Одни говорят "живи для себя", другие противоречат "служение - высшая цель", "нужно думать о других", "только забота о других делает нас истинно счастливыми". Где же истина? 🍃 Нет противоречия, это разные стадии. До служения ещё нужно дорасти. Когда человек "выслуживается" раньше времени, ничего хорошего из этого не получается. Он делает-делает-делает всем "добро" до потери пульса, а потом выставляет счёт за лучшие годы жизни. Это рушит браки, союзы, семьи и пары. Потому что с черной дырой внутри невозможно служить, получается только выдача невозвратных кредитов. Из такого умонастроения и внутренней пустоты не нужно ждать благодарности, потому что вы на самом деле не для других делаете, а для того, чтобы вас похвалили. 🍃 Поэтому первый этап всё-таки жить для СЕБЯ, осознанно (более или менее, потому что нет 100%ной осознанности, если вы не просветлённый). Пройти все этапы по А. Маслоу, например. Познать себя, научиться удовлетворять самостоятельно свои потребности, найти внутренний баланс, после этого научиться общаться по-нормальному с людьми, дорасти до реализовываешь своего предназначения, и только потом уже человек готов к служению. Об этом Маслоу говорит в последние годы своей жизни, информация не популярная, но очень важная. Служение он называет самопреодолением, когда масштаб влияние человека преодолевает пределы его личности. 🍃 При этом можно заниматься благотворительностью, кормить животных, помогать старшим, делать другие добрые дела. Только не нужно об этом рассказывать и ждать втайне похвалы, делать не с намерением улучшить карму или замолить грехи, а воспитывать свой ум не требовать и не предъявлять претензии. 🍃 Некоторые чистые Души готовы к служению прямо с рождения, они особенные, Бодхисаттвы, их никогда не было много. Только сейчас пробуждается всё больше и больше людей, дети рождаются с уже открытым сердцем. Если повезёт, мы все дорастем до служения, искреннего, в любви и без ожидания чего-то взамен. 🍃 А пока что не пытаемся перепрыгнуть ступеньки и быть хорошими, продолжаем проходить стадии, искать источник внутри, учиться любить хотя бы себя, жить в настоящем моменте. 🍃 Photo by @giovanni_bali 📷

When I first saw this pose, I thought it’s impossible for me to do, so I was contented for doing the baby version 😅. I never tried practicing it until I attended @rhythm_of_yoga Yassmine’s class 🙏🏻. I didn’t manage to hold the pose then but it it made me realised that it’s not as hard as I thought it would be and that I think my body is ready for this pose. I tried it again during my trip in Bali and walla... I did it 😊. . . Listen, I’m not saying that this will be the case for everyone. I’ve been practicing yoga regularly that made my body ready for this pose without realising it coz I never tried. . . You see, all the practice we’ve been doing prepares our body to advance our practice. Don’t take for granted the basic poses coz without you knowing, it’s helping you do something you never thought you’ll be able to do. #everylittlethingscount . . Note : Grasshopper pose is an arm balance that requires arm strength, deep twist and open hips. So be sure warm up first- do lots of chatturanga, twists (like chair pose twist) and hip openers (like lizard) before tying this pose. . . Reposted from @marriedtohealth - Why are breathing & stretching good for the gut? They help stimulate the vagus nerve! (Pronounced just like Vegas, ‘cuz it’s a party inside your body!) Our vagus nerve is the longest of the 12 cranial nerves, connecting to the brain stem, reaching the lowest organ of your abdomen, touching your heart and most major organs along the way. . . The “wandering nerve”, as it is known (“vagus” means “wandering” in Latin) wanders to multiple places in the body. . . It’s one of the major players of the parasympathetic nervous system, which stimulates the “rest-and-digest” or “feed and breed” responses, which always strive to be in balance with the sympathetic nervous system, which drives the “fight-or-flight” response. . . Stimulating the vagus nerve will therefore reduce sympathetic activity. When activated, the vagus nerve can work its magic in the gut to promote: gastrointestinal peristalsis (movement of the GI tract)- reducing bloating and constipation, signaling hormones sending satiety (fullness) cues to the brain, protective reflexes, such as vomiting, regulation of inflammatory processes by signaling the brain to produce more or less inflammatory cytokines, triggering direct release of serotonin and dopamine in the brain, amongst many other important functions. . . Want to stimulate your vagus nerve? Try: 🧠 Deep, diaphragmatic breathing (at least 5 second inhale, 5+ second exhale). . 🧠 Stretching your midsection and back (@sarahbethyoga has great videos for this). . 🧠 Loud humming. . 🧠 Loud singing. . 🧠 Deep gargling (we recommend this in the shower, until you almost feel or do feel tears streaming down your face). . 🧠 Inducing gag reflex (NOT vomiting). Not recommended for those with a history of eating disorder. . 🧠 Using vagus nerve stimulation machines. . If you’re having frequent gut issues, a great place to start is to just chill, breathe, & stretch! 🌴🦎🏋🏻‍♂️Day 2️⃣5️⃣ of #BendAsNeeded with @cyogalife ➡️​​ #Bridge or #SetuBandhasana variant 🏋🏻‍♂️🦎🌴 Last few days and last 4-group too...here we go! Make sure you warm up your neck specially (back too), before attempting it. The most immediate way to enter would be from Bridge, bring palms next to ears, fingers pointing down, like you were about to press into Wheel but, instead of lifting all the way up, just rest on the crown. Carefully lower one arm at a time to hold the ankles, ground strongly through the feet and roll on the head, stretching throat, vocal cords, front of the neck and chest. Stop if it bothers your cervicals, even back off a bit if needed. When practiced on a sticky mat, it gives a firmer sensation but, if you’re still unsure, modify and do one arm & leg at a time. Remember you’re not trying to push ​down​ but rather ​roll​ on the head, like a ball, so you won’t get tension in the neck. There’s a lot of mental apprehension against this variant. I know too well, I was there myself. If you warm up thoroughly the neck in all directions, feel your legs solid and sturdy, impossible to move, and roll gradually (speed is your enemy here, for many different reasons!), it’s quite yummy. Once you’ve taken a few breaths, expanding all along the front of the body, chin to kneecaps, return palms on the mat, next to ears, then roll out in slow motion. It’s also a great prep pose for any kind of Chin stand (less intense too). Time to unroll that mat, #practice it and let me know below of any issues, maybe I can help. Your turn...
