Without coaching I would be 15 pounds heavier I wouldn't be able to a single pushup I would still be huffing and puffing up each flight of stairs I would never have finished a workout program I never could have had the dedication to work out while on vacation I wouldn't have the nest-egg of extra cash I am building for my honeymoon I would not have met some of my now-closest friends And I'd still be justifying to myself why I don't need to start exercising and eating healthy because I'm not thaaaaat bad. Grab a Bosu and perform each exercise for 45 seconds, then rest for 15 seconds, and repeat the circuit twice. I have been a bit quiet on here this week again as my little boy has been full of the cold this week and I have hurt my back. I am not sure how I did it but the last few days have been agony so I haven't been able to workout! 💫 I had planned to do some stretches tonight but unfortunately ended up in A&E with my boy and had a rather long wait before he was seen by a doctor! 💫 Sometimes life just doesn't go the way you have it planned. No point in stressing about it and things will happen! Tomorrow will hopefully be a better day!

Meet your #SurferStrong Instructors - @kiltyyoga “Aloha my name is KILTY KAIMANA INAFUKU. My belief is that what we do ON the mat is simply practice for what we do OFF the mat. How you talk to yourself, how you approach a challenging situation, how you receive, and how you do you anything in your mat practice is usually a direct reflection of what's happening in your everyday practice of life (the real yoga). I also believe that what you put is what you get out. Put positive thoughts into your mind, and it will respond to see the positive in other people and situations. Put good food into your body, and it will respond to fuel you how you want; after all, the gut is second brain, right? I grew up in Kaneohe, Hawaii but didn't find yoga until I moved to Los Angeles, California, where I was studying for my B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering at UCLA. I found that yoga was a great physical outlet and offered a mental release from the stress of school and the chaos of city life. Since then, I've kept it a staple in my daily routine and completed my Yoga Alliance 200HR teacher training under Jay Co and 300HR under Jason Crandell, amongst other inspiring teachers through workshops. When I returned home to O'ahu after graduation in 2011, I took on a staff engineering position with a local geotechnical company. And after a year in that role, I had a BIG realization that my PASSION IS YOGA. So... I quit. And, now, here I am as a yoga educator, SHARING WHAT I'VE LEARNED from others and from myself along this journey called life. With a steady practice, I've learned that yoga has so much more to offer than just a workout and study break.
