Bald feiert #ProjektCHTY 2. . 😊

Smile is the best remedy to all problems. If the people you smile at are those who love and support you, you'll get a smile in return which will promote a healthy environment. Reading is one of the things, along with my partner and walks in nature, keeping me sane during this time. . I've always looked to books for inspiration, especially during challenging times. . When I'm sick I read. . When I'm heartbroken I read. . When I don't understand what is going on in my life I read. . When I can't get my head around what is going on in the world I read. . Reading isn't really an escape for me. . It's a way of opening myself – and my thoughts and feelings – to a different POV. . And that's what I most need when I'm going through a challenging time. . The book I'm reading at the moment is helping me tremendously. . It's a page-turning memoir called High Achiever by Tiffany Jenkins about a young woman who got addicted to drugs, did some illegal stuff and then got sent to prison. . She's a very relatable character and – besides the drug and illegal activity part – could easily be one of your friends. . So when she described what it's like to be in prison without any freedoms (including phone calls and shampoo), I instantly felt better about all the cancelled work and travel plans, the idea of not being able to visit my partner's family in Europe, and all the temporary freedoms that have been taken from me. . That's why I love books so much. . They offer us a window into someone else's life – and that very often helps us view our own life differently. . Working hard on book 3. It is wayyyy different than the original episode. I am including new scenes and a completely new ending. So when this releases, you’ll definitely want to pick this one up and give it a read whether you are a fan of the show or not. #book #bookstagram #author #writingabook #novel #halloween #sharpcandy #bookseries

Social Distancing Day 25 Everyone enjoyed the banana oatmeal muffins we made last night, for breakfast. While the kids did their homeschool work, I made focaccia. The best one yet! We got outside to play before the rain came. Mitchell has been working on a book, since the quarantine started, can’t wait to read it! The kids did their guitar and ukulele lessons and it’s been great to hear them learn and play. Mitchell learned the Come As You Are riff by Nirvana, so we felt it was appropriate to plug him in to Jared’s rig. So fun to have him play a song that I’ve loved since I was a teenager. We ended the day with a movie night and snacks from our Disney trip. I may not know what day of the week it is, but I am thankful for each day we have together. Stay positive, we got this ❤️ #socialdistancing #covid #homebaker #focaccia #bakingbread #freshair #backyardliving #quarantinelife #writingabook #guitarlessons #stratocaster #ukulele #fender #nirvana #comeasyouare #proudmom #familytime #movienight #staypositive #wegotthis #inthistogether #whatdayisit #thankful @bindershiz @fender @fenderplay

We were at the gym one morning when my friend Marge told me she wanted to go on an African Safari. Who doesn't, right? "What's stopping you," I asked. "Money," she said. I said, "Where there's a will, there's a way. All you have to do is believe that it's possible. Can you do that?" Marge nodded in the affirmative. Eleven months later we were on a Go Ahead Tour headed to South Africa. Of course, it wasn't quite that simple. We did have to sign up as tour coordinators, recruit 5 paying passengers each, and get to the San Francisco airport--a mere 3 hours away, but air fare, meals, and hotel--all covered. We only paid the tax! I learned a long time ago that the first step in manifesting anything is believing it's possible. Yes! It is possible to spend 3 weeks in 4-star hotels in South Africa for less than $800. Yes! It is possible to quickly, easily and painlessly write the book you've been talking about for the past 10 years. Yes! It is possible to start your own business, learn to create a beautiful Instagram feed @KatCoroy, speak Spanish like a native. What is it that you really want? Where do you dream of going? Who would you love to meet? What's stopping you? Instead of can't, say can and then imagine what your life could be like if you, like Marge, truly believed in your heart of hearts that you could have it, do it, be it. Here's the secret: It's possible to do anything and have just about everything you truly desire. You just have to believe you can do it, believe you can have it, believe you can be it. Open your heart, share the love. 💖 * * * * * #ShareTheLove #women #transformation #womenentrepreneurs #spiritualentrepreneurs #retreatsforwomen #meditationeveryday #MeditationPractice #writinginspiration #writingabook #journalwriting #InspirationalSpeaker #author #writing workshop #motivate #spiritualprener #worklifebalance

Sorry guys, got started on content late today! ⠀ Anyways, yeah, your main character should make mistakes, too. Real mistakes with consequences. It adds to conflict and makes the story way more interesting. ⠀ ⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ #writingtips #writertips #tipsforwriting #tipsforwriters #tipsforauthors #write #writing #writingmotivation #writer #writers #author #authors #writinghelp #poetsofig #poetrycommunity #poetsofinstagram #writinginspiration #writersofinstagram #authorsofinstagram #writersofig #writerlife #writingbooks #writingnovels #writingabook #writinganovel #amwriting #writingcommunity#amreading

