I forgot to update my 200m splits from the weekend! โญ•๏ธ TRACK WORKOUT: 12 x 200m Repeats with 2:00 minutes rest in between. โญ•๏ธ I ran each rep from 32.2 to 32.6 with 3 outliers being two 33.0โ€™s and a high 31. โžก๏ธPOSITIVES: 1๏ธโƒฃ I increased my reps from 10 to 12. 2๏ธโƒฃ I ran all my times on the dot and closer together in the 32โ€™s with only 2 reps slowing to 33 (1st rep warming up into the workout & 10th rep bc I got lazy). โžก๏ธNEGATIVES: I got lazy on the 10th rep because the intensity was starting to wear on me physically. I also wanted to run more 31โ€™s, but honestly I think I would rather take controlled 32โ€™s as opposed to being all over the map with more 31โ€™s and then possibly slowing to 33โ€™s. Palm Springs-ish Date Shake Smoothie Makes 1 serving 3 Medjool dates, pitted, chopped and soaked in 1/4 cup of hot water for 10-15 minutes ยผ cup toasted walnuts ยฝ banana, sliced and frozen ยผ tsp vanilla bean powder or ยฝ tsp vanilla extract Pinch of sea salt Pinch of cinnamon โ…“ to ยฝ cup cashew milk (or other nut milk) (optional: ยฝ cup of ice) Place all the ingredients (including the date soaking liquid) in a high-speed blender and blend until combined. Adjust the amount of cashew milk to achieve a shake-like consistency. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

100 Squat Challenge Day 16 โœ” Had a great workout at Tiger Rock doing about 600 kicks and getting in some headstand and balance work! But then it was time to load up the weight and get in my 100 heavy squats! Half way thru this challenge!!! 1โƒฃ Cable Sissy Squats 12 x 4 - it looks weird because of the angle of set up but these squats are amazing for targeting the glutes! Be sure to keep engagement though your lats the entire time and focus on sitting back into the squat. 2โƒฃ Back Squats 8 x 4 - today I took a narrower stance than I usually do because I am still nursing a hip flexor strain. 3โƒฃ Sumo Dumbbell Squat 10 x 4 - You don't need an elevated platform for these I'm just on the bumper plates because I went straight into the next exercise! Make sure to switch your grip each set. Superset with exercise 4. 4โƒฃ Sumo Elevated DB Squat Deadlifts 10 x 4 - and yes I totally just made up that name because I have no idea what these are actually called! You can set the weight down each rep or keep more time under tension and not set it down. I only set it down today because these are new weights and I forgot to wipe the oily residue off of them so they were slipping out of my hands ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฆ. This variation is amazing to target the hamstrings a bit more than the quads! I run accountability groups online. I know, that sounded funny to me too the first time I joined one. Of course I wanted the at home workouts and meal plans but I totally didnโ€™t need an accountability group. What the heck is an accountability group anyways?! Yea, I definitely donโ€™t need that, itโ€™s gotta be fluffy and silly. Interestingly enough, it was absolutely the missing part that I didnโ€™t have before! Itโ€™s the secret sauce to keeping at it! Thereโ€™s no way that every day weโ€™ll wake up and want to spring out of bed for a workout. Thatโ€™s not reality so whatโ€™s going to help you stick to it on those days?! My accountability group, duh! When you roll over, grab your phone, and scroll social media to avoid getting out of bed (we all do it) youโ€™ll see sweaty faces of all the ladies in our group checking in with their workouts! Theyโ€™ll share what workout they did & maybe what made it hard, like their kids or dog interrupting them. But, the one thing we all have in common is that weโ€™re crushing excuses! Some days we literally show up just because everyone else did and our excuses just donโ€™t seem that big anymore. #IfTheyCanICan So no, we donโ€™t see each other in person as much as weโ€™d like, but we still cheer each other on like besties when goals are crushed!
