*if you are not from/in NYC: that IS the real street name 🙂 at New York, New York
This entire #castiron building on the corner of Spring and Mercer at 101 Spring Street used to belong to one man: American artist Donald Judd (if you frequent such museums as Whitney and Dia: Beacon, you are most likely familiar with his strictly geometric art). Judd Foundation maintains the building as a museum where every single thing is kept precisely where Judd put it himself. It’s worth going on a tour (check Judd Foundation’s web site for schedule) to explore one man’s obsession with space, shapes, and light. Visitors are discouraged from taking photographs while on a tour so I do not have much to show ... But swipe Left to see Dan Flavin’s light installation on the top floor that was designated as family sleeping quarters (yes, amazingly, Judd started a family while living and working in this building, and his 2 children spent the first 6-7 years of their lives in it.). at New York, New York
Two works by @helaenablanch somewhere between Queens and Brooklyn, near the Pulaski bridge (yes, I got lost #inthemiddleofnowhere ...) ▫️On the right: “Empire State of Exhaustion” — I can definitely relate to that! 🤦🏻♀️🤣▫️On the left: “Basic” — someone else saw Kim K. in that purple flirt, but I did not ... To me, it looks like one of many young girls of vaguely Mediterranean or Hispanic descent who walk the imaginary catwalk along the streets of Queens ... Celebrity is just like beauty, in the eye of the beholder ... at Queens, New York

The Empire State Building was erected to outshine the Chrysler Building that went up the previous year. And outshine it did, both in height and celebrity status. So naturally, those two divas prefer to stay away from each other ... But sometimes, as if in a dream, you can see the two #iconicbeauties inching closer to each other ... at Queens, New York
These boots are made for walkin’, and that’s just what they’ll do // one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you. // Are you ready boots?Start walkin’! —Have you seen the original video for that song with Nancy Sinatra (1966)? It’s straight out of “Austin Powers”!! 🙂🤣 at New York, New York
Has anyone seen the Andy Warhol exhibit at the Whitney yet?... or, planning to go soon?... This is one of the last #kobrastreetart projects in “Colors of Freedom” series in NYC: at 10th Avenue and 22 Street. at New York, New York
This bridge seems to be under a massive attack by Nature —Swipe ↔️ — but it’s not abandoned. On the contrary, it supports several very active tracks, both passenger and freight, and according to Discover Magazine, it will last a millennium (while most bridges fall within 300 years). Do you know its name?.. 🙂 #thisisnewyorkcity at Queens, New York

“An exploded Malibu Barbie house”, that is how Andrew Berman, executive director of the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation, has described this building. And I could not agree more!
PALAZZO CHUPI at 360 West 11th Street between Washington and West Streets is a residential condominium building designed by painter and film director Julian Schnabel in the style of a Northern Italian palazzo, built on top of a former horse stable. Schnabel uses the lower four floors, the former stable, as a studio. They also contain a parking garage, art gallery space and swimming pool.
The building, which contains five "palatial" units, is easy to spot because of its singular style and bold pink color. The name is taken from the trendy Spanish lollipop called "Chupa Chups"; Schnabel used Chupi as a pet name for his second wife Olatz López Garmendia. at Greenwich Village
