#iceicebaby Take a deep breath. Exhale. Repeat. . I used to be a toe dipper when it comes to cold showers or lakes. Today, every single day starts with an icecold shower for me. Why this change? I had a special experience about 2 years ago. . Accidentally, I ended up at a workshop that was about mindset, flow, the power of the body and hacking the immune system. There I got familiar with the ‘Wim Hof Method’ with its three pillars #breathe #coldtherapy and #commitment. After only 20mins of breathing exercise, I was able to sit in an freezing cold swimming pool as if it had been a hot tub. . Surprised by what my body was able to do and by how centered, relaxed and still fully energized I felt, I kept the daily breathing exercise and cold showerin up. I can recommend it to everyone for several reasons: * Afterwards you are fully awake, no coffee needed * By consciosly breathing and feeling the cold water running down your body, you train your body awareness * You live the moment - your brain doesn’t have the capacity to think * It’s a nice feeling to get out of the shower since the air is warmer than the water * You are more resistant to coughs and sneezes * You’re an approved freak - who wants to be normal anyway? . Stress and anxiety is something that everyone of us is facing. On the days I’m low I seek the way out, trying to understand what caused the low and work to get over it. On the days I’m high I feel temptation of holding onto this state and have to remind myself that this moment, same as any other, is fleeting. - No matter how much Stoicism, Taoism or Buddhism philosophical ideas I assimilate it is still on the level of cognition. I still get caught up in ups and downs. Maybe it’s just wiring of my brain. Maybe it's just what minds are programmed to do - make sure we are surviving. - One thing that has worked for me better than any other, helping me to step aside from being caught up in this fluctuation. Not trying to to fix or control it but simply observe and accept it as it is. ❄️⚡️Cold Challenge🚿🚿 21 dagen koud afdouchen?? Yes, I did it 🔥 De #icequeenpower sessie gaf mij de motivatie om door te pakken en aan het koud afdouchen te beginnen🚿 Inmiddels zijn we 32 dagen verder & word ‘t eigenlijk al een routine om het douchen af te ronden met ongeveer 20/30 seconden koud afdouchen. Ik kijk er inmiddels zelfs een beetje naar uit 😯 omdat ik mezelf na het koude water altijd lekker warm kan afdrogen, haha. Maar ook omdat het voor mijn gevoel de stress van de dag wegneemt 😴 waardoor ik weer super lekker kan slapen of de dag ontspannen kan beginnen ❄️ De Cold Challenge die ik deed, is van @verie.nl Zij heeft mooie informatieve digitale werkboeken gemaakt om je drie weken lang te begeleiden. #Protip: Using either hot or cold temperatures shocking our bodies into resetting and grounding ourselves (in non harmful ways) can be surprisingly effective at helping to regulate intense emotions. I’ve been getting back to taking cold showers after Wim Hof breathing. Or taking a cold shower after the sauna also works for me, especially on particularly stressful days. Even just taking an ice cube and rubbing it on your forehead, temples, neck, and different parts of your body, can work wonders for alleviating headaches, overall grumpiness, and anxiety, among other things. The point is to shock your body into resetting itself, especially when rest for whatever reason is not possible (like if you’re too anxious to sleep, for example). If you need something extra, you can even try to go for a short drive, roll the windows up, and let out a big old juicy primal scream straight out of your belly. Point is to work all of that excess energy out of your body. And then jump in a cold or hot shower. Just experiment with what works for you, and develop a routine that you can go back to when things feel too intense. Hope this helps mi gente. You got this ✊🏽 & just remember that whatever you may be feeling is always only temporary, even if it feels like it is swallowing you up at the moment. Nothing in our world lasts forever. Wyjście na bieganie w moim niezbyt kompletnym stroju przy temperaturze około +1°C? Żaden problem, zero dyskomfortu, po kilkuset metrach jest mi najnormalniej w świecie ciepło. Choć oczywiście komfort jest tylko, jeśli chodzi o temperaturę, bo już kwestia tego, że ktoś widzi moje podskakujące wałeczki tłuszczu już tak komfortowa nie jest. 😉 Cóż, trudno ukrywać, że nie jestem fanem własnego ciała. Wiem, wiem, tu się ciągle pokazuję "na golasa", więc można by odnieść całkiem odwrotne wrażenie. Może to taka dodatkowa forma autoterapii? Grunt, że teraz już tylko nie jestem fanem, kiedyś było gorzej, więc może to działa. A z rzeczy ważnych: już bardzo niewiele dzieli mnie od momentu, gdy przynajmniej 3 km będę w stanie przebiec w tempie poniżej 6 min/km! 