Hogyan szoktam le a dohányzásról – Második rész Elfogadtam a gondolatot, hogy saját gyermek nélkül is boldog vagyok, mert nagyon sok embert teszek boldoggá, sokan szeretnek engem, és tartozom annyival nekik, hogy vigyázzak az egészségemre, és miattuk igenis egészségesebb és hosszú életet éljek. Ez volt a végső lökés, mely segített eldöntenem, hogy hagyjam abba a dohányzást. Még rendszeresebben kezdtem el sportolni, egészségesebb étkezési szokásokat alakítottam ki, és több minőségi időt töltöttem a számomra fontos emberekkel. Mindez időbe telt, lépésről-lépésre sikerült mindet kiviteleznem. Először nem dohányoztam többet a lakásban, aztán az autóban, majd napközben. Már csak az utolsó, legvégső lépés hiányzott. Végül elérkezett az utolsó cigaretta meggyújtásának pillanata. Még ma is élesen emlékszem rá, és az azt követő percekre. Teljes tudatossággal tettem, mert nagyon erős volt bennem a motiváció, és eltökélt voltam abban, hogy leszokjak a dohányzásról. Come ho smesso di fumare – Seconda parte E quindi ho accettato il fatto che anche se non avrò figli miei, ci sono tantissime persone nella vita delle quali porto felicità, mi vogliono bene, e per loro devo mantenermi sana e preservare la mia salute più a lungo possibile. Così ho deciso di smettere definitivamente di fumare. Ho cominciato in una maniera ancora più regolare fare sport, mangiare meglio e passare più tempo qualitativo con le persone importanti per me. Ci voleva tempo, ho cambiato tutto passo per passo. Negli anni precedenti ho già smesso di fumare in casa, in macchina, poi durante la giornata. Mancava solo l’ultimo passo. Ed è arrivato il momento di fumarne l’ultima, che mi ricordo ancora oggi. L’ho fatto con la massima consapevolezza, perchè avevo una motivazione forte ed ero determinata di voler smettere. Okay, let's be clear first! _ Times of great challenge and adversity suck BIG-TIME. I am not going to sugar coat this. _ The awful feeling in the pit of our stomach, the wakeful nights, the confusion between head and heart. The wishful thinking that someone would apear with a magic wand to take it all away, to tell us what to do. The feeling that there isn't a solution, a' way out. _ BUT - Experiencing times of challenge, experiencing stress and adversity is a big part of life. So, we might as well get as comfortable as we can with the uncomfortable. _ These times do shape our character and are the ultimate examiner in how we are using the space between stimulus and response. _ Challenge and adversity give us the ultimate opportunity to learn and expand. However, they also open us to a place in which we can step into fear, blame, absolute confusion and constriction. _ This is ultimately about a mindset shift. A shift in cognitive perspective. And one we can only achieve when we choose to move through these times consciously. _ Consciously doesn't mean moving through the challenge without the pain - it's more about accepting that the pain is part of the deal in being human. It's about finding a healthy and supportive way to move through the challenge knowing that THIS TOO SHALL PASS. _ If you are going through a rough time, can you use challenge, stress and adversity as an opportunity to learn and grow and to understand yourself at a deeper level? _ To use the experience consciously. To seek support and help. To talk about what you are feeling. To take off the mask and allow yourself to be supported, to be vulnerable and validated in your struggle. _ REACH OUT. ASK FOR HELP. It feels weird sharing what I've been working on especially in light of current events. While we are processing, mourning, healing, recovering... we still need to take care of ourselves. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I believe in putting good vibes out and I want to share something inspirational with you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Over the last year or so of coaching I've noticed a trend among my clients. They want to follow a healthy lifestyle but aren't able to stick with it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This month I wanted to share a little inspo around "catching all the feels". It's easy to become overwhelmed by the commercialized version of what a health lifestyle looks like.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So when the feelings of "I don't have time for all that" or "my kids are always around" or my personal favorite "I can't eat like you do" come up, it gets really easy to stay where you are.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But all of those are excuses. Most likely tied to the fact that you just don't want to live that life bad enough. I know this because I was there.