How do you control your story’s pacing? 🏃‍♂️⁣ ⁣ As I’m writing my story I’ve been wary about my pacing. Simple things like choosing where to end a chapter and how much dialogue I include can affect the pacing of the story for better or for worse. ⁣ ⁣ Check out these great tips from @writersdigest on pacing:⁣ ⁣ There are lots of tools to hasten your story. Some are better suited for micropacing—that is, line by line—and some are better suited for macropacing—pacing the story as a whole. Let’s take a closer look at each device.⁣ ⁣ 🏃 ACTION. Action scenes are where you “show” what happens in a story, and, when written in short- and medium-length sentences, they move the story along. Action scenes contain few distractions, little description, and limited transitions. Omit or limit character thoughts, especially in the midst of danger or crisis, since during a crisis people focus solely on survival. To create poignancy, forgo long, descriptive passages and choose a few details that serve as emotionally charged props instead.⁣ ⁣ 😧 CLIFF HANGERS. When the outcome of a scene or chapter is left hanging, the pace naturally picks up because the reader will turn the page to find out what happens next. Readers both love and hate uncertainty, and your job is to deliver plenty of unfinished actions, unfilled needs, and interruptions. Remember, cliff hangers don’t necessarily mean that you’re literally dangling your character from a rooftop as the scene ends. If your characters are in the midst of a conversation, end the scene with a revelation, threat, or challenge.⁣ ⁣ 💬 DIALOGUE. Rapid-fire dialogue with little or no extraneous information is swift and captivating, and will invigorate any scene. The best dialogue for velocity is pared down, an abbreviated copy of real-life conversation that snaps and crackles with tension. It is more like the volleying of Ping-Pong or tennis than a long-winded discussion. Reactions, descriptions, and attributions are minimal. Don’t create dialogue exchanges where your characters discuss or ponder. Instead, allow them to argue, confront, or engage in a power struggle.⁣ ⁣ For the rest of the article check out the link in the bio!

Let me tell you a story... About a girl who really messed up her life, but found her way out through the forgiveness, redemption and love of a Heavenly Father.⠀ ⠀ And... came out better and stronger!⠀ ⠀ And to keep in the story-telling theme, I wrote a book about my revised life, one that incorporates the journal entries I kept during those dark days in prison. ⠀ ⠀ Visit the link in my bio to get to our online shop and get a copy of the book Repeatedly Revised. ⠀ ⠀ And while we're talking about telling a story.... do you have one? Maybe you've thought about how you can share that with the world? I've got just what you need in in our online shop... it's a digital course on telling and writing your story! Go check it out!

Preface.... Last December I started an online Instagram Makeover Course with Kat Coroy. I made it through 4 weeks and then life got in the way. I was just about to jump back in when the world changed. Part of the course is coming up with a look for your Instagram feed. I'm happy with the look I came up with but it seems strange to upload content without mention of the current world situation. Now that I've mentioned it, I'm going to begin posting my first 9 images and then I'll be current. I love meaningful quotes. Here's a great one by Steve Jobs: "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it." * * * * * #womenentrepreneurs #spiritualentrepreneurs #retreatsforwomen #meditationeveryday #MeditationPractice #writinginspiration #writingabook #journalwriting #InspirationalSpeaker #author #writing workshop #motivate #spiritualprener #worklifebalance Sent via @planoly #planoly #SteveJobsQuote

You won't always please everyone, but if you please yourself, others will join. Tolkien is such an inspiration, the king of fantasy, a complete and utter nerd, aspire to be yourself, just like him, write what you want, more so write what you need, because there will be others who need it, and others who don't know they needed it. . . . . #writing #writingcommunity #writinglife #amwriting #keepwriting #writingofig #creativewriting #writersofig #writer #quote #writingabook #writingsociety #novel #poetry #vicjwizard #writers #igwriter #writerscorner #motivationalquotes #novelquotes #songlyrics #quotes

Quick update on my writing: I’m currently writing the fourth book in the Spirit Chronicles, Broken Minds. I’m making it a #campnanowrimo project (even though it’s too long to finish in a month😅). Because the book is written from like...five different perspectives and it’s hopefully going to be around 800 pages long, I’m breaking it up into pieces as I write. I’m gonna focus on specific character arcs at a time. I currently have about 70 pages written all from James’ perspective, and after I’m done with his arc I’m going to move onto Scarlet’s. Once I’m done with everyone’s stories I’m going to paste them all together in the right order into my original book document. It’s gonna be a lot of work and it wasn’t easy to organize originally, but now I’m really excited to work on it!! I’m so close to being done with James’ part (sadly😢), and I’m hoping to be done with the whole book by August!💞💞💞 #oc #originalcharacter #writing #writingabook #writingafantasynovel #fantasy #fantasybook #fantasybooks #books #writer #bookstagram #writingtips #writingcommunity #writinginspiration #writersofinstagram #writewritewrite #myocs #ocs #writersofinstagram #writing #write #writingnovel #writingfantasybook #writingbooks #occosplay #killingspirits #mywip #wip #fairies #fairytale #magic

What type of art are you creating? Macrame? Writing a book? Happy planning? I’m trying to take advantage of this time at home to update my website, work through emails, start blogging again, and ultimately create more content. I’ve got so much stored up in my brain that I need to get out. What is holding me back but ME? What is holding you back? Create. More. Art.
