@moco_arch and @ballymore have achieved planning consent for EGHQ, for the third phase of the Embassy Gardens masterplan at Nine Elms for @ballymore . EGHQ is a commercial led development, creating around 300,000 sqft of high-quality workspace directly opposite the new US Embassy. The project responds to complex site constraints creating a series of shifted blocks which break down the mass into considered and elegant proportions. Seven separate terrace levels are conceived to enrich the office space and provide tenants with impressive views of the river Thames. The design centres around bold, landscape proportion windows, allowing for wide and uninterrupted views. A rich material palette of brick piers and concrete lintels give the building solidity and weight, with subtle shifts in material tone used between the blocks, responding to the surrounding context. www.morrisand.company ______________________ #morrisandcompany #mocoarchitects #moco_voices #achangeofstate

Want a non-bulky case but the protection of one? Look no further than the Unicorn Beetle pro case by SUPCASE. It’s one of the thinnest drop proof case you can get! I live a pretty active lifestyle(aka I drop my phone a lot) but it’s always hard to find a case that I can use while I’m outdoors adventuring but also comfy enough to wear for my everyday life. With this case I’m able to get the best of both worlds! Stylish and convenient while being rugged enough for those hard impact hits. Make sure to check them out and protect all your devices ranging from phones, tablets, smartwatches and even laptops. Driving out to Milford Sound in style with @trekkeradventures on the South Island of New Zealand this past winter. Land Rover Defender with a couple roof top tents. 👌🏼 And if you scroll right you can hear my best efforts at a New Zealand accent. 😂

Realistic? Graduate Thesis model by SCI-Arc Gehry Prize-winner and M.Arch Student Liang Yu @yuliangsayso (Advisor: @atelier_manferdini) “The question of what constitutes the real has become more contradictory and interesting than any previous time. The cities we live in are the cities in our minds. The actual physical reality does still matter, but how people comprehend it increasingly matters against that reality. Architecture is not supposed to negotiate the real, but negotiate the imagined reality: architects don’t make buildings, instead, they imagine buildings. What we called real and imaginary are blending together, constituting an intersected painting of object-buildings and a city of memory.”