😊 😊 😊 No i najważniejsze - już czwartek, mały piątek! Bawcie się dobrze! 😊 ============ Going out for a run in my completely not complete clothing when it is only +1°C outside? Not a problem at all, just few hundred meters and I feel warm! Though there is still a problem when someone lurks at my jumping rolls of fat, this is much of a different story. 😉 I can hardly hide not being a big fan of my own body. I know, I know, most of my photos here show me "naked" which may give you quite a wrong impression. Maybe it is just another kind of an auto therapy? However now I am just not a big fan, it used to be much worse, so maybe it really helps. More important matters - I am very close to being able of running minimum 3 km in a pace below 6 minutes per kilometer! 😊 😊 😊 And the most important - today's Thursday, means it's a small Friday! I came a long way. I have totally transformed my health. As a baby i was born 10 pounds! Boy was rolling, my feet werent feet but wheels. pillsbury was in awe of me! I used to eat emotionally. Yeah I'm a foodie meaning I love tastes, flavors, natural foods, healthy, delicious meals that nourish my cells. But it wasnt like that I used to eat anything especially fried, sugary, or COCA COLA. oh yeah. I wasnt aware of acidity/alkalinity and no wonder I kept unconsciously going back over and over to the same foods I was trying sooo hard to stop eating. I started really exercising when I was 14. I had negative self esteem. 5 foot and 130 lbs. though I worked out hard, I continued eating like shit and only got little results. Then I learned about insulin release and its link to fat storing vs fat burning mode. the longer I waited in between meals, the more fat I would burn. the more times we eat, insulin is released into the blood more and more taking us into fat burning mode. Long fasting, intermittent fasting, sobriety, cold exposure, strength training, calisthenics, yoga, and meditation as well as a whole food plant based and now RAW lifestyle allowed to start cutting fat FAST because my body was using way less energy to digest. Literally before, I could not even fully process the heavy meats, processed foods, dairy, they were destroying me (aside from the entire environment). I began to learn nutritional needs such as amino acids, all my vitamins and minerals, and began to put on muscle. I began juicing and started feeling energy boosts instead of lethargy after a meal. Yet I still had a last layer of fat. Going back and forth with the subconscious pulls in my body to go back to those cravings. It wasnt about the working out, I had that down pat. but, i have pushed past the mental, emotional, and physical psychological neural networks that I had linked to food. now I am 23- 5 foot 8.5 and 117 pounds today. LEAN.. and I begin a BULK with ample fruits, veggies, nuts seeds after an upcoming week of juicing after I finish my current dry fast. Currently around 28 hours in, feeling better than ever, clear, free, and PROUD of myself. I will never go back.

Every moment we are doing, we are feeling, we ARE. Like Wim Hof puts it, yes the cold has many benefits and we could bring alot of scientific facts. 🤪13.11. Ještěže neni pátek. I tak je ten poúplňkovej den intense 😳. A my do toho slavíme. Slavíme narozky mýho muže (přidala jsem ho do profilu tady na IG, protože je platným zakladatelem Play Everyday). . . Slavíme další etapu našeho vztahu. Víte, že celý léto a doba po narození našeho třetího Ajdama pro mě nebyla uplně ízypízy. Ale nějak se to zas poskládalo, nás to chvilkama vzdalovalo, ale nakonec zas sblížilo. Ufff. . . Dneska mi na cestách mezi poletujícíma vločkama a 💦💦 došlo, že nás nad vodou držela dost času i voda samotná. Ta studená žeano. Už vám to tu nějakou dobu sdílím. A sdílím to proto, že je to super vzpruha. Nejen pro jedince, ale i pro vztah. Našla jsem hodně způsobů, jak se poznávat. Jak jít do hloubky. Jak kráčet na cestě ke spokojenosti. Jenže málokterým byl otevřený i můj chlap. A já si tak nějak tajně přála, ať najdem něco, kde se můžem poznávat spolu. . . A to se stalo. Naše spolupráce mě vždycky bavila. Při plánování svatby. Samozřejmě i při tvorbě dětí. Ale další děti už nejsou téma 😂😂. Takže co to bude teď? Workshopy a ponory do ledový vody. Každej do toho vložíme něco. A moc nás to baví. A jako další level se těšíme na společný zážitky. Kdy to už nebude o nás, ale třeba o vás. Víc o wimhof workshopech tužení dávám do bio. . . A přeju krásnej zbytek dne 13.11. Užijte večír 😘😘😘 .
