostly fruits, vegetables and complex sources. - 🍳Breakfast food is pretty standard. Poached eggs, a whole avocado, smoked salmon, tomato & spinach is a rest day special. - πŸ₯œI'll also have a couple of protein shakes a day & I'll throw in some coconut oil, peanut butter, chia seeds or occasionally all there. - πŸ₯•And then generally for dinner I'll usually cook up a pretty epic stir fry (often times meat free) but otherwise I'll grill up a bit of protein & smash as many greens as I can. - πŸ€“Anyway I thought it was important to include this.
