Today is one of the first days that you can taste 2017 wine๐Ÿท Thursday 16th November is celebrated in France as the day when the first bottles of each year's Beaujolais Nouveau wine are available.ย The grapes are harvested in September and produced quickly using artisanal techniques, so it is on the shelves six to eight weeks later. Every year, 28 million bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau are produced and shipped around the world. The verdict on Beaujolais Nouveau 2017? Light, colourful and fruity - a good year. Cheers! at Classico La Brasserie

One day, when I was walking through Auckland I stumbled upon this cemetery. Something about it made me stop for a while. It was so peaceful and the shadows and light were mesmerising. It was a perfect moment of stillness and reflection. at Auckland, New Zealand

I used to live in the charming little village of Mount Eden in Auckland. Here the quaint shops and cafรฉs are dominated by the eponymous dormant volcano, also known as Maungawhau. A sacred spot for the Maori people, its summit is the highest natural point in Auckland. Mount Eden Road winds through the village and around the base of the volcano. I used to take this picturesque route to work every day and count my lucky stars. Also, New Zealand's legendary All Blacks rugby team play at nearby Eden Park! ๐Ÿ‰ at Mt Eden Village

Every corner you turn in New Zealand is a new adventure at Auckland, New Zealand

Auckland's landmark volcano island as seen from picturesque Devonport. Its name, Rangitoto, is Maoriย for 'Bloody Sky'. Formed by a series of eruptions between 6000 and 550 years ago, the most recent eruption created most of Rangitoto island, as an astonishing 2.3 cubic km of lavaย flows hardened ๐ŸŒ‹ at Auckland, New Zealand

Me, hot and tired after hiking to the summit of Rangitoto island, off the coast of Auckland, New Zealand. It was a fun day, despite appearances! At 5.5km wide and 260m high, Rangitoto is the largest and youngest of Auckland's 50 volcanoes. at Rangitoto Island

The spectacular view of Auckland and its Sky Tower from the top of the sacred Mount Eden. This was one of my favourite places when I lived there - such a peaceful place to reflect. at Mount Eden

View of Auckland city from dreamy, green Devonport. I'm feeling nostalgic about my time living in New Zealand, I just loved it there ๐Ÿ˜ at Devonport, New Zealand

This week I'm happy to be featured in an article about the world's best hot air balloon rides, with my review of a sunrise flight over the Serengeti. Far below us, we could see animals emerging for the morning, from herds of prancing antelopes to an ominous lone hyena hungry for breakfast. Quite simply, a blissful adventure - and the day had only just begun! ๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŠ๐ŸŒฒ at Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Beautiful Bondi. This beach definitely lives up to expectations! Though most of the time I wasn't on the beach but going to Bikram yoga classes in the city, which I'd just discovered - hard work but you feel so energised afterwards! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ™ . . . . . #flashesofdelight #beachvibes #mytinyatlas #beachy #aroundtheworldpix #theglobewanderer #theprettycities #exploringtheglobe #travelog #instatravel #roamtheplanet #awesome_earthpix #travelog #artofvisuals #flashesofdelight #thecreative #ig_masterpiece #islandhopping #seeaustralia #exploreaustralia #australiagram #ilovesydney #ig_australia #cityofsydney #androidography #androidnesia #androidinstagram #instaandroid #focalmarked at Bondi, New South Wales, Australia

Everybody needs good Neighbours... I was super excited to visit the real life Ramsay Street in Melbourne. People actually live here! Do you remember whose house this is in the TV show? As it was a winter's day I wore a leather biker jacket and fake fur gilet from @longtallsally over my favourite travel pocket dress - so well made, they have kept their place in my wardrobe for years! at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Footprints on Coogee Beach. Just a few miles from Sydney's busy city centre, this is Australia in the depths of winter time. Not bad! ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒ… I'm writing this from a fairly dingy European autumn, so it's nice to reminisce! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I remember I had just met with the lovely @samanthanolansmith and was feeling reflective following our conversation as I walked along the soft sand. at Coogee, New South Wales, Australia

It's amazing what you discover in Kerala. Not sure why this mermaid is here on the cliffs overlooking Varkala beach but she's beautiful! ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿ  at Varkala

We made a friend on Varkala beach. You can watch so much going on here in the evenings, from men sorting the catch from their fishing nets to people practising tai chi. For more Kerala inspiration, visit the blog post in my bio ๐ŸŒž at Varkala Beach

Kerala kids. We met these schoolkids while wandering around Fort Kochi. They were full of beans and super excited, asking us if we would take their photo, then so happy to check out the picture! Super cute. I wish I could bottle their energy! ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™‹ at Kochi, India

Kerala sunset. Because you can never have too many beach sunsets! ๐ŸŒ… at Varkala Beach

Floating along the backwaters of Alleppey is one of the most blissful things you can do in Kerala. Totally worth the splurge. I loved watching the kids playing on the river banks, seeing the sunset and sailing across the open lagoon. And the seafood! Unbeatable. More details on this and other essential Kerala experiences in my latest blog post - details in my bio! at Alleppey, Kerala, India
