Kadar koga poslušamo, je dobro, da ga ne poslušamo le s svojim umom, pač pa z vsem telesom. Ko poslušamo občutimo energetsko polje lastnega telesa. To nam odvrača pozornost od lastnega mišljenja in odpira v nas prostor spokojnosti, ki nam omogoča, da resnično poslušamo, brez motenj uma. Osebi, ki jo poslušamo s tem dajemo prostor in pozornost, da lahko JE. To je najdargocenejše darilo, ki ga osebi lahko damo. Veliko ljudi še ne zna poslušati, saj so med poslušanjem pozorni na lastno mišljenje in s tem namenjajo več pozornosti lastnemu mišljenju, kakor besedam, ki jih izreče sogovornik. S tem zgrešijo bistvo druge osebe, ki se nahaja za besedami in umom. Seveda lahko Bitje drugega občutimo le skozi svoje lastno Bitje. To je začetek o enotnosti, kajti vsi smo med seboj povezani, to je začetek ljubezni… Na najglobji ravni Bitja postanemo eno z vsem kar je. Naši odnosi so lahko veliko več, ko v komunikaciji sodeluje več kot le naš racionalni um. Ko se sporazumevamo v celoti, kot celota preko vsake celice v našem telesu, se med seboj globje povežemo in s tem v odnosu ustvarimo več miru, povezanosti in ljubezni. Če poslušamo s celotnim lastnim Bitjem in soBitju naklonimo vso svojo pozornost, začutimo, da se povežemo tudi na najvišjem nivoju in s tem odpiramo prostor, kjer se duše srečajo. Yin Yoga practice with Elvis the Cockatoo - wanted to do some lower back and calf stretch, didn't quite choose a flow that did that hehe. Now, I ain't much for static stretching, I find it boring and got quite bored 30 minutes, that said, my poses did become deeper while staying in the pose for 3-5 minutes. . Cuando decidimos que es hora de grandes cambios en nuestras vidas, es aconsejable facilitarlos comenzando de a poco. Incluso si hemos tomado esa ruta y nos encontramos contemplando la opción de comenzar de nuevo, podemos decidir tomarlo con calma esta vez y seguir adelante. . A veces, los objetivos que nos fijamos son meramente indicadores de la necesidad de cambio y son útiles para que avancemos en la dirección correcta. Pero es posible que una vez que probemos lo que parecía tan ideal, descubramos que en realidad no nos conviene o nos hace sentir de la manera que esperábamos. Al embarcarnos en el camino lentamente, tenemos la oportunidad de mirar a nuestro alrededor y considerar otras opciones a medida que aprendemos y crecemos. Tenemos tiempo para examinar los valores subyacentes del deseo de cambio y encontrar formas de manifestar esos sentimientos, ya sea que se vea exactamente como nuestro objetivo inicial o no. “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” // Margaret Mead So I just arrived in Amsterdam after four days of therapy incorporating use of magic mushrooms, which are legal in the Netherlands. I know, sounds so crazy right? LOL, it was. Basically I spent two days lying down with my eyes closed on high doses of psilocybin (listening to some awesome classical music 😍) while another person held space for me and wrote down everything that came up. And you guys, a LOT came up. It is so crazy how much we bottle up inside—for me, a whole lifetime of trauma—and getting some of this stuff out was extremely painful and difficult. I cried so much. Despite the pain, these mushroom experiences were also deeply profound and beautiful. I thought about all of the love in my life, had profound insights about my purpose on this planet and the meaning of life, and, for the first time in a long time, truly felt a deep connection to a higher power. It is not an exaggeration to say this was one of the most meaningful experiences *of my entire life.* And it leads to real action. After this therapy, I had the courage to reach out to my dad, who I haven’t talked to since 2016, and tell him that I love him. I could go on, but if you’re interested in hearing more just shoot me a DM. In my line of work it is incredibly easy to get burned out. I am holding space for students, staff, teachers, and wearing a million different hats all at once—entrepreneur, yoga teacher, manager, etc. This work is NOT easy, although I realize it can seem glamorous on social media. That said, this therapy reminded me that spreading the practice of yoga is the work I am called to do, and it is so meaningful not just for me but for all of the people it touches. We are making a difference. I cannot wait to come home and dive back into studio life; to serve my community in a more authentic and committed way. A big shoutout to my @highlandyoga family. You all make the world better 💗
