After temporarily adding the flares, the fitment is adjusted. Completely on aired out, the tuck of the wheel just barely clamps the dollar bill.
Clecos are added to temporarily hold the flare in place, drastically cutting down on time spend drilling out rivets.
The metal tabs are cut to make room for the tires. It allows the ability to create more or less room depending on your wheel and it’s offset.
Watching @inw_performance work is like watching a potter mold clay. Sometimes it fails and takes multiple tries to get the perfect result. Other times you see his craft perform at the peak of his skill and the result is wonderful.
After the flares are fitted to the car, the existing OEM fender flares are removed to provide room for the wide rear tires.
Even though the flares were designed with the shape of the car in mind, the carbon fiber still needs to be custom fitted to the car.
