Our owner @gudashley writes: "When I was in the process of opening the studio a few advisors suggested I 'figure out the yoga first' and then add childcare to the studio down-the-line. But from the beginning I was adamant that we would offer enough (affordable) childcare for any parent to build & maintain a consistent practice. . The self-love movement has been taking its hold on social media lately. I think it’s wonderful people have a medium to express themselves with but the movement can be muddled by narcissism, and rigid beliefs. Social media itself is fueled by narcissism and instant gratification which by our nature can be what we crave. Just like junk food- it’s not good for us. I see a lot of self-love posts as “this is the way I am, and if you don’t understand - deal with it”. Self-love to me is loving yourself enough to spread love to others and not only bring high value to yourself - but everyone around you. Cutting toxic people out of your life is fine but in a world where media makes it so easy to shorten communication and conversation we often cut things out too quickly and abruptly. It’s okay for people to not understand you - but have love for them anyway. If they continue to bring negative value to your life, then cut them off. If there is no effort to connect with others you will never be connected. If you have been a victim of bullying, racism, prejudice or bigotry - I’m sorry, I have been too and it will always be a battle for me to work on myself. Use it - use it to change rather than isolate. I’ve tried to get so many people to come to yoga but they never have. I don’t think any less of them - when it’s their time to go to yoga, they will go to yoga... and that’s that. May the force be with you.

You can do before sleeping 😴 especially sitting all day . Teacher @yrc.yoga ・・・ . Suffering from the uncomfortable pain in low back? Try these simple movement to get the mobility in your spine. . . 🔹 Child's pose with blocks; Blocks under your forehead will allow your hips to sink down deeper on your heels. Open your knees wide, with your big toes together to avoid the roundness in your back. . . 🔹Cow pose; Arch your back! We round the back all the times, but we DO have natural curve in our spine! . 🔹 Cat pose; Pull the naval in! Squeeze your belly muscles! Round your back but with your CORE ENGAGED! Strong core is essential to protect your back. . 🔹Cat pose with knees off; This will strengthen your abs even more! Try with your upper back rounded. Protract your shoulder blades. Roundness in your back is MUST in this exercise 💁 . 🔹 Thread the needle pose; This will give the gentle twist for your entire spine. Twisting is SO rejuvenating for our spine! Also good stretch for the outer shoulder. . . 🔹 Half Uttanasana ; Stand against the wall with your palms in line with hips, and hips over the heels. Yoga great ... When malasana and single leg tadasana have some burpee-like tendencies, you might end up with this? . . I’ve been playing around with variations of malasana (the low frog squat) to single leg tadasana (standing balance on one leg) in my classes for awhile now. The malasana to chaturanga always warms my burpee loving heart. Filmed this the other day so I could share the heartwarmingness and since I just talked about mobility yesterday, thought I’d pass it on. . . . Side note, do you all remember from the days, ?!
