Beautiful afternoon couple days ago. Photo from our backyard, we have plenty of space just for ourselves. Either you go with the sled or by walking you’ll always find peace of mind ✨ at Lapland (Finland)

Little Kerttu ♥️ it’s her first winter running with the team and she is absolutely kicking it! Only 1,5 years old, small sized and bit shy with new people but sooo fast and so strong, she could just go and go and go🥇 today she was our main leader together with the wise boy Einstein. He is the white one on the left, definitely born to be in 1st place.

Last week Mohikaani had a nice chat with @valtteribottas. Seems like that F1 driver still needs little bit practise about how to drive with dogs 😄 🎥 @paulripke

He is one of the snow puppies, Tykky, and he is bit over seven months now. This boy and his siblings were named after the different types of snow. There are over a hundred words to describe snow in Finnish. According to translator ”Tykky” means heavy dense wet snow. It is correct, but still not exactly right...it doesn’t describe it as much as the word ”Tykky” does, even though it’s only one word. 🌅✨💫 at Lapland (Finland)

If you ever have visited our home, this should be a familiar face for you. He is one of the golden oldies of our pack. Less than a month and Rontti and his siblings Ruska and Roisto are turning 14 years old. All of them are retired so they are spending most of their time chilling and focusing of being a kick-ass house dogs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We don’t have certain age limit for the retirement. Our huskies can run as long as they want to if they still are in good physical condition. There are differences between the dogs and their personalities, some of them would never stop and some of them just decides at one point that okay, I think I’m done and then we support that decision. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We don’t force our dogs to pull the sled, but it’s very important that they get some exercise to improve their natural movement. After you’ve been marathoner for your whole life, your body goes like ”whaaat?” if you suddenly just stop. You just need to be aware that the speed isn’t too fast and the routes are short and easy. Even one or two kilometers can do the magic already. These golden oldies are diamonds of the pack. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This dog house is Rontti’s castle. He comes for the cuddles and goes back to this. But the thing is… This dog house is build for the smaller huskies, so he can’t actually fit in. He is way too fluffy to go inside. There are plenty dog houses in the yard, he has options. But still. This is his spot. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ He is 100% happy with the entrance of the dog house. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (We love him 100%) at Posio Lapland

When the sun is going down, colors in the horizon are constantly changing. First it’s all the shades of yellow and orange, then red, then different kind of blue, then it’s just pure magic... 🌙💫 When it gets dark enough and the sky is clear, the northern lights may to come and show us the way. We have seen the auroras hundreds of times (definitely one of the million reasons to move up north, life here is 100% good) but still everytime those magical lights comes bright, it leaves us speechless. at Lapland (Finland)

Beauty of today 💙✨ This boy Halla is always excited and very eager to go wherever, doesn’t like the rest days... At all. One day when we left him home to get some rest he jumped over all the fences and came to starting point like ”what???? human NOW take out my harness and put it on me I mean RIGHT NOW PLEASE” But resting is necessary even for the most energetic ones - unfortunately it’s very hard to explain that to someone who doesn’t speak human language and just wants to run, run, run and then run some more. He is perfect! at Lapland (Finland)

Here are Seita and Sirius, the most lovable brothers, very easy to train and handle. Very playful and energetic ❤️ They are not even a year old and they already are bigger than basically anyone from our pack. Seita especially, the white one, loves hugging with people and he immediately comes to sit on your lap when you sit down somewhere. Can’t believe how small they were just a minute ago, look at the berry picture! Boys ran their first seconds with the team about a week ago, Sirius is the last one on the right side in that short video. Look at him! First time ever and already rolling like a professional. Both were definitely born to run 🐾💙 Seita and Sirius send some love to @hiddentrailhuskies ✨ at Kota-Husky

We are about to open some new routes, so Lauri has been wandering a lot in the wild. Sometimes shit happens and this is how we found him couple days ago. BUT hard work pays off, so now the wanderer himself says that he has discovered the most beautiful dog sledding route in the whole northern Europe. No lack of confidence. But yeah, that’s surely 182% guaranteed. Welcome to discover, adventure awaits. (Both Lauri and the snowmobile are okay) at Riisitunturin kansallispuisto

Impossible to do anything but stop whatever you were doing and start to cuddle. Tätä kutsumme force majoureksi jos esim myöhästymme jostain. Ehdottomasti ylitsepääsemätön este, jonka kohdalle on aina pakko pysähtyä 🐾💙 at Lapland (Finland)

Yesterday and today has been resting days for the runners, which meant that we had more time to spend with the young-ones. Our pups were born last summer and they are growing (too) fast. Tykky, Kinos, Kuura and Räme here in photos 💙 Free running and quality time in the forest for all. Day spent with husky-puppies is a day well spent. at Lapland (Finland)
