Dame Dash Calls Funkmaster Flex A "Slave" And Demands His "Masters" Bench Him At Hot 97 - blogged by @honeygrip ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The beef between #DameDash and #FunkFlex seems to escalate every time they hit new lows. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Recently, Dame took to Instagram to demand that Flex's bosses at Hot 97 intervene and put the DJ in check. This was in response to Flex's comments about the rap mogul after his interview on Nick Cannon’s "Cannon's Class" Podcast. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ During the interview, Cannon brought up the longstanding rumors about the alleged nature of Jay-Z and Foxy Brown's working relationship.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While Dame did not confirm the old rumors, his response didn't do much to defend his former Roc-a-fella partner. The implied shade of his response drew immediate criticism from rapper 50 Cent and Funk Flex. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As 50 commented that the show should be renamed "2 suckers chatting class", Flex went a step further, calling Dame a "disgrace" and referencing Dash's failed marriage to fashion designer Rachel Roy by saying "Dame intern/wife took all his shit." Roy was once an intern at Rocawear clothing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But now, it seems Dame is no longer amused. In a response posted to his Instagram account, Dame, accompanied by his lovely daughter with Rachel Roy, Ava, addressed Flex and his bosses at Hot 97, as well as the CEO of the station’s parent company, Jeff Smulyan, with veiled legal threats. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In a lengthy written rant, Dame called Flex a "careercoon" and addressed the execs direction, saying: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I'm letting you know now we have a problem, but I'm not dealing with a slave I'm gonna deal with your master @hot97 and Jeff Smulyan your slave has gone too far on your behalf, and it's gonna cost you I suggest y'all holla at me before I holla at y'all it will be cheaper…but I suggest y'all bench your slave before he cost y'all more trust me."

Michelle Obama’s “Becoming” Has Longest Run As Amazon’s No. 1 Best Selling Since 2012 - blogged by @msJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Forever First Lady #MichelleObama has secured yet another feat, thanks to her critically-acclaimed autobiography, “Becoming,” released in November 2018. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Upon its release, according to The Hill, “Becoming” sold more than 2 million copies, and was almost immediately named the best-selling hardcover book of 2018 by her publisher, Penguin Random House. If that wasn’t enough, “Becoming” also became the fastest-selling book of the year at Barnes and Noble only days after its release. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But now, more than two months after its initial release, Obama’s best-selling memoir has had the longest run as Amazon’s best-selling book, since the 2012 release of “Fifty Shades of Grey.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to the publication, the book landed the No. 1 spot on Amazon back in November, the day before its release, and has maintained the position for the past nine weeks. In fact, according to the online retailer, Obama’s book was the “most sold on Amazon across all formats for 47 consecutive days.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Obama's book joins a short list of best sellers with historical streaks atop Amazon’s list. In fact, only seven others have had longer streaks - four of which were part of the “Harry Potter” series, while the other three were, “Da Vinci Code” in 2003; “A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose” in 2008 and "Fifty Shades of Grey.”

Proctor & Gamble’s Gillette Brand Receives Backlash For New Anti-Bullying And #MeToo-Centered Ad Campaign - Blogged By: @carmen.roxanna ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It seems as though any company that speaks up and advocates against things we ALL know are wrong, they get backlash. First Nike for supporting #Kaep, and now #Gillette for campaigning against sexual harassment and bullying while urging men to make a change. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The reputable shaving razor company switched up its 30 year tagline "The Best A Man Can Get," for the revised “The Best Men Can Be" in the campaign, which features almost two-minutes of men intervening to stop fights between young boys and berating others men for saying/doing sexually inappropriate things to females in public. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Gillette said in a news released announcing the campaign that the company has a "responsibility to make sure we are promoting positive, attainable, inclusive and healthy versions on what it means to be a man." The company also included a pledge to donate $1 million annually for the next three years to a nonprofit devoted to helping men "achieve their personal 'best.'" According to #Adweek, The Boys and Girls Club of America will be the first recipient of the donation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just like the controversial #Nike ad campaign featuring former NFL star #ColinKaepernick, Gillette's "The Best Men Can Be" campaign received ample backlash on social media and many have called for a boycott of its products. However, there is a significant difference between the two overall reception of both ad campaigns. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ First, the Gillette advertisement video on #YouTube reports 352,000 likes and 738,000 dislikes as of ....…to read the rest log on to (clickable link on profile)

Terry Crews Says Black Men Shunned Him While Black Women Supported Him After Sexual Assault Confession: “All My Support Came From Black Women. Straight Up” - Blogged by: @RaquelHarrisTV (@bravowwhl) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #TerryCrews says Black women supported him following his confession of sexual assault while Black men stayed silent. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Back in 2017, Crews was allegedly assaulted by Hollywood executive #AdamVenit during an industry event, where Crews claims Venit grabbed his crotch. Eventually, Crews opened up about the assault, but instead of receiving support and praise from the entire Black community, Crews says it was majority Black women who stood firmly by his side while Black men offered no empathy. Crews has since filed a lawsuit against Venit, which reached a settlement with Venit denying all allegations. However, Venit’s denial became less believable after Crews posted an apology that was sent to him from Venit on Facebook, which raised more attention.  During Crews’ sit-down with #AndyCohen, he discussed how Black women were right by his side through the entire ordeal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "To be honest with you, when it first happened, there was none [no support] for a long time," he said. "The people who surprised me the most were Black women.” Crews then expressed how he was disappointed in Black men for not speaking up. "Black men did not want any part of it," he continued. "All my support came from Black women. Straight up." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Crews said he originally thought Black men would have been the main force protecting him the most. "A lot of guys were just like, 'Man, you weak. You sorry. You should have hit him. You should've knocked him out. You should have did all this stuff,'" he said. "Black women were like, 'No, no, it doesn't work like that.' I was shocked at the split within my own community." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thoughts?
