The magic of finding everyday self care is a challenge for most of us. As the holiday season falls upon us, finding time is even more important in reducing anxiety and stressful living. The significance of a self-care regime has empowered me to discover ways to incorporate acts of self love into my daily life. When we nurture ourselves daily, we strengthen that self care muscle in our brain that allows us to live from a place of freedom and calm. Whether it be reading a book, taking a yoga class, enjoying the outdoors, meeting with friends, simple conscious breathing; all replenish and rejuvenate ourselves from the inside out. THORACIC COILING THORACIC COILING THORACIC COILING 🌟 All I can hear as I try to open my upper back without letting my front ribs splay open ⭕️ I’m not the most back bendy of people, but figured I would share this intense RIGHT SIDE UP hollowback stretch. I saw most people sharing inverted ones for this posture, so I thought I’d go against the grain by standing on my feet! ✨ Apologies for my tardiness on this post-yesterday was a rainy day I spent in my PJ’s and I simply didn’t have the energy to take this photo (so I took it this morning when I wasn’t warm 🤣) When I’m very warmed up, and have help, I can occasionally get my butt the touch the back wall, but I require hands on my hips to kind of man handle me into place. Suuuuuuper yogic stuff right there. Doing the stretch with just my breath today. Hope you enjoy. I used to think everyone was worthy of my love. Now as I respect myself and pay homage to the amount of dedication I’ve put into self reflection, self responsibility and self improvement on all levels (and it’s been ALOT of “sacrifice” & WORK) I realize if people are assholes they don’t deserve my excuses, nor my taking the blame (there is a fine line between martyrdom and channeling the qualities of Jesus!).
